Forgiveness sets us free to die in peace
Forgiveness Prepares Us For a Peaceful DeathMy Dear People,
Forgiveness Sets Us Free
Unforgiveness at the moment of death is what binds most people immediately to Purgatory. Only Divine Mercy exists in Heaven;not unforgiveness. Even little forgotten unforgivenesses keep us bound in suffering after death.
When my mom was dying in the final stages of cancer, she was in a coma. A
few days before her death, she was calling out for her oldest sister. I
knew immediately what needed to be done. I drove to my aunt's house many
miles away, picked her up,and drove her to visit with my mom. I told my
aunt all she had to do is to announce her presence with my mom. When my
aunt entered the room where my mom was in a coma, she told her that she
was here to say good bye.It was very moving, but it was enough to
bring peace to my mother. She did not call out for her older sister any
more after that visit. Whatever was unforgiven inside of my mom's heart
with her sister, was mended on that day before she died. Don't wait until your deathbed to start mending fences in your family. Ask Jesus to be the source and summit for forgiveness in your life. It will bring you a more peaceful death.Entrusting you to the care of Our Lady,
Fr. Mark Bozada
May we always be ready to forgive one another as Christ forgives us.

Palin to Hoffa: "Welcome, Union Brothers and Sisters"
Sarah Palin delivers a logical, rational response to the histrionic cries of Jimmy Hoffa - promising that union members are ready to be Obama's "army" and inciting them to "Take those sons-of-bitches out!"
America, you need to listen to this woman who is successfully articulating the conservative platform we need to turn this country back. Sarah's right - the corrupt crony capitalism that includes our political leaders and the big corporations the left cozies up to while berating them publicly - also include the top union bosses.
This leftist collusion between big government, big corporations and big unions - have only one thing in mind: to keep themselves in power. Does that mean you should trust Republicans over Democrats? Not by a long shot. The GOP is full of RINOs who - as Palin pointed out in her 9/3 Iowa speech - come to Washington with modest means and leave wealthy men and women.
We must find the true conservatives. We must stop allowing the Propaganda Press to define us and we must stop being bullied by the Bullier-in-Chief, who seems in his desperation (his poll numbers are record lows) to have set loose the hounds of war.
Time for close-minded people to stop, look and listen. Obama's rhetoric
about restoring the middle class is the biggest lie he has pulled on
the American people. He is destroying us while he feeds the poorest and
the wealthiest both. This is a sick system which Palin has properly
diagnosed.
And btw, Palin comes from a union family and was a union member herself. What about Obama and his circle of friends and advisers?
Please circulate this response far and wide.
Welcome, Union Brothers and Sistersby Sarah Palin on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 5:50am
In
my speech on Saturday in Iowa, I said: "Between bailouts for Wall
Street cronies and stimulus projects for union bosses' security and
'green energy' giveaways, [Barack Obama] took care of his friends. And
now they're on course to raise a billion dollars for his re-election bid
so that they can do it all over again." This was shamefully on display
yesterday at President Obama's taxpayer-funded campaign rally in
Detroit. In introducing the President, Teamsters President James Hoffa
represented precisely what I was talking about as he declared war on
concerned independent Americans and on the freshman members we sent to
Congress last November by saying, "Let's take these son-of-a-bitches
out!"What I say now, I say as a proud former union member
and the wife, daughter, and sister of union members. So, as a former
card-carrying IBEW sister married to a proud former Laborers, IBEW, and
later USW member, please hear me out. What I have to say is for the hard
working, patriotic, selfless union brothers and sisters in Michigan and
throughout our country: Please don't be taken in by union bosses'
thuggery like Jim Hoffa represented yesterday. Union bosses like this do
not have your best interests at heart. What they care about is their
own power and re-electing their friend Barack Obama so he will take care
of them to the detriment of everyone else.To the same
degree Americans are concerned about irresponsible, greedy corporate
execs who got cushy bonuses from taxpayer-funded bailouts, we should
also be concerned about greedy union bosses who are willing to tank our
economy just to protect their own power. As union history shows, power
and greed corrupt. Just because you claim to represent union members
doesn't mean you are on the side of the angels. The greed of too many of
these union bosses has all but destroyed the labor movement in this
country, helped chase away our jobs, and is killing the American dream. To
see where this leads, look at what's happening to the working class in
our industrialized cities. These cities are going to hell in a hand
basket thanks to corruption, crony capitalism, and the union bosses'
greed. The union bosses derive their power from your union dues and
their promise to deliver your votes to whichever politician they're in
bed with. They get their power from you, and yet their actions
ultimately hurt you. They're chasing American industry offshore by
making outrageous, economically illogical demands that they know will
never work. And now that they've chased jobs out of union states,
they're trying to chase them out of right-to-work states like South
Carolina, so eventually the jobs will leave America altogether. But
these union bosses will still figure out a way to keep their gig, and so
will their politically aligned corporate friends. As long as these big
corporations have a good crony capitalist in the White House, they can
rely on DC to bail them out until the whole system goes bankrupt, which,
I am afraid, is not very far off. When big government, big business,
and big union bosses collude together, they get government to maximize
their own interests against those of the rest of the country. So,
now these union bosses are desperately trying to cast the grassroots
Tea Party Movement as being "against the workingman." How outrageously
wrong this unapologetic Jim Hoffa is, for the people's movement is the
real movement for working class men and women. It's rooted in real
solidarity, and not special interests and corporate kickbacks. It
represents the needed reform that will empower workers and job creators.
We stand with the little guy against the corruption and influence
peddling of those who collude to grease the wheels of government power.Read more at Sarah Palin's Facebook page. Like and sign up as a friend.
Hoffa: "Let's take these sons of bitches out"
James Hoffa 'Let's Take These Son of a Bitches Out Video' RightFace.us
Besides the twisted logic - it is precisely Obama's policies that have encouraged corporations sending jobs overseas - there is the absolute hypocrisy that the Left is always accusing the right of rhetorical violence while it fans the flames of true physical violence.
The teamsters have a history of showing up at Tea Party rallies - bussed in all expenses paid - to incite violence.
The sad thing is that union members listen to people like Hoffa who've become rich from sucking up to the Democrats and using member dues to fund their campaigns. In exchange, the Dems promise forced unions on workers who'd rather keep their money to themselves.
And the lie is that there are just as many union workers in the Tea Party ranks - who really must hate seeing their dues go to fund this kind of craziness.
Another weekend gem: Biden At AFL-CIO Rally: "You Are The Only Folks Keeping The Barbarians From the Gates" (Video)
Hateful how they are using these people as pawns and whipping them up into a frenzy. No substance, no talk of policies - just juvenile name-calling and emotional incitement.
What would you expect of this dishonorable, double-standard regime?
White House Declines To Comment On Union Leader's Anti-Tea Party Rhetoric At Labor Day Rally
Of course, Obama will not condemn this hate speech. It's exactly what he wants.

Sperm donor madness

One Sperm Donor, 150 Offspring
By JACQUELINE MROZ
Published: September 5, 2011
Cynthia Daily and her partner used a sperm donor to conceive a baby
seven years ago, and they hoped that one day their son would get to know
some of his half siblings -- an extended family of sorts for modern
times.
DATA KEEPER Wendy Kramer, who had
her son through a donor, started a registry to help families learn about
a child's half siblings.
So Ms. Daily searched a Web-based registry for other children fathered
by the same donor and helped to create an online group to track them.
Over the years, she watched the number of children in her son's group
grow.
And grow.
Today there are 150 children, all conceived with sperm from one donor,
in this group of half siblings, and more are on the way. "It's wild when
we see them all together -- they all look alike," said Ms. Daily, 48, a
social worker in the Washington area who sometimes vacations with other
families in her son's group.
As more women choose to have babies on their own, and the number of children born through artificial insemination
increases, outsize groups of donor siblings are starting to appear.
While Ms. Daily's group is among the largest, many others comprising 50
or more half siblings are cropping up on Web sites and in chat groups,
where sperm donors are tagged with unique identifying numbers.Read more at New York Times
Maddy raids the pantry

Gone 10 days that felt like a month. I never wrote about it because life was still very, very busy here. Tripp took her to orientation. We weren't able to find a babysitter and I'd taken her to all the previous activities, so as much as I wanted to go, I wanted her dad to go more.
He said orientation was very well structured. Studying the program the night before, I felt it was set up as much (or more) to help parents through the letting go process as to acclimate the students to their new environment. Tripp said he saw many people crying that day. It is a hard thing to say good-bye to one era of your child's life and move on to the next. Even if you've already done it seven times.

She's had a great time so far - loves the girls in her dorm and is enthusiastic about her friends and her classes and all the cultural activities available in DC. Plus the opportunity to be surrounded by like-minded people. One night she and a group of friends watched Bizet's Carmen - the Metropolitan Opera's stunning production from last year which we had seen at Movies at the Met.
She also auditioned for the fall opera and was the only freshman to make it. In Suor Angelica, she has a solo as the Infirmary Nurse, and is not double cast. This is quite an honor.
So she's happy, but since they had today off, she decided to come home and see everyone.
Which brings me to the point of the picture. Maybe some of you already know what this is because you've seen similar gathering behavior when your girls come home from college (my boys never did this, though they were known to take their dad's shirts and socks sometimes).
So what you see above is Maddy's Take Back to School supplies - cinammon, honey, sugar to facilitate her tea habit and and Allerest for her allergies (CU is a very green campus. Though it's in the heart of the city and has a relatively small student population, it sits on more acres. Even though we live in the country, I guess there are a bunch of new allergens for her to get used to (which is why honey produced locally is always best for allergies - God's provision and all things working together according to plan). Allergies are the bane of a singer's existence.
We had to laugh, because Big Sis Sophia has been doing this type of foraging whenever she comes home and Maddy had always cast a skeptical eye on the practice, not resentful but kind of like, "Why does she do this? This is so weird."
So welcome to the club, Maddy!
