“You are such a liar.” I scoffed and shook my head. “I don’t know why you are here, but you can go.”

Amnesia & the Bright Side!
The first time I heard it, I could play a story out in my mind. I could visualize a bad breakup and heartache. We’ve all had that relationship that wouldn’t hurt so much if we had amnesia. Today when I heard it, it was a totally different scenario in my mind! My mind went straight to Gus in Bright Side by Kim Holden.

Have you ever read a book that left such an impact it changed your life? What about just your thought process? I’d seen the hype about Bright Side by Kim Holden, but knew my heart might not be able to handle it… I finally gave in and my will never be the same! What’s harder to believe is I was prepared. I had wrapped my in a secure bandage to keep the emotions out. It didn’t happen! Now my classroom’s motto is “Do Epic” and we focus on being brave no matter the storm! This book changed my life, and now I totally see what all the talk is about! You might need to make sure you have more than one box of tissues ???

I need a #SmokeBreak!
I don’t know about y’all, but somedays I feel that I can’t catch up, nothing goes as planned, and life is just flat out insane. There are days I even joke about needing a cigarette, and I don’t even smoke! LOL! Please tell me you can relate?
Last week I heard Smoke Break by Carrie Underwood, and it made me smile. (I’m so excited about her upcoming album!!!!) It’s life, and totally makes perfect sense. It made me reflect on my life right now. It’s crazy busy with balancing family life, writing, blogging, and my full time job. Sometimes when life gets out of control and we want to take a few moments for ourself we should pause and take a “smoke break.”
