Sara Jane Stones sale of Full Exposure

Synopsis

No touching allowed …

After serving her country, Georgia Trulane craves adventure—and sex. She’s set her sights on her brother’s best friend—now her boss, since she took a temporary job as his nephew’s live-in nanny. Only problem? Eric refuses to touch her. That doesn’t stop Georgia from seducing him. But an earth-shattering encounter leaves her fully exposed, body and soul.

Eric has a long list of reasons to steer clear of the woman he has wanted for as long as he can remember. For one, he refuses to be her next thrill ride. When he claims her, it will be for good. But the attraction is undeniable, and the more they fight it, the stronger it pulls. But will it be enough to conquer their obstacles?

Excerpt

Eric heard those words and knew he should walk away. But desire mixed with that one word. Dare. His imagination ran in ten different directions. The things he wanted to do to her, the places he wanted to see his hands move over her body, and hers over his, raced through his mind. It was like watching a highlight reel of his sexual fantasies.

But this wasn’t about him.

Eric leaned across the table, keeping his voice low even though he’d demanded a table in a quiet corner of the restaurant, just in case having others around them set off warning bells in her head. “I dare you to tell me your fantasies.”

Georgia’s eyes widened. “A dare is supposed to be an action.”

He sat back in his seat and crossed his arms in front of his chest. “Feel free to demonstrate.”

She raised an eyebrow, and he wondered if she planned to take him up on his offer. If her fantasies were anything like his, a little show-and-tell would draw unwanted attention. And it might get them arrested.

She cocked her head as if debating which path to choose. Part of him screamed demonstrate. He could afford the bail.

“Are you done with your chowder?” she asked.

He nodded.

“Get the check,” she said. “I’ll tell you while we walk along the beach. Your condo isn’t far from here, right?”

“Five minutes on foot.” Eric withdrew his wallet and dropped a pile of bills on the table, more than enough to cover the meal and tip. “Let’s go.”

Watching her slide from the booth and head for the exit, knowing where this was headed when they reached the shore, the last shreds of his self-restraint snapped. It was as if he was waiting for her towel to drop again, unwilling to look away.

Eric followed her out the door and down the old wooden steps to the beach. Silently, they walked side by side. He couldn’t touch her. Not yet. This wasn’t a sweet stroll by the shore, hand in hand. One touch would set him on fire. He had a feeling it would do the same for her.

The sun was inching lower and lower in the sky, but it was still too bright. And even when it fell below the horizon, the lights from the condo buildings and hotels lining the shore would cast a soft glow over the beach, bright enough to illuminate two people stripping down in the sand.

Twenty paces from the Clam Shack, alone on the shore except for a man tossing a tennis ball for his dog, Eric leaned over, careful not to touch his lips to her ear. “Start talking, Georgia.”

“My fantasies?”

He nodded. “Tell me. I dare you.”

She shoved her hands in the front pockets of her jeans, and her eyes focused on the sand in front of her, as if she were doing her best not to step on shells or debris. In the dimming light, he couldn’t read her expression.

“You’re my fantasy,” she said.

Eric stopped short, her words hitting him in the gut. He’d been waiting for her to describe something kinky and wild. “Georgia—”

My Review: The Obsidian Collection (Anthology)

2

~~ I received a free e-copy of this Anthology from one of the authors in exchange for an honest review~~

FOUR OUT OF FIVE STARS FOR THE OBSIDIAN COLLECTION!

Obsidian Escape by Rebel Adams

Adams’ story about the girl who needs saving from her abusive and cheating husband who does not value anything that she truly is well set out. The characters are believable and at the end we get attached to both main characters.

I enjoyed this story and I’d recommend it.

Obsidian Liquor by Scarlett Dawn

Scarlett Dawn has created yet another riveting story. It’s not your typical romance either. The entire story is fun yet dangerous. It was slow in parts but altogether it was a good story.

Beth, a news reporter, is strewn into a world of fighting and violence even though it’s everything she despises. She finds solace in the most unlikely place and she ends up fitting in better than she feared. At the end of the story, she comes undone when she finally gets to the meat of the matter she has been pursuing, only to destroy it herself.

I think she has grown as an individual and is at the end of the story, more inclined to make more ethical choices. If that has been because of her new-found company or because of the fact that matters of the heart should be kept private, in the end Beth does the right thing.

I’d definitely recommend this story to anyone looking for a short romance to read.

Obsidian Faith by Bev Elle

From the very beginning of this story, the reader is encapsulated into the world Bev Elle has created. Readers become emotionally invested into the orphans Trevor and Shanice. In this short story we watch these two characters grow up into impeccable adults. The story is riveting and dramatic from start to finish and a huge page turner.

The author has really done an amazing job in portraying Trevor and Shanice’s stories from childhood well into adulthood, flawlessly and in a way which doesn’t make readers feel as though they’ve missed anything.

I’d definitely recommend this story.

Obsidian Heart by Nicole Flockton

This story was interesting but at times I thought the romance to be a little too much and the way Erika continuously walked out on Brandt was amusing to me. Also the fact that the story was supposedly set in Trinidad, but didn’t reflect not even an ounce of Trinidadian culture was disappointing since I was looking forward to that and was constantly looking out for it.

However the writing style was good and I enjoyed reading it nevertheless. We all need a Brandt Whittaker in our lives.

Obsidian Sky by Lara Henley

Brandon and Arebella’s story is really touching. It was nice to see them finally meet after such a long time of dreaming of each other.

However I felt that the story was unbelievable at times and Brandon’s actions towards Arebella when they first met again, we’re out of character for him.

I nevertheless enjoyed the story and I love how it ended.

Obsidian Ice by Missy Johnson

This story was about a gay couple. The storyline was interesting enough but in a way predictable. I didn’t feel any connection to any of the characters.

However the writing itself was good and perhaps this kind of story is just not my cup of tea.

Obsidian Jewel by Angel Lawson

I really enjoyed reading about Maya and Kent. They should have a whole book to themselves. I loved the thrill of what they do and the author really created these characters multi-dimensional and so I think readers are more ready to relate to the characters.

Everyone has that one person we let get away even though all we wanted to do was beg them to stay, and to see how it ends for Maya and Kent is inspiring.

I love how Maya makes Kent pay for all that he has done to her in the past. She is truly a strong woman and her character empowers me.

Kent is the altruistic bad boy who will only be tamed for Maya and I absolutely love that aspect of any guy. The author builds his character really well and readers get an insight to Kent’s mind.

The author did a really good job with this story.

I’d definitely recommend this story.

Obsidian Desire by T. H. Snyder

Really good story.

Obsidian Beauty by Emily Walker

Interesting read.

My Review: A Little Combustible Chemistry by Violet Duke

This was the perfect prequel to Love, Chocolate and Beer!

It was fun and it really got me hooked.

I especially love how Connor and Brian from The Nice Girl to Love Series just snuck their way into the prequel so we know that they’re well and thriving in their various relationships.

The prequel definitely sets the stage for Dani and Luke’s epic love story. From the first moments they laid eyes on each other, there was instant combustible chemistry.

Cuddos to Author, Violet Duke for writing an amazing prequel to kick off her first novel in the Cactus Creek Series, Love, Chocolate and Beer! I definitely look forward to reading the other books in this series!

I give this prequel five out of five stars!

I’d definitely recommend this prequel and the subsequent novel to everyone looking for a light hearted fun romantic story!

My Review: Love, Chocolate and Beer by Violet Duke

Romantic, suspense-filled and moving!

This isn’t your typical romance novel.

Love, Chocolate and Beer is a fascinating love story about the power of true love. While Violet Duke tells the story of this couple, deeper and more meaningful ideas are delved into. I think we can all identify with feeling lost, alone and dejected about love and Violet Duke presents the phenomenon in such a way as to make you want it; to make you believe in finding that special someone. Themes like death, abandonment, regret, guilt, and even a little homosexuality, runs below the surface of this apparent love story.

Dani Dobson is a strong female character who, because of twisted fate, has given up on ever finding true love. Luke Bradford is the typical romantic. Both opposites meet in a clashing battle in which sparks fly high.

Violet Duke’s novel, set in Cactus Creek, is a burst of creativity in the modern business world. It is nothing short of exciting as we go on the journey with Dani and Luke through their throw-downs pitted against each other’s businesses and we see their rivalry grow into the greatest affection there could ever be.

Interestingly, Violet Duke created Dani with a characteristically more masculine occupation, that of brewmaster and brewpub owner, whilst Luke is a chocolatier which is characteristically more feminine. This results in an incredible contrasting of characters which only makes it that much better when they seem to catapult towards each other.

Their journey is littered with trials and tribulations and their love is tried and tested on numerous occasions. They have the support of loving family and friends who we come to adore as the novel goes on. The reader is able to feel for Dani as she goes through each hurdle, and we experience Dani’s reasoning behind everything she does, even while Luke has no idea what is happening in her mind.

Dani and Luke’s love is playful, fun and passionate. Through all the trials, their love only grows.

Violet Duke really did write this novel well. It was difficult to put down once I started; it was a real page turner. The plot moved on spectacularly and Violet Duke made us privy to certain information only when it was necessary and would advance the plot dramatically which made it so much more thrilling.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a fun, romantic read!

I enjoyed this novel so much, that I gave Love, Chocolate and Beer FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS!

* I received an ARC of this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review, and honest is what it is.

My Review: Released from the Darkness by Gabrielle Arrowsmith

Riveting. Dangerous. Emotional.

The second book in the series, Released from the Darkness, shows the author’s talent and skill in penning a great story.

The novel continues the series in a dark underground society which makes you almost forget the perils of the society above. In this new dynamic, Sydney Harter is thrown into a situation which she could have never believed existed. She is reduced to a mere inmate and had to do things methodically with no hope of ever seeing the sun or her family again. Her crime? Knowing too much.

Sydney makes allies with some inmates and they try to plan an escape from this horrid little hidden world which was forced upon them.

This novel is a perfect sequel to the first and Sydney’s relationship with her father and her sister is tried and tested multiple times.

The novel ends on another precipice and leaves the reader craving the third book in the series to know just what happens.

Sydney’s words at the end of the book left me spellbound and hungry to see if everything works out, or if tragedy would strike yet again.

I took off one star from my rating of this book due to the fact that I thought that the writing was a little bit simplistic in parts. However I must say that the plot made up for this as I was always eager to see what happened next – a real page turner.

I would definitely recommend this novel. It was a definite good read and I am that much better for having read it.

I gave Released from the Darkness four out of five stars.

* I received an ARC copy of this novel in return for reading and writing an honest review of the book and this is how I honestly feel. *
