Some transformation took place,
the letter lost its gravity
and floated upwards,
just one though, just the first.

M drifted like wind caught
and found its way upside down,
before normalcy took over
and returned it to earth,
landed on its back,
kicked its legs skyward,
a beetle rolled over,
but this one loved the look
of the sky.

We, from a Me, still don’t know
how it happened,
not sure why gravity took
a siesta, called in sick
for a moment or two,
but here We are.

Sometimes it’s just so much
and my mind soaks it
like a sponge, carries twice
its weight and leaks the excess
back into me.  

Sometimes I cannot hold it all,
not enough arms or fingers
and sometimes there are
too many plates to keep spinning.

Sometimes I am worn out and tired
and numb from the constant
hum of noise in my mind.  
Sometimes I just want a little
insulation from the buzz
of it, the constant hive song
that seems to fill every
moment.
