A. Ray writes fantasy where wild magic lingers in forgotten forests, old legends refuse to stay buried, and small acts of courage can change the fate of worlds.

She is the author of Where the Flame Sleeps, the first book in The Balance of the Wild series.

When she isn't writing her next book or reading the latest fantasy romance, she spends much of her time training horses to higher levels of performance and teaching riders to connect more deeply with them. Years spent studying the psychology and physiology of horse and rider have shaped her fascination with communication, especially the quiet kind that happens without words.
