It was the chafing dish’s fault, dang it! Now she needs a good lawyer, stat. But where to find one? All work and no play make Ethan Vaughn a very sad and lonely lawyer. Not to mention horny. He really shouldn’t have agreed to help his best friend’s wife’s bestie with her imbroglio. Now she’s remanded on bail––and living in his house. The woman is a walking, talking category five hurricane. And considering his track record with women, he needs to stay as far away from this one as possible. Problem is, he just can’t seem to make himself.

REVIEW
I loved the first book by Dangelico. In fact, I went on and on about that book and couldn't give enough stars. This book, however, had me shaking my head and scratching it at the same time. Don't get me wrong...I LOVED the characters and the premise. I even loved the story that was told, but I didn't love the inconsistencies of the characters of Ethan and Amber. There were some sex scenes in this once they started having sex at like 70% but then they didn't really add up to the characters. Ethan turned into a kinky dude who was demanding? I just see it. Amber, I could see being that way and being demanding, but Ethan....just no. I loved this book - don't get me wrong. I just didn't love it as much as the first book. I hope that it also has several rounds of editing before it goes to press. I didn't take off anything for that because I know when you're given an ARC you're agreeing that it's not proofed and this book needed it...with a red marker. What I love about the author is her sense of humor and her one-liners because some of them are abso-freaking-lutely hilarious!!! Overall, this book for me was worth the time and effort and I will automatically have this author on my TBR list right at the top!!!

I didn't think that Lani Lynn Vale could do Baseball as well as she could do MC romances but boy was I WRONG!!!  She hit it out of the park.  She got a home run on this one.  Pitch please reminded me of the show with Mark Paul Gosselaar where he played a Catcher in Pitch and I LOVED every second of it.  It had an Alpha male that was to die for....a strong female who knew her baseball - because after all, her brother was also a player and then because she also had a Fathead of Hancock "Parts" Peters in her spare room.  Sway was a little different, but also a lot like other heroines in the author's books.  She's strong, independent and funny.  She's got baggage in the way of a vengeful ex.  She's a little on the overweight side, but who cares when a giant six foot five behemoth of a baseball player wants you.  I found Hancock to be a sweetheart under his superstitions and rituals because if you every knew a real ball player - they have those!!!  I think next I want the author to tackle Hockey because she'd rock at that.  What were a couple of things I loved about this:
1.  The author was out of her wheelhouse and did a really great job of it.
2.  We learned about the intricacies of baseball and the behind the scenes.
3.  Hancock has a brother and we need more of him.
4.  Maybe we know who he is already...hmmm?
5.  The author has proven she can write ANYTHING and I will meet her one day and buy them ALL!
6.  Bring on more!!!
Again, if you love Baseball and Alpha hero's - you'll love Sway because even though she's not one for confrontation...she's a kickass heroine and the author did her justice.  The same with Hancock - She made this character likable and lickable...just saying!!!  Buy the first and last season of Pitch and binge while you read this book....sooooo goood!!!!

The one weak spot in his plan is in his heart––Skye gets under his skin like no other woman has and she's not going to let him take all the danger on his shoulders alone. But when she's caught in the crossfire Finn has to decide whether to follow his heart or his carefully crafted plan to not only clean up the town but heal his soul. 
This was a very fast paced, on the go book. Kind of kept you on the edge of your seat and didn't let go. For fans of Suzanne Brockmann, I would say that you'd love this book. It was deep when you needed it to be and light when you wanted it to be. My favorite line of all was:
 "I'm going to kill a man for you." 
Well, who wouldn't swoon at that. I sure would and did!!! Skye was a unicorn heroine and Finn just nailed it as an Alpha hero. Together they were perfect! This is a book I'll definitely read more than once.

“D’you mind if I sit?” I ask gently. I want her to feel like she has control. If she asked me to leave, I would. I need her to trust me enough to open up. I already assumed it’d be hard, but two seconds in her room is enough to tell it’s going to be a mountain of a task.
The girl gives one short, sharp bob of her head, and I scan the room for a safe place to sit. A lone chair set by her window has a white plastic seat and metal legs. It looks uncomfortable as hell for a piece of furniture in a hospital room, but it’ll do. Forcing myself to go slow, I cross the room and drop my ass into it. I drop my elbows to my knees and lean forward, clasping my hands together.
“I’m Niko.” She doesn’t respond. By her stare and the steady rise and fall of her shoulders, I’d guess she’s concentrating on breathing. “I thought we could talk. Is that okay with you?”
She nods again.
“Can I get you something to drink?” This time, she gives a punctuated shake. Okay, so she’s good with using nonverbal communication. That’s a start at least. I can work with yes-or- no questions.
“Do you know where you are?”
Her gaze flits to the open door and the hall beyond. Once again, I’m left staring at the state of disfigurement this woman has been left in. It’s obvious these are signs of abuse, but from who? Her pimp? Was she attacked for trying to leave that life? A victim of domestic violence? Could she be connected to the person who took Rebecca?
I don’t realize I’m staring until she shakes her head again, and the movement pulls me from my thoughts. I trail my eyes over her wounds again, and the sight makes me sick. I grind my back molars together to get ahold of myself. Once I feel calm, I ask another question.
“Do you know your name?”
She shakes her head. Damn. I try a different route. “Do you know how you got all these cuts?”At my words, she glances down at her arms. She runs her right index finger over a spot of dried blood on her right thigh. “Yes,” she croaks in a quiet voice that startles me.
“Can you tell me how?”
“All of them.” She goes on as if I didn’t speak.
I try to keep my expression neutral but I’m confused. “All of them? What do you mean?”
“I know how I got all of them.” She faces me with a blank stare. “I remember them all.” The sound of her voice sends a shiver down my spine. Monotone and quiet, it reminds me of nothing. That void of hopelessness. Of no going back.
“Who did this to you?” I prod gently.
She shakes her head again, and my stomach sinks. “I can’t remember. I remember the shadow man and the screaming girl. And the pain,” she goes on in a hollow voice. “I remember being hurt, but not who did it.
