The Outlaw of Cedar Ridge Celebrates its 1st Birthday...

The experience wasn’t exactly what I thought it would be, it is so much more. The learning
curve has been steep for promotion, building a website, attempting to figure out Twitter, posting on Facebook, developing a few blog features, while still caring for my family and, of course, writing. My head is still spinning with information and all the things remaining on my ‘to do’ list.
But I wouldn’t trade it for the world. When someone asks what I do, I proudly announce
I’m an author, with a big goofy grin.
My second book, The Lawman of Silver Creek, came out a couple of months after my first. My third is with my editor now, but I’ll never forget my first book. It has a special place in my heart.
If you like imperfect cowboys, consider
picking up one of my Men of Fir Mountain.
Enjoy the last days of summer everyone.'

For fans of Diana Palmer and Linda Lael Miller comes the first in a brand new and emotionally
gripping trilogy, The Men of Fir Mountain.
The day Evie met Benjamin Rolfe, a man with an unbridled enthusiasm for life and grandiose
plans to match, she knew they'd marry and live happily ever after...
Five years later, her charming rancher is now a bitter, cynical stranger with a shaky moral
compass. And after too many shattered dreams, Evie no longer believes in fairy tale endings.
When they lose the homestead and head out on the open road to start a new life in Oregon, their
marriage is already strained to breaking point. Can their love survive this second chance?

BIO: I was born and still live in Oregon.
Despite being a good student, my teachers complained about my tendency to daydream. The tales dancing through my imagination were frequently far more entertaining than real life. As far back as I can remember I made up stories, to
calm my sister after a nightmare, entertain myself in boring classes and write in countless notebooks, many never again to see the light of day.
I earned a BS from Eastern Oregon State College and married my best friend almost twenty years ago. I've three brilliant, handsome sons, one amazing daughter-in-law, a
beautiful granddaughter and two spoiled dogs. When not writing I love to read, hike, camp, rock hound, and take long walks with my husband just after it rains.

We're talking Retro Tandem!
Today I have the lovely author Jane Linfoot on the blog getting chatty about riding a retro tandem! Find out what it really feels like to be hurtling downhill on a tandem...and discover her brilliant summer release: High Heels and Bicycle Wheels. Take it away Jane... A tandem is an iconic symbol of togetherness – when a tandem rides by, people invariably smile. We decided to give tandem riding a go when my partner got fed up of looking back as I lagged behind on bike rides – he reckoned that on a tandem at least he’d know I hadn’t fallen off.
Our tandem is a bargain basement 1980’s Peugeot, which we bought for £100 on eBay.
It came from Wensleydale, and had been standing under a tree for six months before we rescued it. The owners used to regularly ride it as far as Spain, but the day we picked it up it looked so rusty they ended up offering us a £20
refund. On the up side, it had fast wheels, and a sticker that said TEAM VELO SPORT, and after an afternoon of TLC and polishing by my partner, it emerged as a retro beauty.
If you fancy buying a tandem, you’ll find a brusque trade on eBay. A lot of guys who like cycling buy lovely tandems in the hope that their partners will join them on the back, but end up disappointed, and sell the bikes almost unused.
Also tandems are quite cumbersome both to transport and store, so when people are clearing out, they’re often the first thing to go. Add in the enthusiastic tandem riders who are upgrading to better models, and there are lots of bargains
to be had.
Tandems are harder to ride than you’d think, but hang on in there.
In my latest book, High heels& Bicycle Wheels, I send the world’s most unsporty heroine, Bryony, off on a tandem with smoking hot pro cyclist, Jackson. She hates going downhill, feels travel sick, and does a lot of screaming – all based
on my own experiences.
If you’re on the back of a tandem, it’s the ultimate in trust and submisssion. You need a lot of trust in the person in front, and you may need to make adjustments to the seat and handlebars to make sure you get a view forwards. I will admit there are still times when I have to close my eyes, and every second person you pass will
shout something out about the person on the back not pedalling. But after that it’s fun all the way.
Blurb: High Heels & Bicycle Wheels
Meet Bryony: She's a fun-loving, very single TV production assistant whose idea of sport is the
Jimmy Choo sales scrum.
Meet Jackson: Cycling's bad boy superstar. Injured and out of racing this summer, without his training he's looking for another distraction.
Bryony's facing a triple whammy – her last single friend just named the day, her mother's offering to have her eggs frozen, and the guy she's loved from afar, forever, just got hitched. So she's more than happy to accept the offer of a totally out of character but seriously steamy one night of no-strings fun. Especially when the guy in question is so attractive he even looks good in Lycra!
Jackson's on the look out for a new career but if the opportunity to work on TV means a fortnight with the most uptight woman in the world, he'd rather not bother. He never goes in for seconds – and who in their right mind would head off in a
camper van with a woman who irons her knickers?
Add in a tandem (yes, a tandem) and fast forward to double trouble for a summer neither of them will ever forget!

The Songbird and the Soldier Celebrates its 1st Birthday...

with someone else thinking of me as an author and far more work than I thought, but a lot more fun too. Between the writing and the promo and creating a blog, building a website, getting an author Facebook page and getting to grips with
Twitter, it has felt a little mad at times. And that’s on top of looking after my family.
I have By My Side, my second book, out since then too and a third now written, but Songbird will always be special to me. It was the one that helped me fly. And now it is coming out in paperback too, hopefully it can soar to new heights. (A girl can dream.)
I hope this year will be a good year for the troupes returning home from Afghanistan and for Songbird, who lived a virtual life with them, even if only through fiction.
And maybe if you feel the need for some tortured heroes and brave men in dusty uniform, you might pick up a copy too and become a friend.
Have a good summer all.
Wendy Lou Jones xxx

Garrington the timing couldn’t have been worse. Being sent halfway round the world to Afghanistan, Andy is prepared for a fight, but what he doesn’t expect is the most important battle of his life to carry on at home.
For Samantha Litton, running into her childhood crush at the pub one evening seems like good fortune. But when he is called away to war and she is left behind, things don’t seem quite so clear and Sam has to determine who is telling her the truth and who is playing her for a fool, when all seems fair in love and war.
Bio: My name is Wendy Lou Jones. I was born and raised in West Sussex, England and moved to Birmingham to study Medicine at University, where I was lucky enough to meet my husband. We now live in a little village in Herefordshire with our two grubby boys. I discovered a
love of writing not long after my youngest son started school. And if you were to ask me what it was that made me make the switch, I’d tell you quite simply, that it started with a dream.

An "I Love Stationery" Post with...Elsa Winckler

like a kid in a candy story when I’m in there. I simply don’t know where to start. Our daughter and daughter-in-law share my fetish and I know whatever I buy, they’ll love.
My favourite stationery? I adore those little post-it stickers and only take them down around my work space when I feel a bit threatened by all the yellow reminders.
I love any and all kinds of journals – the empty pages are filled with so many possibilities – a story, a note, a list of books I still want to read, a diary of a trip, a recipe, a pattern, the beginnings of a love story …
And pencils! There is just something about them – the smell always transports me back to simpler times before the world was ruled by technology. And somehow, the idea that whatever you write down with a pencil is temporary, can be changed, erased – fascinates me.
Don’t get me wrong – I love technology. I’m completely in love with my small, shiny, white laptop on which I write all the weird and wonderful conversations that always seem to be taking place in my head among people I have yet to meet.
One of these stories are coming out on 1 July – Touched to the heart.
It is the first in what I hope to be a series on the Cavallo brothers – tycoons and owners of boutique hotels in South Africa, London and the
Seychelles. The first story is about Don who met Caitlin when he injured his back during a cycling race. She is a physiotherapist and when she touches his injured back, she also manages to touch his heart.
I hope you’ll enjoy getting to know them.

meeting.
When it comes to men, if physiotherapist Caitlin Sutherland didn't have bad luck, she would have no luck at all. To help cope, Caitlin starts blogging in her spare time, about the types of men she meets and the bad dates she goes
on.
While on duty during the annual Wines to Whales bicycle race, a gorgeous, sweaty cyclist walks in and sets her hormones dancing. But he
is Don Cavallo; one of the four Cavallo brothers — hotel tycoons, famous as much for their business skills as for the number of beauties regularly seen on their arms.
Don Cavallo has his own issues with the other sex. He has yet to find one who is interested in him and not in his money or hotels. But when this sexy physio puts her hands on his back she not only touches his body, but also his heart.
They've both been burned before, but neither of
them can stop themselves from playing with fire.
Bio: I have been reading love stories for as long as I can remember and when I ‘met’ the classic authors like Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, Henry James The Brontë sisters, etc. during my
studies, I was hooked for life.
I married my college boyfriend and soul mate and after 39 years, 3 beautiful children and 3 grandchildren, he still makes me weak in the knees. We are fortunate to live in the picturesque
little seaside village of Betty's Bay, South Africa with the ocean a block away and a beautiful mountain right behind us. And although life so far has not always been an easy ride, it has always been an exiting and interesting one!
I like the heroines in my stories to be beautiful, feisty, independent and headstrong. And the
heroes must be strong but possess a generous amount of sensitivity. They are of course, also gorgeous! My stories typically incorporate the family background of the characters to better understand where they come from and who
they are when we meet them in the story.

The Keepers: Declan - Rae Rivers Launch Tour Giveaway

We’re celebrating the release of the second book in Rae Rivers’ paranormal romance series today with a launch tour and giveaway. Find out all the details and be sure to get your entries in to win a copy of Archer, the first book of The Keepers.

‘“You lied to me, misled me, attacked me,” Declan murmured, dipping his head toward hers, “but what we had three months ago wasn’t fake, was it?”
Kate’s gaze faltered to his lips, heat pulsing between them. But she didn’t deny it. Declan Bennett has zero tolerance for thieves. He and his brothers, the Keepers, are fiercely protective of their witch, Sienna, and their
privacy.
So when Kate Carrigan breaks into their estate, he’ll be damned if he lets the little wildcat get away with it – especially after she seduced
him three months ago, leaving him buck-naked in a New Orleans hotel. Declan wants payback – and some answers.
Before she was murdered, Kate’s mother ingrained it in her not to trust anyone. Kate’s magical powers make her a pawn in the war between good and evil, a war she’s always avoided. Declan is everything she’s been
taught to fear, even if she can’t forget the memory of his touch that one night…
Trouble is brewing as the powers of evil regroup – bolder and hungrier than ever – and Kate is forced to choose a side.
Hot romance, epic battles and action abound in Book 2 of The Keepers.’

Firsts...

As well as finding the perfect gift to treat myself to, I got to experience a lot of firsts waiting for The Waiting Game to release...
This year has flown by, but I can still remember the flutter in my heart when I first saw ‘copyright by’ and the copyright symbol next to my name.
And seeing my cover for the first time? I can admit that it took me a while to realize Big Ben was in the background—I was distracted by
something in the foreground. Abs can say so much, don’t you think?!
Then there was seeing my book appear on all the bookseller sites that I usually purchased books from. Typing in my name and having my book pop up to buy—yep, total rush!
But as I raise my glass in celebration of The Waiting Game being out a year, the absolute icing on the cake was the first time a reader took the time to contact me and tell me how much they enjoyed my book.
I think that’s why all the firsts surrounding the release of your debut book are so special. The fact that people are prepared to take a chance on a new voice and without any pre-judging dive right in for an adventure, well, it’s the greatest of compliments. It is also why writers write—to share a story.
If you’ve been looking for the next adventure to dive right into, then consider the wait over! Here are all the details you need to immerse yourself in The Waiting Game:

Five years ago a madman stalked her. Kidnapped her. Tattooed her.
When security expert Cameron Dexter—the man Brooke Bennett once loved—appears unexpectedly at her door with terrifying news, the former musician discovers she can no longer hide from her past. After five years, her vicious
kidnapper is out of prison and on the hunt—for
Brooke.
Now he’s returned to complete his art.
Cam failed to protect Brooke once before. Now he’d rather die than let her be captured. With her life at stake, Cam vows to keep her hidden and safe. Brooke, however, is done with running. Unlike Cam, she wants to stand and fight. Emotions both old and new roil between them, but addressing their heated past must wait. Together they set a trap in London to catch a killer. But they soon discover the enemy wears many faces...
And waiting is no longer an option.

My name's Georgia, and I'm a...

addict.
Ooh, I love stationery. I mean, I really love stationery!
When I taught, the summer holiday ritual I looked forward to most was a trip to a well-known stationery superstore to stock up on teaching
essentials for the year ahead.
I spent many a happy hour wandering the aisles buying motivational stickers (mostly for me!), pen holders, A4 pads of lined paper, sparkly pens, novelty crocodile clips, rubbers shaped like pigs – and don’t even get me started on pink, fluffy pencil toppers.
My efficiency as a pedagogue (don’t panic, I’m not like that, look it up) depended entirely on a) post its and b) plastic wallets. Whatever the academic year threw at me, I felt prepared with a novelty shaped post-it at my elbow.
Now, I’m launched onto another career (I’ve had quite a few!) I find stationery still plays a vital role.
Nowadays I cannot resist the lure of the hunt for the perfect notebook. I have notebooks all over the place. I have a small one, now very tatty and coming up to retirement, which goes in the handbag. I also have one which sits by the bed, to capture those just woken up moments of inspiration and which doubles as a coaster. Shamefully, and with a sincere apology to trees
everywhere, I have a shelf full of yet to be used notebooks.

A5 sized – big enough to scribble in, small enough to fit into a bag. With a hard cover – to lean on.A pretty or inspiring cover. Current favourites include a Jane Austen themed one and a Kandinsky painting.Ring bound. So the pages can easily be folded back.
Often I get bought note-books as presents. Some expensive perfume? A new pair of red-heeled shoes? Something small and sparkly? No – what makes my birthday and Christmas is a new notebook! I’m so cheap.
If I were more organised I’d, like a lot of writers, have a new notebook for each work in progress. I’m afraid mine are full of a muddle of random jottings, bits of overheard dialogue, train times and story outlines. Oh and some really bad poetry.
I’m at the serious stage of writing the work in progress at the moment. This is when I have to abandon the notebooks and force myself to sit at
the laptop with a boring A4 pad of paper next to me. It has a chapter by chapter synopsis, character profiles, a list of places, time-scales and yes, you’ve guessed it, more random jottings. Currently it has a page open which
reads:
“Hunt Ball"
Party
Check Llewellyn – 4 lls
Leeks, cabbage, squash, toms, salad cut ‘n’
grow.”
It means something to me – really it does!

Maybe I need a new note-book in order to organise my thoughts? What a great excuse.
Love,
Georgia x Here's some lovely info about Georgia's first book (check out the gorgeous cover and you'll understand the 'strictly' remark)!

Blurb:
Who Dares Dances is a reality TV show with a difference. Not only do contestants have to learn to dance, they also face a series of bizarre challenges. When Julia Cooper signs up, all she wants is to revive her flagging acting career.
When she meets dare-devil Harri Morgan, though, the attraction is instant – and hot!
Forced to perform a sexy rumba together, the sequins really start to fly. Will they score the perfect ten, or is their romance destined to be a dance disaster? Find out in Say it with Sequins, the first in a series of three novellas.
Bio:
I used to live in London, where I worked in the theatre. Then I got the bizarre job of teaching road safety to the U.S. navy – in Marble Arch!
A few years ago, I did an ‘Escape to the Country’. I now live in a tiny Herefordshire village, where I scandalise the neighbours by not keeping ‘country hours’ and being unable to make a decent pot of plum jam. Home is a converted oast house, which I share with my two beloved spaniels, husband (also beloved) and a ghost called Zoe.
I’ve been lucky enough to travel widely, though prefer to set my novels closer to home. Perhaps more research is needed? I’ve always wanted to base a book in the Caribbean!
I am addicted to Belgian chocolate, Jane Austen and, most of all, Strictly Come Dancing. Keep dancing, everyone! Georgia xx

Fab Re-Released Titles...
The lovely romance writer Eva Scott has had three books re-released through Musa Publishing and they look so good, I thought I'd share them with you here.
But first here's a little bit about Eva:
Eva lives on the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland Australia in the town which brought the world the Bee Gees. When she’s not writing romance you can find her out on the water kayaking, fishing or swimming. When on dry land it’s all about the shoes and the coffee (and old Bee Gees records).

MARRIAGE MAKEOVER
Nick and Talia Carmichael were childhood sweethearts. Grief over the death of their baby daughter from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome crushed their marriage. Talia moved to a new city, with a new career and life. Now it’s time to close the door on the past and ask Nick for a divorce.
Nick has other ideas. Once his wife, always his wife. He has no intention of letting Talia off so lightly and proposes terms and conditions to his agreement. It will mean moving back into their marital home, and force her to face long buried
grief. Can she do as he asks?
Being with Nick causes her to question everything she thought was true. Has she made a mistake thinking her love for Nick is dead? Can he still love her? More importantly, can he again trust after everything they’ve been through?
RELUCTANT WEDDING PLANNER
Dr Camden James is a rural vet, not a wedding planner, so he quickly feels out of his depth when, in a fit of generosity, he offers to glam up his sister's budget wedding in a secret move designed to surprise her. With only six weeks to make this the wedding of his sister's dreams he needs to move fast.
Stumbling around in the largely female world of weddings he gets a lead on the go-to girl for wedding flowers - Georgiana Mac Intyre. Georgi, reeling from a very public breakup, is not interested in men in anyway shape or form. Not even super-cute vets - even when they are clearly interested in her.
Cam shamelessly uses his story to get her to help. It has all the elements; romance against the odds, true love, orphans (you can't have good story without an orphan or two), and a bride.
T’WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
During her Christmas Eve performance, part time Burlesque dancer Miss Ginger Snap looks
out into the crowd to see her first and only love, Clay Roberts. The man who broke her heart and betrayed her. The man who caused her to flee her home town to Sydney and never look back. Desperate to avoid him, she makes a mad dash for the last train back to her home town in time for Christmas.
For Clay time stands still as he recognises the dancer. He’s certain it’s Jessica King. She ran out on him at their high school graduation and he’s been searching for her ever since. After missing her train, Clay convinces Jessica to travel home with him.
Can Clay convince his one true love to give him the opportunity to atone and a second chance? Can Jess risk being hurt again by the man she
loved?

But first here's a little bit about Eva:
Eva lives on the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland Australia in the town which brought the world the Bee Gees. When she’s not writing romance you can find her out on the water kayaking, fishing or swimming. When on dry land it’s all about the shoes and the coffee (and old Bee Gees records).

Can Jess risk being hurt again by the man she
loved?
