Be the Peace You Carry In Your Soul

To create peace means to have loving thoughts where none currently exist. To create peace means to shine light on places, internal and external, that are experiencing darkness. To create peace means to raise the energy to a higher form of itself, a form of transmutation that can happen instantly when it is given intention. To create peace means to be the one who declares all is well when that is not what the human senses are experiencing. 

Peace is an energy that must be created. It only exists and thrives with conscious intention. To experience peace is to connect to the parts of your soul that know it regularly. You must call on it with intention and bring it out into the world.

Peace exponentially increases through prayer and light, especially when groups are devoted to these practices. Peace takes many forms, but ultimately it is created through the willingness to rise above the chaos, trauma and darkness that precedes it. Almost every place on earth has experienced war, turmoil and darkness and these are the places that are waiting for the energy to be consciously changed. Many will lead this effort and it is up to you to contribute to their energy with your own messages of peace.

Peace is your natural rhythm and existence. It is the place you know as Home and the way you are accustomed to moving. Peace is the existence you are here to create because it is what you carry inside of you effortlessly. Peace is your birthright, and it is your place of ultimate destiny, but only if you choose to be this energy intentionally.

Often it is against human nature to respond with peace when one is attacked, embarrassed, upset, and moving through periods of darkness. But peace is always waiting for you when you are ready to detach, surrender and let go of ego lessons. 

Be the peace you carry in your soul. Be the peace that lights the way for others in hardship. Be the peace that allows your true essence to light the way. Connect to the peace in another before you share darkness with them. Connect to the peace that is your natural home and invite others to share that space.

 

Come Over To My Paris Apartments!

I have pictures for you from my life in Paris! These are a few of the places I describe in my spiritual memoir, The Art of Trapeze, and I wanted to share these images with you because I know how much visuals can make a story come alive. Come on over and hang out! 

Here it is, the first Paris apartment I lived in and absolutely loved as soon as I stepped inside. Worth the wait after seeing many less-than-desirable places. Check out those high beams in the kitchen - gorge. The studio is incredibly small, as one would imagine, and I definitely got tired of sleeping and sitting on a futon. You can't see it very well here, but the kitchen is behind the wood countertop and only four feet wide. The fridge wouldn't fit in the space, so it had to sit in the living room. C'est la vie!

I loved, loved, loved my neighborhood in the 15th! Lots of energy, stores, restaurants, and a gorgeous giant park nearby on the Seine. During the holidays it is magical with Christmas lights and the smell of delicious warm pastries. You can see my little apartment window with the flower pot hanging on the railing.

Here's my second apartment with the gorgeous garden. This is the one that was under construction and I had to nudge those French workers along to get the place completed so I could actually move in. Also, you can see the window where Kitty escaped.

How Are You Connecting To Your Truth?

I stumbled upon a quote the other day that made me exhale slowly and calmly:

"Three things cannot be long hidden: the Sun, the Moon and the Truth." (Buddha)

I love quotes, and there are a lot of them that speak to me about various phases of life, main themes, and different life lessons. That's true for all of us, right? But this one caught my soul's attention because it reinfornces that Divine theme of truth that is showing up in various parts of my life right now, and maybe yours, too.

In every area of my world, I am hearing that special little whisper inside asking, "What is your truth about this situation/person/idea? Are you connecting to that truth? Are you living from it?"

I used to kinda-sorta know the whisper was there and acknowledge it when my stomach started to turn abruptly or I couldn't find clarity about something. I was in a regular state of go-go-go and wanted to be doing what was convenient and known and planned.

But now I've regularly been allowing that truth whisper to step right up to the microphone and blare out its message as a soloist. Turning a truth whisper into a truth speakerphone is quite an incredible thing! (And I can tell you this much - it makes going to the grocery store a much longer trip because apparently Cheetos are no longer connected to my personal truth.)

With that whisper-to-speakerphone change, a new world view has taken shape around me: relationships, events, lessons and priorities all look different. Now there's so much more focus on what I love to do, and what I want to create, and new dreams to discover, and the fabulous internal chanting of "I can do that, oh yes I can." My inspiration is through the roof and barrelling ahead at top speed! If only there were 26 or 27 hours in the day!

But wait. That just puts me back on a fast-track and go-go-go. That isn't what I want. That isn't my full truth nor my full intention.

And that brings me to the other reason why this quote grabbed my soul's attention:

The Sun and the Moon represent balance and honoring the cycles of life.

The natural ebb and flow of energy in motion. The need for both action and stillness. Truth is only one out of "three things that cannot be hidden long." The Sun and the Moon must be allowed to shine equally as well. Movement and rest, action and contemplation, walk and sit.

When I combine these acts of balance with my connection to truth, the rewards are ten-fold and beyond. My intuition is more focused and accurate; my body feels stronger and more relaxed; my mind is clearer and calmer. Truth is more present and prominent. The balance is natural and easy. The Sun and the Moon keep Truth moving along perfectly.

So when I see the shining Sun in all its splendor, and then glimpse the beautiful Moon in all its glowing glory, I know between the two there is a Divine place for Truth to stand. And I want to be standing in that place of balance and living from it.

Laying Down The Law, Copyright Infringement Style

I am preparing to send legal notices to three different individuals who are violating copyright infringement laws by using my creations as their own. Crazy how people do this and think it won't get noticed, right? The internet is a big place, but also a very small room.  

In this day and age, not only does everyone have access to nearly everything, but you can start to believe that when you see something on the internet, it must be okay to just use it as your own.

Actually, no. Nope. Not at all. Ever.

You may not take someone else's original idea(s) or books or messages, change two words, and use it as your own.

You may not take another person's anything, duplicate it, use a different title, and call it your own.

You may not take someone's original information in a free program, put your name on it, put a price on it, and sell it as your own.

And on and on it goes - most of us know this stuff and don't want to create the karma around it, anyways!

Besides the fact that Real Artists do not copy other Real Artists, these infringements can create serious legal consequences (read: big bucks). Is it really worth it to take the lazy way out and not think up your own awesome stuff?

Well, there are all kinds of people in the world - hence, the reason for copyright laws - and all kinds of reasons why people make a decision, or take an action. But there are also consequences. 

I know many of you are creators and artists, too, and it's very important for you to know you have every right to protect your work. A Cease and Desist letter can be sent out, or you can take a friendlier approach and give people a "gentle reminder" about the law - and that you've noticed what's going on.

Everything I create, write, share, offer, and speak about everywhere is copyright protected to maintain the INTEGRITY of the creations. I want my peeps to have the best possible everything, and I won't allow it to be watered down, or wrongfully duplicated, or used by an imposter.

Hence, the copyright infringement notices I'm sending out.

Hence, the need to lay down the law.

Hence, the peace of mind knowing good things are ahead for all of us who stand strong in the integrity of our business.
