First Kill Blog Tour!

Andrew enjoys the company of women, perhaps too much. The council in heaven had enough of his sexual promiscuity and sentenced him to return to Earth to destroy demons. To make matters more difficult, if he has sex with a woman he has to stay an extra year. Without clothes, money, or food, his task seems impossible.
Emily is in a world of trouble. She leaves her family, job, and home in Chicago to start a new life. As she's driving along a country road, she discovers a naked man lying in the middle of it. He's incredibly built, sculpted to perfection, and blessed with a fine package south of his navel. When he asks for her help, she can't resist.
Over the next several days, Emily's sanity is tested. Andrew struggles to keep his hands to himself. Emily seeks the truth from Andrew while he endeavors to kill a demon. What she discovers frightens her—angels, demons, heaven and hell exist. Determined to help Emily change her future, Andrew offers her a deal. But is heaven the best eternal resting place?
AN EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT He lifted the visor before he turned to his new lady friend. “Thank you for the ride.” “What’s your name?” she asked.“Andrew.”She glimpsed at him. “Andy what?”“It’s Andrew, not Andy,” he said, a bit testy.“Oh, sorry. What’s your last name?”“Just call me Andrew.”She pressed her lips together and frowned. He sensed her discontent, but he didn’t see a point in sharing his full name.“What’s your name?” he asked.“Emily.”He noticed she avoided gazing at him. Did his nakedness bother her? He wondered if she was bashful. Surely, she didn’t think he had an unappealing body. But he couldn’t be certain. Maybe if he had something to hide his erection she would be more willing to look at him. “You wouldn’t happen to have any extra clothes, would you? Preferably for a man.” He looked behind her seat and spotted a cover and a bag containing bottles of water.“No, but there’s a blanket in the back you can use for now.”He twisted and reached between the seats. His arm brushed against hers and she inched away from him. After he pulled the blanket to the front, he placed it over his lap.The dark road had a lot of hills and curves. He hadn’t seen a single vehicle in either direction. Since they hadn’t passed many houses, he guessed they were far from a city. But where? And what year was it? Did Earth look the same since he’d left it in 1989? He wished the sun were shining so could he see more. She peeked at him from the corner of her eyes. “This is just too weird.”“What?”She took her eyes off the road briefly. “You.”“So you don’t stumble across naked men in the road very often?”She grinned and he thought it went well with her face. He would encourage her to smile more often.“No, you’re the first,” she said. “How did you end up without any clothes in the middle of some country road?”“If I told you, you wouldn’t believe me.”The temptation to feed her some story played in his mind. If he told her the truth, she might pull over and force him to get out. He needed help and right now, she was his only chance at getting it.“Try me,” she said.“Could you first tell me what year it is?”Her brows scrunched. “2016.”“Oh.” He nodded. “Good.”He inhaled a relieving breath. Since he’d only been gone twenty-seven years, he suspected he could fit back into society with ease.

Awakening Blog Tour
She’s the only one of her kind. And she doesn’t even know her name.
Two investigators–one human, one vampire–find a young woman among a mass of dead bodies. She has no memories, and nothing but her clothes, two receipts, and a mysterious dagger carved with the initials ‘SB’.
As she seeks her identity, SB realizes she’s unlike any other creature in the world, making her the most valuable person on the planet. And the most wanted.
WARNING: Language, violence, and graphic sex.
AN EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT:
Leaning back in the seat, I gazed out into the night. Tall buildings with bright, glowing lights painted a picturesque scene of the city. The hour must've been late since few cars passed by us on the interstate.“What city is this?” I asked as the car exited the highway.Jonas peered at me through the mirror. “Indianapolis.”I returned my attention out the window, searching for some clue to help me remember. Had I lived here my entire life? Did I have a family here? Where did I live? Did I have a job? I wanted to remember something, anything. We passed old apartment buildings, fast food joints, and businesses in a rundown area of the city. Exhaust fumes lingered in the air along with the stench of sewage. Ahead, a large monument stood in the middle of the road. I leaned forward between the seats for a better view.“Does anything look familiar?” Boss asked.“No,” I replied softly as I scanned the area in search of a memory. The paved road gave way to bricks and forced a small vibration through the car. Jonas slowed the vehicle as we circled a tall limestone sculpture with statues of soldiers on each side. I tilted my head, looking at the figures and the fountain surrounding the large sculpture. “Nothing looks familiar, but I have a feeling in my gut I've seen these statues before.”As the car traveled around the monument again, I scanned over the buildings. The businesses, a chocolate shop, Starbucks, and radio station failed to jog any memories.“Head toward the capital,” Boss said.Halfway around, Jonas veered down the brick road to a dome-shaped building with a statue in front. The capital, I presumed. Again, a slight sense of awareness stirred within me.“I think I have been here before,” I said.“Do you know when?” Boss asked as Jonas turned, passing the statue in front large building.I leaned back and stared out the side window. “No, I can't quite explain it, but I have a feeling I have been here before.”We passed by the capital, and I swiveled my head to the front. Boss stared at me from between the seats. The centers of his eyes expanded, giving him a frightening look. A second later, a sharp pain pierced my skull and the ringing in my ears returned louder than a bullhorn.“Stop it!” I snapped. The ringing grew louder; swallowing all my thoughts and making my teeth ache. I covered my ears and raised my voice. “Stop it, please!”Clenching his jaw, Boss turned around and leaned back in his seat. “Damn it, there’s nothing there.”I lowered my hands as the pain in my head ebbed. Half-angry, half-confused, I sat mute. The arrogant prick had tried to invade my mind. Every time one of them looked into my eyes, the annoying sound blared. Did they think I had lied to them about not knowing my name or having memories?“I know you were trying to get inside my head. I’m not stupid. I’m telling you the truth. I don’t know my name or why I was at the dump. I can’t remember anything.”Boss turned around and faced me. “You have to remember something in that pea brain of yours. There has to be some memory, childhood youth, first love, school, something.”Glowering at him, I crossed my arms. “And what did you find in my pea brain?” I fought the urge to punch him. “Nothing.” He grumbled. “Not a fucking thing.”

The Crease Blog Tour
She’s unique. Different. The moment we met I was gone. Long gone. From her pink hair to her vintage Converse sneakers. I have to have her and I always get what I want. Even if it means my dark secret could be exposed. My addiction to her might ruin my career. Maybe even my life.
I’m the most badass goalie the NHL has ever seen and my save percentage is inspiring. Almost as impressive as my chiseled body and ahem…other huge assets. I can snag any explosive rebound, any one-timer from the point and anything else that flies my way. I’ll lead my team to the Stanley Cup or die trying.
But my desire for Kylie puts my Hall of Fame career on the line. That and him. A vicious sociopathic blast from the past that I thought I’d never have to see again. And never wanted to. I’m a rich, famous hockey player—she’s a personal assistant. On paper we don’t fit. But there’s one place where we fit. Like a glove.
I have a stellar career and family obligations so I know I shouldn’t get involved with her. It’s too perilous. I can’t fall…risk losing my heart. But for the first time, I woman sees me. The real me. Not some walking wallet that distributes Benjamins like a malfunctioning ATM. And I sure as hell want her. Her tempting curves beg me to take it all.
But she’s been hiding something from me too. She has a secret that threatens to destroy us both. Even worse than mine. And so the superstar goalie is actually afraid. Because if either of those secrets see the light of day, it’s over.
Done.

Writing Process My writing process to me is pretty straight forward. Once I have a story idea, I talk it out, out loud, for days, sometimes weeks. Once I have it refined in my head, I start researching key locations or any factual data that I will need, before I turn to the plot wall and my sticky note stash.I’m a plotter. I learned the hard way that I cannot pants a book to save my life, the story gets away from me and goes rampant on tangents. Once I have the main characters identified, and the key transitions, I start working the board backwards so I know I end up where I plan to go and put the pieces in place arc by arc. In several of the books I’ve written, there are multiple story arcs, so I break each down one by one and put them up on the wall, before stepping back to see if I’ve left any major holes, or breaks in the flow. I can see by the color coding that I’ve learned to use if I have a pile up of action in one place or a lag in another. Hopefully, this keeps the story moving all the way through and doesn’t leave places for the reader to get bored. Before I sit down to actually write, I plug into something instrumental that lends itself to the mood of the story and ‘read’ the board scene by scene to make sure I don’t have odd transitions between arcs, or have somehow have put a scene from one arc ahead of where it should fall in relation to another. More than once at this point I’ve had to pull an arc down and replot it to get it to flow and fit with the rest of the tale being told. Once I sit down to write, it’s too late. The story becomes fluid and jumbled then and I can’t see the timelines clearly. This final ‘read through’ for me is critical, and can sometimes take hours or days to get through.Once the wall is up and done, it’s time to write. Block by block and scene by scene, I purge the story to words. As each element of the scene is incorporated, I take the sticky note down and turn it over. I don’t look back. Usually, within a couple of weeks, the whole story board is blank again and I have the rough draft done. I run a quick spelling and grammar check, print it off, and shelve it. After a few weeks, or days if I’ve been working on something else, I take it back out and read it with my red pen in hand. I make the corrections I’ve encountered, then I’m done and it’s off to the editor. After the plotting, the waiting game is the longest part for me. I actively distract or pamper myself now so I don’t go stir crazy, or fall to the temptation to interrupt the editor working. Once I have the edits back and incorporated or declined, the book is formatted and off to betas for go time and it’s time for me to start working on another story.

For so many reasons, Savannah considers herself a ‘Contemporary Vagabond’ when it comes to writing and hopes that others find her diverse offerings as enjoyable to read as they are to write.
Her first release in decades, Viva Zapata & the Magic 8-Ball began the journey August 1, 2015. Her short story, What they didn’t know, was featured in the January/February BTS magazine, and she co-authored a paranormal piece, Kingdoms Fall, which came out in early 2016. Her next two solo ventures, the first two books in The Custos series -Book of Time & Book of Change also released in 2016. After that, she’ll be working on her competition piece, Chasing Daylight for Cherry Adair’s Finish the Damn Book Challenge, she has an upcoming anthology work called Immortal Alchemy, and an untitled short story for a charity anthology that is a TBA release. There is a long list of titles to come after those are done too.
As the primary owner and driving force behind Eclectic Bard Books she considers herself immensely fortunate to see writing from varied perspectives as she endeavors to publish the authors rostered there. Working with other writers, Savannah gets to expand her horizons every day as someone brings a new idea to the table and the brainstorming begins. There is something addictive about the creative process for her and helping other authors embrace their dreams make hers a reality daily.
That’s the official Savannah, the unofficial version is just a girl who loves experiencing life with every twist and turn it takes. When she was born, she had such fine, light hair that her mother used to tape bows to her head so people would know she was a girl. She’s had a host of crazy unrelated jobs- everything from cake decorator, dry cleaner, and insurance agent to Emergency Room assistant, bartender, crime lab tech and bouncer. Savannah loves air hockey but completely sucks at it. She loves good jazz, good scotch, and antiques but also old rock, a quiet tea, and a tidy home. She’s completely technology impaired and can get it after she’s broken the computer or done it ass-backwards a few times… Thank Gods that there are some amazing meme creators that let her pilfer images or she’d be lost. Lime green is her color, the rhinoceros is her logo & philosophy, and she’s completely mad about seeing new authors try.

In the far, and exotic city of Tiquan, Leland and his friend Tommy Wayne take their liberty from the ship to explore the cobblestone streets bathed in the city’s yellow gas lamps. There, in an upscale hotel they find three very flirtatious ladies.
As Leland’s eyes meet Ella’s, the world falls hush, and two beating hearts echo with passions that will bring two warring houses together. But, there is little time to bask in spring’s young love, as a greedy and spiteful nation, Burkermuran, levels its bombs and war machine upon the ill-prepared citizens of Tiquan.
Ella, and her two friends find themselves at the mercy of vicious Burker agents, only to be rescued by Leland and Tommy. This sparks a fearful escape from the burning Tiquan, into the hinterlands of the continental interior.

“The premise of Black Bead is wonderful, and it was a fun, short read I happily breezed through. It was refreshing to read new sci-fi with an original plot, on a new planet.” Carly Courtney, Sci-Fi Addicts.com

BLURB:On a savage, outlying planet an enclave of psionically-trained humans have built a utopian, matriarchal society that lives in harmony with all life. Leaving behind the polluted and corrupt world in which they lived, they colonized a new home far from the eyes of the galactic empire. Shielded from the rest of the galaxy by the dangerous beasts that inhabit their lush, forested world, the village lives a simple life under their Home Dome. But their goal was more than just to live in peace – they wanted to create the perfect human who could bring peace to the galaxy. Rather than merely cloning themselves, they began to manipulate genes in order to create a race of mutants with enhanced telepathic powers.Under the direction of the ruling witch coven, each child of the Windfall Dome is tested at a young age to asses their abilities – a test which can plot the course for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately, Cheobawn – the daughter of the ruling First Mother to the dome – is marked with the Black Bead on her Choosing Day, a symbol of bad luck and shame. It seems the child the mothers had placed so much hope in would not be the future ruler they had hoped for. Yet there is something powerful about her that the elders don’t understand. Finally of age, Cheobawn is chosen to join a pack to act as the psychic Ear on a foraging mission outside the dome. She knows this is her chance to prove herself. But something sinister stalks them and each member of the pack must draw on their unique strengths and a lifetime of training if they want to survive to see another day.In her visionary new series The Black Bead Chronicles, author J.D. Lakey invites you to journey along with Cheobawn, Megan, Tam, Connor, and Alain as they use their wits and their Luck to unravel the mysteries of the deceptively bucolic life beneath the dome in this coming of age metaphysical science fiction adventure.

The Dark Ones (Black Werewolves, Book 1)In a world ruled by lethal Slavic immortals, Rose and her pack of Black werewolves are drawn into the beginning of a war as they try to uncover the being behind the mass murder of White werewolves.Because the nature of the killings obstructs the normal passage of souls, Veles, the sultry lord of the underworld, offers Rose his assistance; the were is left facing not only the new knowledge of the pack’s hidden lineage but also her growing fondness for the arrogant god…To win the war, the pack must ascend to The Dark Ones. But to do so, they must be willing to risk being on the receiving end of the immortal community’s wrath.**The 24hourlies (Black Werewolves, Book 2)The ascension to The Dark Ones had brought Rose and her pack power. But it had also brought peril. With the higher immortal circles observing their every move, the only way the pack can prevent from becoming the recipients of their resentment is to keep their presence profitable for the wider community. When someone begins targeting the twentyfourhourlies, the civil and agreeable vampiric individuals, the werewolves come to their aid.But what had first seemed like an assignment done to remain in the leaders’ good graces, now becomes a mission for which the pack is willing to risk its safety and anonymity in exchange for the possibility of catching the responsible party.**Chased (Black Werewolves, Book 2.5)Katja is more than ready to meet Jürgen’s family. But she feels the need to share the shadows of her past first. As they travel to Munich, Katja has to fight her fears and open up to the werewolf if she wishes to truly, wholly share her life with someone. But her visit with the Freundenbergers brings more than just a heart-to-heart as the vampire finds herself in a situation that seems frightfully like an echo of her own nightmares.
The Gamayun remained silent, perched on the opposite table. The weres waited, but seeing she didn’t intend to offer any more information freely, Mark intervened.“What is this toxin you speak of?”The Gamayun placed her pitch-black gaze upon him.“The toxin is something you must discover on your own. It is not that I wish to entice you; it is something you could not comprehend at this point. You rely on information before heading into battle – this is different. Delve into your lineage.”Rose didn’t feel like delving into anything, especially not a hunt (was it even a hunt?) she had zero intelligence about. She bit back her anger with the bird-like creature who kept staring at them with those abyss-eyes.“So how are we supposed to know where to begin?” she asked as politely as she could, which was no small effort. She knew how to take orders, but the Gamayun was clearly above even hierarchical patterns that applied to combatants. Her words reflected a time when soldiers would lay down their lives for a cause they knew scarcely anything about. The Gamayun shifted her wings and leaned forward, releasing something that landed with a thud in the middle of their table. As the glamor dissolved, the object started to take shape. The whole ordeal of seeing the Gamayun in person – or maybe the fortified glamor – had made them oblivious of the corroding smell that was now invading their senses. Eyes focused on the materializing lump in front of them, neither dared to breathe any longer, as if they could erase the stench that had already burned into their nostrils. They could sense without a doubt what it was, but they were unprepared for the final result. Deep growls boomed around the table as a severed head finally revealed itself in its full macabre glory.

Oak & Mistletoe Book Feature
A Druid Curse, A Prophesied Love, A Consuming Vengeance…
Catherine Green, along with her twin sister and older brother, travels to Ireland on a college graduation trip. Her vacation takes a permanent turn when she lands her dream job at an art and history museum on her beloved Emerald Isle. She meets a handsome stranger named Bowen, an expert of sorts on local ancient studies. Though their first meetings are turbulent at best, Catherine finds herself drawn to him.
Unaware that she is the key to breaking a hidden curse, Catherine unleashes the evil madman Conall and his druid followers, imprisoned since ancient times. Tragedy and loss ensue, sprouting within Catherine the deep seeds of rage that thrust her onto the damaging path of vengeance. Confused by the enigma that is Bowen, his mixed signals, and her own feelings, she is swept away with him on an unexpected journey surrounded by myth and long-forgotten knowledge. In order to stop the evil plans of Conall and his reunified army, Catherine must entwine her fate with peril. Her survival is trivial to her as long as Conall dies. She’ll do whatever it takes.
Exclusive Excerpt As Catherine examined the relic, she suddenly heard an airy whistle followed by a cracking noise. She looked up at Danny and felt herself sinking back, then falling. The stone she sat on was giving way. She heard Danny yell for her as she fell, and in a quick second managed to reflexively grab hold of several small trees and sharp bushes which cut her mercilessly but slowed her fall. The staff had caught at an angle against a tree and she grabbed at either side until she was hanging against the cliff. Dirt fell on her from the small landslide she created on her way down. She had tumbled a very short distance, but her blood pumped hard in her ears.
“Catherine?!” Danny screamed from above.
Catherine couldn't move, other than dangle. Every time her body swung she felt a horrible pang, and thought that moment would be her last. She couldn't say a word, she could barely breathe, so she hung helplessly. Focusing her weight and hands on the staff, she struggled to keep hold. Her upper body was not her strong point, her arms were already exhausted, and she wondered how much longer she could last. Unable to look up or down she stared stupidly at the ground.
“I'm coming down to get you!” Danny shouted. He had never been afraid of heights. As a boy, he would throw himself from trees, and cause great stress to all who had been forced to watch. Since boyhood, he had matured to skydiving and other thrill-seeking skills. Rock climbing was nothing to him.
Though Catherine was terrified for him since it was clearly a very unstable area, she knew he was her only hope. She was no acrobat, and she was paralyzed by fear. She considered her imminent death, and wished Danny would leave her to it and not risk himself. A light in the back of her mind reminded her she would see Kathleen again, and that this torture would end. But then she remembered she had to live to help Bowen. She couldn't leave him to fix her mistake. The mistake he had tried to prevent. Catherine slowly came back to the here and now, trying to keep her grip on the staff whose smoothness she had quickly grown to resent. She tried to hold still, and keep her hands inward so as not to accidentally slip off. Held tightly to the sharp protruding edges, her hands began to feel like they were being cut in slow motion.
Unable to see her brother from her dangling position, she listened desperately for anything and finally heard movement along with gravel and dirt tumbling down around her. Squinting her eyes, she held her breath and waited. Within less than five minutes, Danny slid to a stopping point by hitting the tree she relied on for survival. Catherine's breath escaped loudly as her eyes flew open. “I'm here!” he said, as he made grunting noises trying to steady himself.
Still unable to look up, Catherine wondered what he planned on next.
“Listen to me, Catherine, when I say so you need to let go.”
Catherine slowly shook her head. He was talking crazy. There was no way she was just going to let go.
“Only one hand. I'll be there to grab it,” he said firmly.
That was certainly less crazy, though she had doubts as to her ability to do as he asked. Catherine quickly wondered how Danny was going to pull this off. She knew they didn't have any rope with them. She worried once again for his safety.
“I'm going to say 'now' in a sec, and that's when I need you to let go of the staff with one hand, okay?” He sounded unsettled by her silence. Though he clearly understood she was in some state of shock, he worried that she might completely freeze up.
Catherine waited for Danny to give the word, and she tried to prepare herself for the sudden death that might follow. Wait! she thought in a panic. He didn't say which! Which hand! she mentally screamed, and cursed herself inwardly that she couldn't break her silence. She thought madly. Which would he reach for? He knew she was right handed, but maybe he wasn't able to get to her right hand? She couldn't possibly be sure either way from where his voice came above her, for the tree was thin where it didn't block sound, and the gravel came from both sides when it fell. She would have to take the chance and hope he would know. Catherine waited.
“Now!” Danny shouted.
