Weekend Book Club--Glacier by Laurann Dohner

This week I read GLACIER by Laurann Dohner. It's the 9th book in her VLG series. Readers of this series will love it.

If you love paranormal romance, then you need to try Laurann Dohner. Her New Species series is fantastic as well.

Weekend Book Club--Dark Strength by Cynthia Sax

DARK STRENGTH is the third book in the Refuge sci-fi romance series by Cynthia Sax.

These books are dark and violent and the romance is unconventional, but they are stories of overcoming odds, of surviving, and finding love.

The heroes are anti-heroes. They aren't human and live in a violent world. They make no apologies for who they are or what they have to do in order to survive. The heroines are survivors, women with brutal pasts who must overcome that trauma not only to survive, but to truly live.

I'll be watching for the release of Dark Fire.

These books aren't for everyone, but if you enjoy a dark sci-fi story then you must read this series. If any kind of sexual trauma or violence bothers you, you might want to check out some of the authors lighter sci-fi romances.

Weekend Book Club--The Emerald Lily by Juliette Cross

THE EMERALD LILY is the forth book in the Vampire Blood series by Juliette Cross. This book is the exciting conclusion of the story arc that began in The Black Lily.

These books are a creative retelling of familiar fairy tales set in a world with vampires. I love this series and hope this is not the end of stories set in this incredible world that the author has created.

I would love to see more stories featuring the members of the Bloodguard.
