Great dark fantasy story

"Houston incorporates an interesting mix of Greek mythology, ghosts, goblins, and his own novel creatures to create a terrifying world that, without the efforts of a young girl and her brother, will soon be consumed by them. I'm a fan of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials Trilogy and Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game Series; this first volume is up there with those."

Edge of your seat adventure

New review:

"The menace emanating from the house and gardens is palpable throughout the story, which will keep you engaged and on the edge of your seat from start to finish."

Your nails will be bitten to the quick

Another Nightfall Gardens Amazon review:

"Fair warning, by the end of this book, your nails will be bitten to the quick. Mr. Houston does an amazing job at combining fantasy with emotional realism-his sensitive observations and ability to maintain psychological tension transcend the genre. Hope my nails grow back by book two."

What a debut!

A new review is up on the first volume of the Nightfall Garden trilogy.

"What a debut. Cannot wait for the next installment. Reminds me a bit of Nix when he wrote Lireal. Very original fantasy. Will easily go into my top ten."
