Keeping What's His is almost Live!

I’m going to try a tactic my daughter does when she’s in trouble….

Tell you the truth, and plead for mercy.

Um…. Please don’t be too mad at me, I in my unwavering need to make sure I put out a quality book for you, took a little longer in my final read through than I had anticipated. Don’t hate on me too bad, It’s still coming out the 29th, just not at 12:00 a.m. I’m so… so sorry. I worked really hard to make it perfect for you. As soon as it comes out I’ll make sure to put it up on Facebook with the links.

Next book of mine that comes out I’ll make sure I’ve been done with it for three months before I put it up so this won’t happen again…
Just joking…you all know I work my butt off for you to keep you in reading material.

Finally I want to tell you how Tate’s and Sutton’s book affected me. When I started writing this book I actually thought it would be like the Biker Bitches on steroids. It wasn’t it was so much more. Sutton reminded me a lot of Lily. Beautiful souls that the ugliness in the world tried to destroy. Sutton’s story affected me deeply, because I know many women today live the life she led for many years. If one thing comes through my books I would want my readers to take away with them is that despite how alone in this world you may feel, there is someone there to help, you just have to open your eyes and look, hold out your hand and take the first step. As always I have become overly sentimental over my characters. I hope Sutton and Tate’s story touches your heart as they did mine.

Now its time for a Jamaican me Happy and pray my daughters tactic worked.

Thank You/Update!

I hope everyone enjoyed Lucky’s Choice, as much as I liked writing his story.

Lucky has been in my head since I began Razer’s Ride. His story was hard for me to write: when you deal with religion you risk offending someone, which is never my intention. A major part of Lucky and Willa’s life involved religion, so I felt it wouldn’t have been an accurate portrayal if I hadn’t used religion in their story. I tried to be tactful and as tasteful, but God knows I’m no angel, and I often walk where angels fear to tread. Sorry I just had to get those puns out of my head.

With each book my stage fright increases: adding religion and giving Willa the BBW label had me sick to my stomach when we hit publish.

I shouldn’t have worried, my fans understood that Lucky’s Choice was a love story. It garnered great reviews and Lucky’s Choice made the USA Today bestseller list. Thank you all so much!! Your reviews mean so much to me; that you take the time to read and share, good or bad. This time I didn’t see any Sponge Bob references (still a little traumatized from that one).

Thanks to Natasha for emailing me with the picture from the USA Today Bestseller list. . I was in my writing cave, and wasn’t paying attention. I did manage not to sprain my ankle this time when I read the news. When I read the email from Natasha I started crying I was so freaking happy! It wasn’t the sale of so many copies but because that many people are still reading my books. I keep thinking I’m dreaming and one day I’m going to wake up. Thanks to you, I can keep dreaming!

You’ve come this far, now I’m going to share what’s next. Tate’s book, the first in the Porter brother’s trilogy, is what I am writing now, but I don’t have a title. I thought about calling it Redneck Fuckers but Sarah won’t let me. My daughter has no sense of humor. Tate’s story has come as a big surprise: I thought it would be crazy and off the wall, but it’s taken a turn I did not expect. I think you all are going to love it. Sometimes I even surprise myself.

I will be doing a cover reveal August 28, to get you ready for his release the end of September.

The really big news is after that I will be starting Jackal’s story, the third book in the Predators series. I haven’t forgotten The Last Riders either: Train’s book will follow Jackal’s book. I can’t have Killyama suffering from STS much longer. Some where in all this mix I’m hoping to do my third book in the Soul Series, I feel bad leaving Zerina tied to a bed. I have no idea about release dates, but I will try to release a new book every two months to give you an idea of my timeline.

What's Been Going On and My Next Few Books!

Happy Belated Mother’s Day!

I just wanted to wish all of the mother’s out there a great day. I hope all your children spoiled you rotten. You deserve it!

Lucky is going well, I’m hoping to finish with him soon and turn it over to the editors. I don’t have a date for release yet; as soon as I do I’ll make a post. We all know he’s had to overcome foot in mouth disease and he’s working to accomplish that with his sexy body. Lol.

I also wanted to thank you all for your well wishes and prayers. I am doing much better, and all my tests have thankfully came back clear. After I finish Lucky I will be going to my nephew’s wedding and taking a couple of weeks off to think about my next book. Trying to decide between Train’s or a Porter book. I know which one you all would vote for but Tate’s been yelling in my head for a while now. You know Tate he’s a sneaky bastard that thinks Greer needs a wife to settle his ass down, I on the other hand think Tate is the one who needs to be tamed. Anyway that’s where my thoughts are for now…you never know with me.

I also wanted to thank you all for Shade’s and Stand Off’s reviews. I can never really tell you all enough how much I appreciate each and everyone one of you for buying my books. I don’t think I will ever get over the wonder of being an author. I don’t ever take you guys for granted and thank God for you every day. Few people in life can say they are they are blessed. I have been, I was blessed with a wonderful mother and father, with a family that I could depend on. I was blessed with two beautiful children who I love more than life both of whom turned out to be really wonderful adults who I’m extremely proud of. Lastly I’m blessed with all of you, who read my books and wait for the next one to come out. I learned a long time ago that the important things in life are the intangible one’s that can’t be touched, I can’t reach through my computer and give each of you a hug so consider this a big hug from me.

P.S. I forgot to mention Penni and Jackal. I don’t mean to keep you waiting for their story; it’s just that each character speaks to me when it’s time for their story. It comes to me and I literally can’t get it out of my head until I write it. The problem with Penni and Jackal’s story is she hates him; he’s not even on her radar. Jackal on the other hand has no idea how to get the girl. He’s willing to admit he screwed up when he kidnapped her. Lol. I’m going to give Jackal a couple of months to work it out on his own if not I’ll help him out so I’m planning on them being the next Predator book if I can convince Penni. I’ll make her some brownies :)

Stand Off is Live!

I want to let all my wonderful Ladies know that I have hit publish!!! It should be Live on Amazon and B&N at about Noon as I hit publish for those sites about 3 hours ago. Now for Kobo, I have spent the last 3 hours trying to upload it and after all the bugs and glitches and emails it finally let me hit the button. So lets all pray that it will go live tonight on Kobo. I did publish on iTunes as well but its always random when it will go live. I tried my best to give it to you a day early (half a day now) so I really hope it goes live for you! I will post the links here as soon as they do. I hope everyone enjoys Max! :)

Important Updates!

I wanted to give everyone a few updates now that Shade has been released. Before I do, I just want to thank everyone, many of you successfully managed to make me cry with your reviews and emails. An author’s goal when they begin writing their story is to touch their readers, I never imagined your response to Shade and Lily’s story. If I never write another book, I know Shade found a place in your hearts. Have I told you lately that I freakin love you guys? For those who weren’t happy with Shade, I will as always strive to do better :)

I finished taking my week off and I’m working on Lucky’s story and another Predator book. The Predator book will hopefully be out in the next month or two as I’ve been working on it off and on for a while. I can’t give a date for Lucky’s book yet, it just depends on how long it takes me to write it. I’m shooting for June if all goes well, I’m running behind schedule because Shade’s book took longer than expected.

Now for some bad news. I was scheduled to attend the Cleveland Author Event next month but I am no longer going to be able to attend. I’ve had an unexpected setback health wise and my doctor doesn’t want me to travel. I have a couple of tests and I can’t get them scheduled and get the results in time to travel. Believe me I’m not happy missing the event. One of my most treasured memories I have other than the birth of my children is attending my first signing.

I do have a few other signings scheduled and will be posting them at the bottom of this blog. I hope this doesn’t inconvenience anyone, I was really looking forward to meeting more of my wonderful fans.

Shade is almost Live!

I know you are all wondering if I hit publish and FINALLY I did. We were editing Shade down to the wire so hopefully it will go live on Amazon, B&N, Kobo, & iTunes by midnight. Shade is just so huge I never expected it to be that long… you all will find out soon enough :)

I can’t wait to read everyone’s reviews but I have to admit I’m a little nervous. Shade and Lily have become apart of me and I wanted to do them justice.

Sarah hit publish for Vincent as well, cant wait for you to read about that crazy psycho!

SHADE IS COMING SOON!!

I have finally set the release date for Shade 2, which is March 16th. I know, I know, I promised to release it the end of February but I went a little cray, cray writing his book. It’s the only way to describe his book. The editor’s called it a monster and I agree. I don’t even have a final page count as of yet, it’s that big. I lost count at 812.

I’m sorry it’s taken so much longer than I thought it would, but I want it to be perfect for you, and to do that it can’t be rushed.

When I published Shade’s Fall I had no intention of writing a part 2, then the emails came in. Shade’s fans wanted to know why certain things happened, what their ceremony was like and other details of his life. It slowly dawned on me that while I had the advantage of seeing it all in my head the fans didn’t. So I gave it to you, all of it. Maybe a little too much. Lol. I had thought that I would write Shade 2 from the time period of Shade’s Fall, and this is where I went a little cray, cray. I ended up beginning with the time he met Lily in Razer’s Ride and somehow it ended up going through the beginning of their relationship to the present and even a small amount of their future hence the three epilogues. Which is why the book ended up being so freakin’ long.

I truly loved Shade’s Fall when I wrote it- I still see Lily running down that pathway towards Shade. I considered it my best book as a writer and I didn’t want to spoil the beauty of that book. I didn’t want the second book to be any less. I wanted it to be at least as good as the first. I actually think I may have exceeded my expectations.

Shade 2 shows the complexity of his role within the club, and his love for Lily. I was crying through the last part of the story as I wrote it and when I finished the book I closed my computer and cried for twenty minutes. It affected me that hard. Shade had been in my head telling me the ending from the very beginning, he had always known how his and Lily’s story would end. I hope I did it justice and all of you who have waited patiently for his book. I hope you think it was worth it. To the fans and readers who encouraged me to write more about Shade, I want to thank you for encouraging me to write it, it’s the best book I will probably ever write.

I want to sincerely thank C & D editing, without them I would have given up half way through the book. They made it possible for me to write the story while they took care of the timeline. To accomplish that feat they had to know all the details of all the books I’ve written. They did an outstanding job as editors and I didn’t have to worry once- the book was in their hands. They are two remarkable women who could have thrown their hands up and tossed it back in my hands, but instead they worked through it while encouraging me the whole time.

Now, that I’m done with Shade 2 except for the final read through, I’m going to take a week off before I begin Lucky’s book. He told me to take a month or two off, said he’s having too much fun. Sorry, Lucky, your days are numbered.
