wind carried and swirling,
vibrant and consuming.  
I, alive and breathless
stood still as the stones
that held me over the river
until you asked me to turn.

So much shake held inside
this skin, so much tremble
and quake.

Arms length away, your dress
reached out
to pull me closer.  

I forget everything
else.

When walls crumble, rubble remains. Every piece of barrier ever built, every excuse and isolating insulation scatters, all that we know silenced in the dust and fragment of who we were.
