I love Martin’s wrinkles. I love that he looks his age. I love that he’s not perfect, that he doesn’t have a hard body. I love that he admits he yells at his kids and likes his sofa a bit too much and loves to eat. I love his lil belly and his small hands and his soft smile. I love that he’s short. I love that he loves animals and (mostly) doesn’t eat them. I love that he’s imperfect and not Hollywood gorgeous and that he’s no one’s traditional idea of a leading man. I love his politics. I love that his definition of a good human bean is pretty in line with my own. I love his thin lips and his long eyelashes and his lime green shoes and purple shirts. I love that he’s weird. And sometimes really dorky. I just love him.

He has a pretty damn good body though tbh. You don’t look that thin on camera unless you really are thin. He had some chunky periods in the past, but not now. Hey, he’s an actor. He takes damn good care of himself. Whatever he’s doing, it works.

I think he looks better in those WTF stills than he ever has. Love that haircut and scruff on him!

My whole point was that he doesn’t have to have a “good body” to be beautiful and wonderful and sexy, and I happen to adore his “chunky periods.”

Like this is the total opposite of what I was saying.

I like all his periods as well. All I’m saying is he really IS incredibly good looking and fit, especially compared to your average person. His humor is the best thing about him though. And yes, I really like that he’s veg and liberal and pro animal rights.

bartimaeu2s:

Yesterday I was thinking about the final scene of Sherlock and I realized something.

What would an happy ending for the show be if Johnlock is not endgame: Sherlock and John back together in 221B, like the old times, BFF and bros, living their bachelor life together happy ever after. Maybe the closing scene will be just the two of them sitting peacefully in the living room, on their chair, two old friends.
Seemed possible to me, if they wanted to betray us and turn this amazing show in a massive queerbating piece of shit.

BUT

Then they showed us THIS ENDING SCENE. IN TAB.

And this is it. This is how it WOULD HAVE ENDED IF we were in the Victorian era. This is an happy ending for Vic!Sherlcok and John, but not for ours.
Plus they would not spoil us the happy ending of the show!

Now take this scene and think would would happen…

JOHNLOCK IS ENDGAME.

A Study in PINK

Call me slow, but the significance of the title of E1, “A Study in Pink”, just occurred to me. This has probably been discussed before and I missed it.

If you were Mark Gatiss and you had an exciting new project that was conceptualized as a modern day Sherlock Holmes, where the Holmes/Watson relationship could finally be realized as a true partnership in every sense of the word (and a love story arc to boot), in other words, a gay Sherlock Holmes, what else could you possibly call the pilot episode? A Study in Pink. It’s right there. Talk about obvious!

mathildalocks:

If this is not the worst manifestation of jealousy by John, I don’t know what is. Witnessing the sweet gesture between Sherlock and Janine, he pulls clueless Mary into a smooch for Sherlock to see. And mind you he gave a long kiss to Mary a second before this scene at the end of their waltz.

An underrated Jealous John (JJ) scene.

(goodnight lovely people)

OMG. So true. I hadn’t noticed this before. But that’s definitely a “I don’t care, I’m not jealous, after all I have my wife” reaction.
