Exciting Announcement

It's my pleasure to finally announce that The Seven is being remastered to celebrate its fifth anniversary! The Seven: Wooden Edition will release on the fifth anniversary of the original publication of the novel, April 18th.

There's no official cover yet, but the pre-order link is ready for anyone interested. It's still a Kindle exclusive!

This really has been a labour of love for me and it would mean everything to me if anyone with any interest would pre-order the ebook and check it out. It's still the story you know and love, just tidied up to fix the imperfections!

Five Years of The Seven

On April 18th 2024, The Seven will be celebrating its wooden anniversary. I can hardly believe it's been five years since my author dreams came true!

Plans are underway to celebrate this milestone, details of which I will reveal soon. I'm very excited about what's coming, and I'd like to thank everyone who has supported me over these past five years. An author is nothing without her readers, and I love and appreciate every one of you!

See you all soon with some exciting announcements!

Keep creating,

Erin

World Book Day

World Book Day circa 2005. I would have been in Primary 2 if I'm counting correctly. I was dressed as Dorothy Gale from the Wizard of Oz which, ironically, I only read properly last month. I wasn't much of a reader back then, but I certainly am now

I also found this clip from 2004 from when I was wearing my Aurora costume for the first time for my first World Book Day. I felt like such a Princess

A throwback

I found this graphic on my Google photos while making some storage space and it really took me back. It was this exact graphic that made me decide to make an appointment with my GP about the possibility of getting diagnosed with autism.

Irelated to almost everything detailed here (the being good at figures one being an exception) and seeing it all there gave me that final push of encouragement that there would be no harm in finding out.

As we now know, I was diagnosed with autism in 2022 at age 23. Sometimes a niggling feeling just needs validation. Nobody knows you better than yourself. Trust your instincts.

Interview with BBC Radio Ulster

It was fantastic to be invited onto BBC Radio Ulster to speak about my experience with being diagnosed with Autism in adulthood. The presenter was lovely, even if he did make a mistake by saying I called in when I was contacted by them lol. I don't mind though, it was great to be offered the opportunity to share my story.

Remember, Autism is a lifelong condition. It's not exclusive to childhood or even adulthood. Awareness shouldn't be exclusive to Autism Awareness Week, as those who have it continue to live and experience it twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. But it was an honour to be able to share my experience today on the air!

Happy Birthday The Hunger Games!

The people who knew me between 2012-15 will probably find it hard to believe that nowadays it's hard for me to convince folks just how obsessed I was with The Hunger Games trilogy. I suppose that goes to show how much I've chilled out and matured, but it's days like this where I like to look back and giggle a bit.

March 23 marks the 11th Anniversary of The Hunger Games movie. I wouldn't read the books until a couple of months later, but it's still a poignant celebration for me, if one that makes me feel aged and decrepit. Still, this trilogy still speaks volumes about modern society fifteen years after the publication of the first book and eleven years after the first movie. The story and it's message are timeless and should never be overlooked.

Now enjoy this compilation of me acting like an ejit back in the day set to the tune of Caesar Flickerman's TV show intro
