Tearing through these three books by Ms. Sefer, I could definitely see an emerging pattern. All three works had great romances, of course, but far more than that, each tale was movie-like riveting, from beginning to end. With the wonderful backdrop of the Greek Isles, where the sparkling Aegean, the sparse, striking white buildings, and the fine Greek cuisine all played hosts to family secrets, inheritances, and an old, unsolved murder, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. DEFINITELY 5*!

  My first love was reading. From the age of ten I read everything I could get my hands on. I was seventeen the first time I closed a book and thought, I want to do that. Write a story that good. It took a few years, but I finally published my first novel, joining the ranks of contemporary fiction authors. I included everything I love in a book. It's a romance story, has suspense and surprise, and with book two, became a women's fiction series.


I'm still a voracious reader, currently residing in a rural area of the mid-west. After living in various parts of the U.S. and traveling abroad, I recently moved into the very same home where I grew up. I enjoy country living: ours is a small community, and everyone knows everybody. The culture of the city also draws me in: the shopping, dining, and the opera and ballet.

I love traveling, especially to other countries, and I speak Spanish. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Literature, and a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising. Home decorating is one of my favorite things. Of course I love to read, and I'm a published poet. I like baking pies and drinking ale. Oh, and I like playing cornhole, and I spend way more time than I should playing computer games.


My sidekick is a tiny Yorkshire terrier named Georgie Doodlebug. I call her GiGi. She's my fur baby.

In my world, there is no life without writing, traveling, family, music and my love of politics. My loves and interests are central to my writing. With this backdrop, regardless of the date or time of your visit, you will find family.

My world (my back-story) is guided by my faith and the inspiration I receive from God. Without exaggeration, family and relationships are the core of every book I write.

I love to travel and like me, my characters are always off and running and in so doing require me to research (and often visit) so many fascinating places.

I also love music—all kinds and I’m never surprised by what track finds its way to my personal playlists and a character’s ring tone, door chime, or car radio station.

People frown sometimes and don’t understand my love of politics, but I have a political administration background and thrived on and in my past government career. For me, it’s the people, the process and what democracy offers. As with life, my fictional towns and cities include mayors, governors, school board members, etc.

If you haven’t guessed, I love my world that allows me to not only live the life I love but to also share it with others.

Opening the French doors, Christina stepped out on the balcony. She leaned over the railings but soon realized it was too high to jump. Even though she was only on the first floor, the house was built on a hill, and the ground underneath was too far.A quick glance around revealed one of the dogwood trees landscaping the yard had branches reaching her balcony. Without a second thought, she climbed over the railing and onto the thickest branch she could reach. Her heartbeat stuttered at the cracking noise. Determined, she steadied herself using another branch until her fingers touched the trunk. Despite the dizzy, sick feeling in her stomach, Christina held on tightly as she started climbing down.Only a few feet from the ground, she froze at the low, vibrating growls coming from below. Not even breathing, she glanced down to see two Dobermans staring up at her.Oh, my God! Terror washed over her. Now what? She was too weak to climb back up. As a matter of fact, she was too weak to hold on any longer. She would fall to the ground any minute, and she would be torn to pieces by those two killers growling at her. Feeling her arms letting go, she closed her eyes in panic, and a scream escaped her lips.Right before she hit the ground, she heard a voice in the distance. A sharp pain shot through her ribs and left shoulder. She lay there in agony with her eyes tightly shut, too scared to even breath. However, even if she managed to stand on her feet, there was nowhere to run…His lips pressed into a thin line; the man peered down at her for a moment, which to Christina seemed like an eternity. Then he stood up. At his command, the dogs backed off, and Christina heard people running from the house. She turned and saw two men rushing toward them with guns in their hands.“Take her back upstairs!” the one standing over her ordered in a harsh voice.Christina swallowed hard, feeling her mouth dry. The guy watched as the two men grabbed her by the arms and violently pulled her to her feet. Then he turned around and walked toward the other side of the house with the dogs following him. The two bullies half-carried, half-dragged her upstairs to her room and threw her on the bed. When the door closed behind them, she rolled over, hiding her face in the pillow, letting her tears from excruciating pain and fear run free...
