Twelve Doors to Ecstasy by John Tucker

Although I've read other books by John Tucker, I was not prepared for the wild ride of Twelve Doors to Ecstasy. Following Tristina's journey from sexual neophyte to mistress of her domain was eye-opening and educational. Although the story is erotica at its finest, the sex is the covering for a complicated tale of manipulation and deceit. This was one hell of a story and I really hope there's another.

The Standard by John R. Dizon

I don't think I've enjoyed an action thriller this much since I finished the last James Bond written by Ian Fleming. Pairing up Captain Willaim Shanahan of Britain's M16 and Jack Gawain, an Irish terrorist serving a life sentence, to take down Operation Blackout is a sure recipe for an action-packed thriller. As the team take on the forces trying to control the world economy, they come to have revelations of defects with their own moral compasses. This is a book for everyone - a truly entertaining page-turner.

SPLITS IN THE SKIN BY JOHN TUCKER

In "Splits in the Skin" John Tucker told a troubling tale of a bounty hunter, Ellis Hardigree, trying to bring in a bail jumper named Moses Bailey who turns out to be the leader of a North Georgia religious cult. Moses heads up the incestuous inbred cult that is known to kill strangers no matter what their business. With only an aging local sheriff and a girl called Smitty, Ellise is woefully outnumbered against Moses and the Bailey clan until he enlists the help of the neighboring Tunnel Hill clan. The violence in this story is both real and imagined. It is brilliantly written by a man who knows how to grab your attention and not let got.

Young Plato and the Cave by F.A. Chekki

A delightful book that can be enjoyed by adults and children alike. This well-written tale is not just the story of the great philosopher, but an entertaining trip through ancient Greece complete with verse and pictures.

MOONSTONE DREAMS BY: S. MIOTTO

On the outside Victoria Carlisle has it all: a successful marriage, great career, money, three children and a mansion. But her home is filled with the horror of an abusive husband. Victoria concentrates on her work spending as much time as possible away from her husband. When she finds herself drawn to a kind, younger man, Victoria begins to fantasize about their perfect love and question if she has the strength to leave her husband. This story is unusual and compelling. It's not the sort of book you will walk away from.

Suppression by:P.S. Winn

Dan and Mary Warren are living the American dream. Dan invents a garbage burning incinerator with the ability to produce vapors. The invention is a breakthrough as an alternative energy source. But the dream ends when a greedy politician finds out and gets the EPA to block the project. Their dream turns into a nightmare and their lives are destroyed. This well-written book is riveting and disturbing, especially after learning it was based on a true story.

ROMANCING THE FOX BY: JOHN TUCKER

This was one of the most entertaining books I've read in a while. Reading it was like watching a movie. John McKenzie, an inexperienced producer, auditions several porn stars for a role he's casting. Like the story of Cinderella and the glass slipper, none seem to be the right fit for the role until he runs into Jenna Fox. Jenna is sweet, wholesome and almost virginal with only 40 skin flicks behind her. When John not only chooses Jenna but falls in love with her, all hell breaks loose. There are several women scorned and they all want a piece of him. The characters are funny, viscous, raunchy and heart-breaking, usually all at the same time. Romancing the Fox is not a story you will forget any time soon.

Generations by John Reinhard Dizon

Generations by John Reinhard Dizon is one of those books that is destined to become a classic. Following the Sanders family from the medieval Irish wars to Texas and then New York, was an unforgettable experience. The reader becomes part of the family sharing the joys and sorrows of the Sanders over a thousand years. This is a book that anyone who has even a spot of Irish blood will treasure and hold in his or her heart. John Reinhard Dizon brought Ireland and its history alive in this remarkable story. This book is a must read.

The Hunted by John de Silva

When a young couple take off for a romantic getaway in an isolated cabin in the woods, they become the victims of two psychopaths. Then the nightmare begins. The couple, Meredith and Danny, have a new objective - staying alive through the night. And just when they thought they were safe - bang! This story is short and the type that can be read in one sitting, but it may not be the one you want to read at bedtime.
