10 Things You Didn't Know About The Love, Life, & Happiness Series

Processed with Moldiv

Hi everyone! One of the things I love to do is give background on my stories. I want readers to know what was going through my mind while writing a particular story as well as the ideas that were created. That's why I share particular things that you all would not had known when a story is released. And that is how my "10 Things You Didn't Know About" feature was created. :-)

I had already done one for the In Love With My Best Friend series, but I never created one from the Love, Life, & Happiness series nor for Something Just Ain't Right.  For the ILWMBF series, you can find on my blog through the link below:

http://sheenabinkley.com/2013/08/23/1...

With the Love, Life, & Happiness series, there were so many things that I loved about each book. It not only provided romance, but also friendship and a sense of family. It was a series that gave a breath of fresh air to the books that we are currently reading nowadays. To me, it wasn't your typical New Adult series, which I truly loved (and still love), and I think you all did too. :-)

Now, starting from #10 to #1, here are the reasons you may not know about the books or what led me to write the series:

10. Shaw University is a fictional college: Just like Baker is a fictional town. When I first wrote this series almost 11 years ago, I was going to use the college I attended, University of Houston, as the backdrop for the "crew," but I decided to make everything fictional and thought up Shaw. I still consider UH the inspiration, though.

9. The Tunnel was an actual club in Houston: I remember going to The Tunnel during my college years, which was sort of a huge club back in the day. I used that as another inspiration for the crew to hang out at.

8. The "Crew" are actually my friends: Well, sort of. When I wrote the original story, I actually used my friends as inspiration to some of the characters. Although the stories were strictly fictional, the personalities of some of the characters were depicted from my actual friends (and even some family members). *shrugs*

7. Some of the scenes from Love Always were taken from real life events: I revealed during a book discussion that some of the scenes in Love Always were taken from real life events. I found out I was pregnant during my last year of college and I did have those awkward moments going into class (especially trying to fit into one of those desks). Although I did not go into labor in class (I was actually about to start my last semester when I had my son), the labor and delivery scenes were REAL! And yes, my husband was too nervous to cut the umbilical cord, but that was to be expected.

6. Issac' s character was based off of an ex: This goes back to the original story. If you read the original, you all know that Riana was with Issac before she met Shawn. Back in 2004, I couldn't find anyone that could fit the description of Isaac, especially being someone that was a jerk, so I thought of my ex. I continued to use him in the current series as well. By the way, both scenarios from the original and current versions were strictly fiction.

5. My mom was the inspiration for Melanie: When I wrote the scenes between Riana and Melanie, I thought about the talks I had with my mom and the bond that she and I had when I was growing up. Those scenes were a little hard to write because during the time I wrote Love Unbroken in 2011, my mom passed away from breast cancer. There were times when I didn't even think I was going to continue, but I did, and I'm proud of the finished outcome.

4. The Way We Were was supposed to been the final book in the series: There were only going to be four books in the LLH series, but when I done a poll on my blog about which book readers wanted to read next,  an overwhelming response wanted Love Unbroken part 2.I decided to change the name to Love Always and it showed not only Riana and Shawn maturing into young adults, but it changed everyone in the entire series.

3. The poems written in Love Unbroken were actually real: One of the things readers loved about Love Unbroken were the poems; those poems were actual poems that my husband wrote to me when we first started dating. At first, I wasn't going to share them, but since the book was sort of inspired by my relationship with my husband, I decided to (with his permission, of course).

2. The Walkers: Since my husband is the inspiration for Shawn, that probably had some of you wondering who is the inspiration for Marcus. Now, my husband does have a brother, who is four years older than him, but he is not Marcus. In fact, there's a little of my husband in Marcus as well (of course not the womanizer part). Besides Shawn and Issac, the other male characters  are not modeled by anyone I know; they are just characters that I created.

1. Love Unbroken is actually a true story- Sort of : The first story in the series provided a lot of mixed reviews, mainly because some readers felt the story was not realistic. To a certain extent, the story was made up: From the prom scene to the "winter wonderland," those scenes were based off of my imagination; but the Open Mics at The Tunnel, those were actually real. During several interviews, I mentioned that this story was based off of how my husband and I met almost 14 years ago. I was in college and met him through a mutual friend  (sounds familiar). He is a poet and I have watched him perform during Open Mic nights throughout the city, which were always fun. He can also sing, and he has sung for me during several occasions, which made me include those scenes in the story as well. He never sung for me outside the Galleria, though, lol. There are other scenes in the story that are real, but I'll let you all figure out those for yourself. :-)

So, since my husband is Shawn, does that make me Riana? Maybe so. :-) And no, I can't sing. I was in my elementary school choir, but that doesn't count, lol.

Bonus Tidbit: Redemption was a random story: I was going to end the series once I was finished with Love Always, but after having a great conversation with a reader, the concept of Nathan having his own story was brought up. She picked up throughout the series how Nathan's personality was and felt there was something more with his story and the things he has done to Riana. She felt that Nathan should have his own story so he could tell his side to everything that has occurred with Ri, Shawn, and with his parents; and that was how Redemption was born.

So, there you have it, the 10 things you never knew about the LLH series. I really hope you all enjoyed this series as much as I enjoyed writing it. Although the series is over, get ready for the spin-off with Kevin, Carla, and Jennifer, because their story will be a juicy read. Not only that, but you get to revisit all of the couples in the LLH series! I can't let go of these characters, so I'm glad that I'm able to continue writing about them and for you all to continue to read about them. :-)

Love, Life, & Happiness Spin- Off: No Other Love

FotorCreatedLLH

Hi everyone!! I recently received word from my publisher that No Other Love will be released soon! It’s currently with an editor and the cover will be revealed soon. I am so excited for this series and I cannot wait for you all to read it.

Since this is the spin-off and it’s going through my publisher, I know a lot of you are probably wondering will things change with the characters and the storyline. Yes, the plot will be a little different from the original series, but let me assure you that the characters will still be the same. Not only will you get to revisit the original characters, but you get to potentially read other spin-offs in the making (of course with Elise and Jared and with Carla’s cousin, Mika).

There will be some readers who probably never read the LLH series (which I hoped you did!). Don’t worry, you don’t have to read the series to understand what’s going on. But if you want to get to know the characters really well, then you can read the series, especially Love Always, since that is the book that Kevin and Carla were introduced (even though him, Jennifer, Thomas, and Robert were introduced in Trust Me).

Another thing that I need to address is the time line. The year will be 2017. In Love Always, I upped the years to three, in which the series ended around that particular year. Therefore, NOL will start after Love Always and Redemption. I didn’t want anyone to be confused with the flashbacks when I mentioned the time frame is within 10 years when we’re in 2015.

Now that I cleared that up, I’m awaiting on news for part 1. Once I do have news on the release or the cover, I will be sure to let you all know. To get ready for part 1, catch up on the LLH series, which of course is available now on Amazon.

And by the way, I finished part 2 this past Friday, which I have to admit, has a SHOCKING cliffhanger, so I cannot wait for you all to read it (and no one will get shot or die in this series, like in Something Just Ain't Right)

Until then, happy reading!

Excerpt: Something Just Ain't Right 3

SJAR3

Hi everyone! Since SJAR3 will be released on Saturday, I'm sharing a excerpt from the story!

The final book of the series will answer many of the questions that you all are probably wondering about who is the real mastermind behind destroying Hayley and Morgan as well as other twists and turns involving Morgan's dad, the affair he had with Kyle's mother, and the issues with Morgan's mom. But of course, even after Hayley and Morgan endure a lot in their relationship, they will have the HEA that they rightfully deserve, with an extra surprise.

So, here is part of chapter 1 from SJAR3. It's from Morgan's POV.:-)

From the first moment I laid eyes on Hayley Stevens, I knew she was going to be someone special. She instantly drew me in from her captivating brown eyes to her beautiful curls. I knew she was going to be the one. I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her, have lots of kids, and grow old with her. Even though I couldn’t be with her at first, I knew eventually we would; that’s why I changed my ways for her.

Now, as I stared at her laying on the hospital bed, I had to wonder if she would wake up. I should be optimistic, but it has been almost two weeks since she has been in a coma. She had moved her hand a few times, but her doctor mentioned that was common for coma patients.

She looked as if she was sleeping as the monitor beside her was going at a steady pace. That meant things were okay. If everything was normal, then Hales would had woke up.  I slightly touched her shoulder, hoping she would feel my touch. After what happened that day of the shooting, I completely shut myself down from everything and everyone. I felt as if I had failed her by not being able to protect her. This was my damn fault that she’s laying in a hospital bed. If she hadn't gotten involved with me, then she would have been sitting in her dorm room at Thompson instead of fighting for her life.

The door opened, causing me to turn around. Lamar stood behind me and sighed.

“I went by the guest house and got you some clothes. I knew you might need them.”

I sighed and turned back to stare at Hayley. “Thanks.”

“If you want, I can stay with Hales while you clean up and get some rest.”

“I’m fine.”

“Mo, you’ve been here nonstop for the past two weeks now. I’m pretty sure you’re tired.”

“I said I’m fine.” I replied in a hostile tone.

“I understand how you feel; that’s my sister, but I know she wouldn’t want me or you not taking care of ourselves. You know how Hales is.”

I smiled as I touched her shoulder again. “I know. She probably would tell me to go take a damn shower.”

Lamar laughed. “Yeah, which she wouldn’t be too wrong about.”

I looked at him and rolled my eyes. “Whatever, man.”

“Your mom is here, Morgan. She’s staying with my parents at the Hilton. She wanted to see you, but didn’t think coming to the hospital was a good idea.”

“Why? Travis, Will, and Caroline are all in jail where they belong; so there aren’t any more threats against us.”

“I know, but your mom feel there might be more.”

I shook my head and sighed. “I wish Craig would leave us alone. The man is dead and he’s still making our damn lives miserable.”

“Mo, go. If anything happens, I’ll call you.”

I got up and bend down to kiss Hayley on the forehead. Lamar’s right; Hayley wouldn’t want me hovering over her; instead, she would want me to have my normal routine. And I did need to take a shower.

“Promise me you will.”

“I promise.”

I sighed and grabbed my coat and duffle bag. Lamar handed me his car keys and I went to the door. I know I will come back as soon as I get myself together. But I needed to visit my mom. Hopefully there weren’t any more bystanders lurking around, because once I know Hales will be okay, I want to go back to my normal life.

***

Once I arrived to the house, instead of going to the guest house, I went to the main one to shower. I knew Uncle Rick would be at work, so I would be alone. As soon as I opened the door, I quickly went to defense mode when I saw someone coming from the hallway. I was about to knock the person out when I realized it was my mom.

“Morgan!”

“Mom!”

I went to her and gave her a hug. She wrapped her arms around me and sighed.

“I’m so sorry for everything.”

I closed my eyes, knowing it wasn’t my mom’s fault for what happened. She was just with the wrong man.

“It’s not your fault, Mom.”

She pulled away from me and sighed. “I know Hayley hasn’t woke up yet.”

“No, but you know Hales, she’s a fighter. She’s not going to give up just yet.”

“I know, son. Her parents are heading back to the hospital so they dropped me off here. I still had a key, luckily, it still works.”

“Uncle Rick never changed the locks. He probably will now since what happened through.”

“I’m sure.”

“I know I shouldn’t ask this right now, but you mentioned during our last conversation that they’re more people that could be gunning for me. You even mentioned that to Lamar. Are there more people out there that know Craig is dead?”

“Morgan…”

“I need to know, Mom! For the past two months, I have been looking behind my back, wondering if anything was going to happen, which it did! Now, the woman that I love is fighting for her life because of my fucked up life! I can’t keep continuing to live like this. If there are more family members, friends, bystanders, whatever, I need to know.”

“For what!? So you could kill them too?”

“If I have to, especially if they try to get to me first.”

“Morgan…”

“Just tell me! It’s not that hard to tell me if there are others!”

“There could be; Craig still does have family members from all over, so there could be a possibility that someone could retaliate; especially since Travis and Caroline are heading to prison.”

“Why you didn’t tell me that Caroline was Craig’s sister?”

“I could only tell you in bits and pieces.”

“Yeah, which I had to guess. You knew I was staying in the same house as someone who was trying to kill me! You could had told me so I knew what I was dealing with.”

“I know, but I couldn’t give out too much information about what was happening.”

I laughed. “And Kyle, where does he fit in all of this? You said he had something to do with this.”

“Kyle doesn’t, but his mom might.”

“What?”

“Kyle’s mom had an issue with me because of your father. She may have been involved with Travis at one point, but I’m not sure if it was romantically or to destroy me.”

I shook my head. “I’m assuming Kyle doesn’t know.”

“That I’m aware of.”

“This is all bullshit! It would had been nice if you would had sat down and told me all of this!”

“I gave you my reasons.”

“Technically, you didn’t, but I don’t have time to go back and forth with you. I have to shower and go back to the hospital.”

My mom stared at me as I went upstairs. I closed the door to the guest room, wondering how much more is my mom not telling me. I know I shouldn’t think like that, but she withheld a lot of information from me regarding Caroline. This only made me think if I should trust my mom again.

***

After taking a long shower, I was getting dressed, wondering how Hayley was doing. I'm still not going back on my word about destroying anyone else who will come in my path. Whether Hayley survives, I had to do something I knew I would regret later, but I needed to do it for her sake.

There was one thing that I was concerned about and that was if anyone exposed me for killing Craig. I wondered would my past catch up with me and I’ll be going to prison like my so-called family. I tried not to think about it as put on my shoes. My phone started to ring, which made me become fully alert. I went to it and saw that it was Lamar. For some reason, I knew this was the phone call I was waiting on.

“Hey. Is Hayley okay?”

Coming Soon- Love, Life, & Happiness Spin-Off: Kevin's Story

FotorCreatedLLH

Hi everyone! I hope all the mothers had a great Mother's Day yesterday!

Since this week is my anniversary week, I decided to do something great and post a bit of news each day up until Thursday, when I have my HUGE anniversary celebration!! For today, I will be sharing an excerpt to my upcoming new series, which is the spin-off from Love, Life, & Happiness. This will be Kevin's story and it will be a three-part series.

Kevin's story will be VERY different from the LLH series because instead of focusing on a couple and their journey to love, Kevin's story will focus on the issues he's having with his wife, Jennifer, and his college best friend, Carla. For those of you who read Love Always, I gave a little preview of their story, so you have an idea of how things will go between the three in the series.

Without further ado, here is the prologue and the first chapter to book one of Kevin's story. The excerpt is unedited, since my publisher has not started on the edits. So, I hope you enjoy and tell me what you think! :-)

Prologue
Kevin

I walked into my house still upset over everything that has happened. How could I had been so damn stupid? I knew something was there, but I couldn’t face it. Or maybe I didn’t want to. After years of neglecting the truth, I done everything I could to live by the book. I was married, have a wonderful son, and have a high paying job that could set me off for life. Hell, I’m 29 and successful. I’m living the fucking dream. Well, I was, until Carla came back into my life.

Ever since I saw her at my sister’s house that night, I felt something was missing in my life. We had been through so much together, and now, I’m curious to find out if what we had was still there. I still couldn’t get that image of her out of my mind. The way she said my name in that sexy tone, how her hips swayed when she walked passed me. Damn, I know I shouldn’t be thinking about her, but it wasn’t hard to considering Jennifer and I haven’t done shit in weeks. That’s probably another reason why I’m pissed. Even if I wanted to go there with her, I couldn’t, especially after what she’d done. Now, I don’t think I could ever forgive her for keeping that from me. If she would had told me, I would had understood; but since she decided not to, I don’t want to be around her.

I went further into the living room and saw it was dimly lit. Soft jazz was playing on the Bose system and there were candles everywhere. I looked at the coffee table and saw two wine glasses sitting there. One of them had a lip gloss stain, which looked like Jennifer’s favorite shade. I looked around the room, wondering where she could be. I walked into the kitchen and saw that there were some type of meal that was prepared. It looks like gumbo, which was my favorite. With the atmosphere that was going on in the house, it had to mean one thing. Even though I should be pissed at her for everything she has done, a tiny part of me was kind of surprised she was doing all of this. But there has to be a reason: Either she was doing it because she wanted to or because she felt guilty about something.

I pulled out my phone and went to my calendar, just to make sure if it wasn’t an important event coming up.

“Fuck.” I whispered.

Now, I knew why Jennifer planned all of this. Our anniversary of the day we first met in college was approaching. Throughout the years, no matter how busy we were, we tried to celebrate it, since to Jennifer, it was sentimental. But between my job and the issues I was having with both her and Carla, I guess I forgot.

I shook my head, trying to figure out a way for me to save this night. Even though I probably shouldn’t do anything for her. Hell, after what she has put me through these past few weeks, I deserved being catered to; but being the man that I am, I would still show some type of appreciation for her. She is still my wife and the mother of my son; that, I can’t erase. Maybe, if a store is still open, I could get some roses for her.

I was about to head to the door when I heard moaning coming from the bedroom. At first, I was going to ignore it and go to the front door, but when I heard it again, I figured I needed to find out what was going on.

I went to the bedroom door, slowing opening it. What I saw completely surprised the hell out of me.

There I saw my wife in our bed with her damn co-worker. The two were too busy into each other to even realize I was even in the room.

I completely froze, not knowing what to do or say. I had two options: Turn around and walk out of the house, or I could kick this dude’s ass.

Before I could react, Jennifer finally turned around and saw me standing by the door. She jumped off of him with a scared look.

“Kevin!”

Now, I wondered how the hell she was going to explain this….

Kevin

Four Weeks Earlier…

“Congratulations, you two!” My sister, Elise, exclaimed as she hugged my other sister, Cheryl. Her and her husband, Marcus, were celebrating their one-year anniversary at his and his brother’s club, The Phoenix II, which to all of us was a big deal. Honestly, I didn’t think the two would have a party for their anniversary, but with Marcus, he’ll have a party for just about anything.

I still couldn’t believe my youngest sister was married and had a son. I still remembered her as the little girl who followed me around and played with Barbies. Now, she was a young woman who was in her second year of med school. After everything she had went through in her life, I can say I’m extremely proud of her.

“Thanks, Elise! Maybe it’ll be yours and Jared’s turn soon.”

“Please, we have to get married first.” She said and smiled as her boyfriend, Jared Morris held her. I rolled my eyes at the sight of those two. I still couldn’t believe my best friend went after my sister. Now, I’m all for being happy, but the idea of those two together kind of irritated me. Although Elise is three years older than me, I still try to be protected over her. I just hope Jared treats her right. I already mentioned if he doesn’t, friend or not, I will hunt him down and beat his ass.

“You know that will happen one day, right?” Jared said and he kissed Elise.

“We’ll see.” I mumbled. Jared glanced at me and I smiled.

“I’m sure we’ll have a lot more anniversaries to celebrate, right baby.” Marcus said and kissed Cheryl. She blushed as he kissed her again. Marcus Walker was the true definition of a player. He practically slept with every woman that set foot onto our Alma Mater, Shaw University; but when he met Cheryl, he completely changed from being a womanizer to a one-woman man. I’m proud of him and I can say not only is he my brother-in-law, but also a really good friend.

“Congrats, man.” Marcus’ brother, Shawn, said as he gave him a brotherly hug. His wife, Riana, also hug Marcus and Cheryl.

“This is great, all of us together. Since we’ve all been so busy, it’s hard to have everyone in the same room again.” Riana said.

“Where’s Elis? I wanted to see him.” Elise asked regarding their one-year-old son.

“With my parents. We needed a night out. With Shawn being at the news station and me busy writing, we don’t have time to do anything.” Riana said. While Shawn is a reporter for a local news station in the college town, Baker, Riana decided to forgo her degree in communications to become a writer for Harris Publications, in which Elise is her editor.

“That’s why tonight, while Elis is having fun playing with his grandparents, we’ll have our version of playtime, right baby.” Shawn replied and kissed Riana’s neck. A slight moan came from her lips.

“You’re trying to start something, are you?”

“I could.” He said as he kissed her neck again.

Riana smiled and grabbed his hand. “We’ll be back.” She said, taking Shawn towards the office.

“I better not catch you two having sex on the balcony again!” Marcus yelled.

Shawn turned around and shrugged when Riana pulled him to the hallway.

I shook my head at them. Those two have always been blunt about their sex life, which everyone pretty much got used to. My wife and I used to be like that, but those days were long gone.

“That’s nothing new with those two. Anyway, I was thinking since Daddy’s birthday is coming
up next month we can throw him a surprise party. He’s been really busy with his business,
so I think he needs to have some fun. What do you all think?” Cheryl asked.

“Cool, count me in.” Elise said.

“Me too, but I must warn you, my job is getting ready for their annual audits, so I might be
caught up in business.” I said.

“That’s nothing new.”

I looked over and saw my wife, Jennifer, standing beside me with a displeased look. I didn’t
even know she came over to us. From the time we’d arrived, she either was at the bar or sitting at
a table drinking what she got from the bar.

I had to admit, she did look sexy dressed in a blue and white striped halter dress. Her medium
brown hair was pulled in a tight ponytail as her perfectly shaped lips were in a pout. Her light
brown eyes were cold towards mine as she ran a hand down her pecan-colored shoulder.

“You know this happens every year, Jen.”

“Whatever.”

I looked at everyone and saw the confused looks on their faces. This shouldn’t come as a surprise. The two of us has been like this for months. Either we’re ignore each other or get into an argument. We even got into it while our son, Thomas was present. That’s something I never said I would do, especially since my parents had done it when me and my sisters were younger. I tried to be the opposite on how I was raised, but no matter what I do, Jennifer would find a way to provoke me. Hell, I think she’s trying to do it now.

“Don’t start.”

“Start what? I’m only saying that you do. It’s nothing new and I should expect it.”

“Do we really have to do this here?”

“You started it by bringing up your job. Now, I’ll drop it.” She said. She went back to the bar to get what I’m assuming was her fourth drink.

“What was that?” Cheryl asked.

I glanced at my sister and sighed. “My life at the moment.” I said. I shook my head and walked off. After that, I think I needed a drink as well.

Redemption Is Coming April 30th!!!

Hi everyone!!! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I have the cover for Redemption, which will be available on all major sites April 30th.

Here it is:

I also haven't done my "Things You Should Know" post in awhile, so I'm bringing it back. Here are 6 spoilers you should know about the story:

1. Time Frame: As you may know, this will pick up where Love Always left off. Since the last scene was done a year later from the previous story, it will be around the year 2017 (this will also be the same for Kevin's story as well).

2. Flashbacks: There will be a lot of flashbacks in this story that will tell Nathan's version to what happened in the most important scenes in the LLH series. From the first time him and Riana were intimate to the fight he got in with Jayden, he will tell his side to how things really happened. As the saying goes, there're always two sides to every story.

3. Grandma Hattie: She will play a very important role in Nathan's story. It will also show a side of his parents that even Nathan didn't know exist.

4. Rachel: Nathan and Rachel met while attending Texas Tech and were only together because of Shawn and Riana. Now, the two are trying to establish a relationship. With the issues Nathan has with his parents and the guilt he has about Riana, can the two be together or will it tear them apart?

5. Riana: Nathan still feels guilty with everything that has happened to Riana. Does he still have feelings for her even though she's married?

6. The Walker Men: I missed Shawn and Marcus. You all know the scenes Nathan and Shawn will have based from the excerpt that I previously released on here as well as on my Facebook page. Of course Shawn will have his issues with Nathan, but will actually have a change of heart about him later in the story.

Find out what really happen with Nathan and the rest of the crew when Redemption, the final book in the LLH series is available on April 30th!! I will post the links once they go live! :-)

Something Just Ain't Right 3 & New Series

Hi everyone! It has been a while since I posted a new entry, but I have been busy with finishing Something Just Ain't Right 3 and preparing for Redemption to be released.

Here are a couple of things that I have been working on:

Something Just Ain't Right 3

If you have been keeping up with the Something Just Ain't Right series, you would know that there have been a couple of OMG moments, but with SJAR3, there will be even more that will have your mouth hanging open!! You will never guess who is the mastermind behind destroying Morgan and Hayley (and trust me, it's a doozy!). But despite the issues, Hayley and Morgan will have their HEA. They deserve it so much, so you all will love the ending. A release date has not been set yet, so stay tuned to find out that along with the cover reveal for the final book in the series.

Love, Life, & Happiness

Are you ready to revisit the LLH crew? Well, it won't be long before you get updates on everyone with the sixth and final story in the series, Redemption. As everyone knows, this story was supposed to been released before SJAR began, but things happened, preventing the book from being released. Now that the third book will be released, I can now publish Redemption! I can't wait for you all to read this book. Since this is Nathan's story, it will show his POV on many of the situations that were presented throughout the LLH series. A release date has not been made yet, but it will be available once SJAR3 is released.

Kevin's Story

This week, I started working on my next series, which is the spin-off to Love, Life, & Happiness. Kevin's story will be very different from the LLH series. Yes, it will still have the romance that the series is known for, but there will be several situations going on- from Kevin's issues with his marriage to Jennifer, to the issues he will soon have with his college's best friend Carla.

In case you have forgotten about the blurb for the series, here it is:

Kevin Thompson always lived life straight by the book. He got a great job, married his college sweetheart, and has a wonderful son. But lately, Kevin’s life hasn’t been a page out of a fairy tale. He feels as if he’s stuck in a rut and his marriage to Jennifer is slowly falling apart. To make matters even more complicated, he unexpectedly runs into his college best friend, Carla Windsor, who was also friends with Jennifer. When a huge secret is exposed between the two, will it destroy everything Kevin has worked hard for or will he see this as his way out of the life he once cherished?

The original title for Kevin's story is Love & War, but since this series may be going through my publisher, the title may be changed. And trust me, this series will not be changed. It will still have every character from the LLH series. :-) I'm so excited to be writing this series because not only do I get to revisit the LLH crew, but I have a lot of great ideas to write, so stay tuned!
