Another thing that’s bugging me – in the show, like in the preview clips – when Lestrade and John are talking about the baby being like Sherlock, and Sherlock is on the stairs, the shot of Sherlock is reversed. His hair part and the stairs are on the wrong side. Why ?

And we’re back! Sorry I haven’t updated the blog for such a long time but things really have been very busy. You’ll have seen on the news about how Sherlock recovered the Mona Lisa. He described it as “an utterly dreary case” and was much more interested in the case of a missing horseshoe and how it was connected to a bright blue deckchair on Brighton beach.

I’ll try to write everything up when I get chance but it’s not been missing portraits and horseshoes that have taken up my time.

I’m going to be a Dad.

I mean, I thought I’d spent the last few years being a Dad to Sherlock, but it really doesn’t compare. The baby runs all of our lives. (Maybe not THAT different to Sherlock then!) If I’m not changing nappies, I’m buying nappies. I’ve fought in Afhanistan and my best friend once faked his own death but none of that [SOMETHING I CAN’T READ]. It’s a terrifying and amazing and the biggest adventure I’ve been-

Okay, wait though, if those bedroom texts AREN’T to the bus stop woman, then what was John about to tell Mary before Sherlock texted him to come to the aquarium? It seemed like it was going to be a confession of something.

Plus it wouldn’t be weird for Sherlock to be up late; John knows that about him. And I’m not really sure either of them are at the “I miss you” stage of talking to each other.

And if he and Sherlock were running some sort of plan around Mary, would John or Sherlock just do it by text so blatantly? Mary would read that and they’d both know she would read it. (Then, even if it’s all to the bus stop woman, that’s really blatant of John.)

I dunno, I don’t think he’s texting Sherlock.

Maybe it was Harry?

He would know if Harry is a night owl or not and wouldn’t need to covertly text his own sister so his wife doesn’t see.

I really just think it was all to the bus stop woman, especially since it looks like her twin or something is in the next episode. She was probably some kind of plant, I think? They keep saying “it’s never twins” so it’s totally twins imo…

People keep saying you don’t say “I miss you” to someone you’ve just met but like… come on, every movie where people are cheating they text/say that to each other regardless of how long they’ve known each other. It’s really, really common for people who are cheating to say that to each other.

Remember the first suicide victim in ASiP? Pretty sure one of the cheating pair said that to the other on the phone.

And Rosie looks about six months old by the end of the episode (someone correct me, I’m not a parent) so that’s more than enough time for him and this woman to have built a relationship enough for her to say ‘too long/missed you’.

Yeah. Also like, honestly for cheaters a week could be considered “too long.”

Yes, the affair went on for awhile. The show keeps skipping time. That’s the way I read it.
