Audiobook Review – KUBRICK’S GAME by Derek Taylor Kent

Kubrick’s Game by Derek Taylor Kent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Two thoughts stood out as I finished this exceptional new story from Derek Taylor Kent and a Evolved Publishing:

1) That has to be the smartest mystery story I’ve ever experienced.
2) Am I really considering that Kubrick’s Game was BETTER than Ready Player One by Ernest Cline?

It’s been two days since I finished, and I’ve yet to discredit either of those lofty claims. First off, the story centers on some geeky film students, one who...

The Girl with all the Gifts – In a theater near you January 26!

The Girl with All the Gifts by M.R. Carey is a legitimate movie, and is finally here. I can’t wait. I loved going into this novel with no idea what it was going to be about and then was blown away straight through the end. This book is one of the best examples of “full circle” for character arcs, and really is beautiful. Cheers to MR Carey, who was also gracious enough to come in my podcast back when the book released and chat with a fan.

I interviewed M.R. Carey on the Adventures in SciFi Pu...

Audiobook Review: THE SANTA ANNA GOLD by Michael Bunker (Narr. Alex Silver)

The Santa Anna Gold by Michael Bunker (Audible | Amazon)
Narrated by Alex Silver
Running time: 37 minutes
Release Date:01-12-17
Publisher: Auspicious Apparatus Press

Michael is certainly the one to write this story, and I’m glad he did. In real life, the author is an off the grid farmer who has one of the best minds out there for science fiction with a family friendly tone. His novel, Pennsylvania is a chief example of his gift at showing new technological possibilities with a heart for the...
