Dont Let Distractions Keep You from Your Best

One of the most important tests we all face as we try to achieve what God has called us to do is cultural distractions. Can you relate to losing your focus because of any of these distractions?

Be Wise: Look Ahead and Face Reality

Many people in life start out well, but they end up progressing poorly because they dont plan for the pitfalls. But the Bible says the wise man looks ahead and faces reality.

What Will You Do Today That Requires Faith?

Failure is never final. Youre never a failure until you quit, and its always too soon to quit! You dont determine a persons greatness by his talent, his wealth, or his education. You determine a persons greatness by what it takes to discourage him.

Its Time to Redefine Failure

Satans favorite tool to diminish your faith is the fear of failure. But you cannot serve God and be constantly worried about what other people think. You have to move forward. Proverbs 29:25 says, Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe (NIV).

Dream Big

Faith is choosing and believing Gods dream for your life. Nothing starts happening in your life until you start dreaming. God gave you the ability to dream, to create, to imagine. Dreaming is an act of faith. Everything you see on this planet started as a dream.

Trust God for a Second (or Third or Fourth) Chance

If youre like most of us, you could use a second chance to get healthy in 2016. A December 2012 Journal of Clinical Psychology report says the number one New Years resolution for the year was to lose weight. By the end of the year, only 8 percent of respondents had successfully fulfilled their resolutions whether they were losing weight, getting organized, cutting debt, or something else.

To Get Gods Power, Admit You Need His Help

A right relationship with Jesus is foundational to every area of your life. Your physical health is no exception.

Through a secure relationship with Jesus, you can grow and change in ways its impossible to do without one. In truth, we cant accomplish anything having to do with our health without God: I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13 NLT, second edition).

Embracing Gods Best for Your Body

Taking care of your body is a spiritual discipline, like prayer, worship, or Bible study. God wants you to succeed at this in 2016.

The apostle Paul says, with God helping you, Take your everyday, ordinary life your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life and place it before God as an offering (Romans 12:1 MSG).

Settle Your Destiny So You Can Help Others Do the Same

One of the things Jesus came to Earth to do is take away your fear of death. How? By dying on the cross and being resurrected to show that there is life after death.

Small, Thoughtful Gestures Make a Big Difference

When youre ministering to a friend who is dying, you should give your physical presence to your friend but also give practical assistance. What does that mean? It means you do whatever needs to be done to help your friend, and you also help in small but practical ways.
