The Wonders of a Good Night's Sleep

Picture 48 hours since our last blog, and guess what? I already made some changes to the manuscript of my new release! Yup, woke up this morning with a couple ideas, and noticed another "oops".

The good news, I hadn't clicked to order my second round of proofs so I can cancel those. Once the publisher ends the current revisions in the system, I can upload the PDF with the corrections and updates.

In addition to these, I had the idea to create a supplemental to partner with this resource too. So as I sit at the VA hospital today with my Dad for appointments, I'll work on this in hopes of releasing both at the same time. The Holy Spirit is moving and it is fun!

Have a great Thursday everyone!
How has the Holy Spirit Inspired You lately?

T.O.P.'s Tuesday: A New Release Soon

Picture Hello! How are you this week? I have exciting news to share with you, I have a new book releasing in the near future.

I continue to enjoy being an Epicure Consultant and manage the other commitments in my life. In order to keep home, school, work, Epicure, and relaxation organized, I NEED a system.

Prior to school starting, I didn't have a system yet because my days and evenings weren't jam packed so I kicked off my business with 100% of my attention and energy. As the school year progressed I attended Zoom trainings, researched and tried different systems to grow my Epicure business and stay organized. Out of all these trial and errors, I started to figure out what works for me, and what doesn't.

I dedicated time to creating a system to get organized, help with meal planning, and grow my business...simultaneously. This book, Planning for Success: Keeping it Real, offers you a variety of organization tools in one place. The first proof arrived Saturday and it was fun to check it out. I carried it with me and checked it a few times before sitting down to make notes and markings.

The second draft will be off to the editor this week and once the next proof arrives, I'll be ready to share more about this new release. If you are looking to step up your meal planning, organize your dates, and grow your direct sales business, this is something you should try. Until next week, keep up the hard work!
If you are in direct sales,
how do you see this benefiting you?

T.O.P.'S Tuesday: Summer Series Week 1

[image error] Good day everyone!  I know Summer doesn't officially being for a few weeks but it's time to focus on warmer and brighter days. As our school year winds down in central New York, many are planning summer vacations, getaways, and childcare. Then there is me...I'm looking at my calendar and goal setting.

I am blessed to have a career working with our local school district so I utilize my summer to mentally unwind, relax, and WRITE!

This summer will be different than others because in addition to achieving my writing goals, I plan to continue growing my Epicure business and personal team. Both of these will require consistency, focus, and clarity. My goal for this last week of May is to determine where I I hope and need to be to reach my year-end goals. Personally, my idea of relaxation is to spend hours in my writing cottage, on the back deck, and in the kitchen. The beauty in this, spending time in the kitchen melds well with my Epicure business so when I relax in the kitchen, I'm still working my Epicure business.

My hope is to share my summer goals with you on next week's T.O.P.'s Tuesday. While you wait to hear my goals, I encourage you to set some goals of your own. Feel free to share in the comments below. The reason I'll share with all of you and I hope you'll share here is because when you share with others, you are more likely to succeed. When someone else knows what we are planning and our goals, they are there to hold us accountable. Get ready to enjoy, relax, and succeed this summer!
Are you ready to be and do more this summer?
Determine where you want to be in 3 months
then start setting your goals!

What Blessings Can You Share today?

“Everyone who is alive can find something to be grateful for if they look for it.
If you are among the few that can’t find anything,
start with the fact that you are ALIVE and continue from there.
Counting ones blessings is a barometer of mental health.

― Gudjon Bergmann from:
The Seven Human Needs: A practical guide to finding harmony and balance in everyday life Picture Blessings...As I wrote this word, the song, "Count your Blessings", from White Christmas came to mind. Maybe it is because I'm writing this late at night when I'm normally in bed, or maybe it's because I just watched White Christmas last week. Yes, I like to watch Christmas movies during the year, they are uplifting and full of hope. But I digress.

Last week I encouraged you to share WHO you are thankful. This week I hope to keep the positivity going as we flood the comments with how you have been blessed this week. Personally, each day I wake up is a blessing because God's granted me another day to share hope and joy with others. I'm blessed to have a job that offers me the opportunity to use my creativity and invest in the next generations. Each day there are things I am able to see God working in and through to bless me, even when things aren't going great, God is there and so are His Blessings.

If you struggle to come up with a blessing to share, close your eyes and quiet your mind. What is the first thing that comes to mind? How has this impacted you in a positive way? How does this situation, activity, event, person, or happening show you that you are blessed? The more you focus on the blessings, the easier it becomes to see them. May you be blessed as you count your blessings.

I'd ask you to list how God blessed you today in the comments but we'd run out of room,
so share one or two!

We all know the list could go on for eternity...

Savory SAturday: Week 1

Picture Happy Saturday everyone! How are you doing on this beautiful first Saturday of May? I'm going to try a new weekly blog to share some of the recipes I've made during the past week during my Epicure LIVE Cooking Demos and cooking classes. They are so much fun and the food taste great!

In addition to the great flavors, Epicure's cookware and seasonings save you time in the kitchen so you have more time with your family.
Last week I made Epicure's:
*Thai Coconut Soup
*Brownies with Caramel Sauce
*Crispy and Crunchy Lettuce Wrap Seasoning
*Chicken Kabobs with Roitsserie Chicken Seasoning packet
*Chicken Kabobs with Roasted Garlic Aioli Seasoning

Since July 2020 I spend my evenings and weekends doing live cooking demos on my Facebook page, Keeping it Real Cooking with Lisa. If you want to learn more about Epicure and how you can save time in the kitchen while preparing meals without gluten, nuts, high fructose syrup, artificial colors, artificial flavors, and both sugar and sodium conscience...then follow my Keeping it Real Cooking Page. I share a live cooking demo every Monday at 5 p.m. EST on this page. In addition, I also have some videos on my YouTube channel, One Sister's Journey Keeping it Real.

If you are looking to invest in your health, and your families health, while saving time in the kitchen, I hope you'll join me for a live cooking demo on a Monday. If you can't make it, no worries, I save the videos so you can go back and watch them when you have time. Epicure provides me the opportunity to do all the things I enjoy while still eating healthy, most meals can be prepared from "raw to ready in 20 minutes or less". There is no need to stop for fast food on the way home when Epicure is in the pantry. Epicure is Good Food, Real Fast.  Do you have a family favorite that you wish had less sodium with less preservatives and high in flavor?
I thought so...

No need to look further, check out Epicure.
There are links to all the meals I prepared above!
