Die Welt unter der Lupe - zu Lande: Ausmalen und durchatmen
I ADORE this book!! It's not a big book...in fact, it's kind of a smaller book and at first I was kind of disappointed but as I started looking through the book and coloring a flower I began to see the awesomeness. The paper has the right tooth, the right size to it and it's easy to finish a page but also easy to start and stop at a minutes notice. I really loved this artist's style and someone else mentioned the thicker black lines - I actually love those!! I think it gives the pages character. This is definitely not a JB type coloring book and if you're looking for "her type" this isn't it. Rita Berman has her own style that's unique to her and her alone and although I've only just now expanded to reviewing Coloring books, I can say that Ms. Berman did an amazing job to make each page different and special.

The Forever Girl by Jill ShalvisMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is a return to the Wildstone world that Jill Shalvis created and I always love coming back to that. This is book 6 in the series and it's about Maze and Walker. Jill describes this as "When Maze returns to Wildstone for the wedding of her estranged bff and the sister of her heart, it’s also a reunion of a once ragtag team of teenagers who had only each other until a tragedy tore them apart and scattered them wide."
I found this book to be about friendships, both those that needed to end in my opinion and those that needed nurturing. I found a group of people who had grown apart because that's what life does when we grow up - it pulls us in different directions and I found a new love or maybe it was a love that was always there.
I usually NEVER give away anything in my reviews and this will be no different. What I found different about what Mrs. Shalvis writes is that she writes several stories in one and makes you feel, as the reader as if you're really in that world. I love the world she's created and whereas some other author continue series and have continuity issues - she doesn't because she doesn't repeatedly have the same book over and over. It's always refreshing. I respect that and I applaud that. It isn't sloppy and it shows that her books aren't uniform which is why she doesn't put out 6 or 8 books a year. We, as readers appreciate the originality.

Repeat Offender Souls Chapel Revenants MC Book 1 Lani Lynn Vale Release Date: January 12, 2021
About the BookLynnwood Thatcher Windsor has lived a lot of lies. Seen a lot of good men go down.
But he will not stand by and watch as the world he’s built from the ground up burns to ashes before his eyes. Even if he has to build an army to combat the problem he sees brewing around him.
One step at a time, he carefully lays out his plan, building layer after careful layer until everything is where he wants it to be.
Every part is impeccably played, his pawns are in the perfect place, and then she barrels into his life, totally scattering every single piece he’s set in motion.
The bad thing is, she doesn’t even realize how badly she’s messed up until she’s roused the beast.
***
The day that Six Ines Broussard met Lynnwood Thatcher Windsor was the worst day of her life.
First, she has a public breakup with a man she’s not even dating. Second, she has to deal with a black-tie event that she’d rather gouge her eyes out than to go to. Third, she then has to sit at a table for hours on end with the one man she despises.
Just wanting a break, she thinks she’ll lose herself for a few hours and do what she loves to do best—spend time by herself and go for a walk in the middle of nowhere, spot some birds, and get a little sun. Only, her day doesn’t go nearly as planned.
She walks right into the middle of hell. And at the center of it? Lynnwood Thatcher. The mayor. The man that she took one glance at on the night of his inauguration and dismissed as boring. A total stick in the mud.
Only, he’s not so boring shirtless, in the middle of nowhere, doing things that are very illegal.
At first, she’s appalled. Then her interest gets piqued. Stuck-up suit is hot! And he has tattoos. Oh, and let’s not forget one hell of a mouth on him!
Then he goes and kidnaps her, and she realizes that nobody is quite as hot as you thought they were when they’re now holding you hostage.

So LLV had already said that these books were gonna be about good guys who do bad things for good reasons and she wasn't joking. Lynn was a good guy who did some bad things, but he had good reasons for doing them. He seemed to be one of those guys that could pretty much get into anywhere, at anytime for anything and no one really knew why but certain people. I, personally love Lynn and waited for years for his story and it was right up there with Silas and Ghost story. Six was a perfect heroine for him because she gave no cares what people thought of her and she let it be known to anyone who wanted to know. I loved that and I wished I was more like her. As with LLV's books, this book had some twists and turns that you just didn't see coming and I'm not one to do spoilers so I'm not saying😉 All I will say is what a way to start the new year off!! Great job!!

About the Book
It was the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring…nope. No. Nuh-uh. That’s a lie.
The moment that Caro wakes up, she knows that she’s not alone.
One thump-thump from the living room and she quickly moves into action.
One 9-1-1 call later, and she’s ready to defend herself.
Only, she gets more than she bargains for when she steps out into her living room and comes face to face with a living, breathing nightmare.
And isn’t it just fitting that the man that saves her by coming down the chimney with a large black gun in his hand is named Saint Nicholas?
***
It seemed like the start of a bad joke.
Saint Nicholas comes down the chimney on Christmas Eve night, but he isn’t there to bear gifts. He’s there to take out the trash.
When he lands on his silent feet, he has no other choice but to put himself in harm’s way.
One look at Caro’s terrified face, and he can’t stop himself.
He steps in just as the bullets start flying, saving the damsel in distress and taking a bullet to the shoulder for his trouble.
But one thing he can say is, heroes always win the girl.
And Caro is the best Christmas miracle of all.

This was a fitting ending for this series. I loved Caro and Saint and their story. I loved knowing about Saint's background as a President's kid and growing up with a secret service protection detail. This book starts out with a "pandemic" scare and Caro and Saint have to be quarantined for 3 weeks at Christmastime. I, personally loved this book and would recommend everyone read it with the series. It was awesome to me and Saint was my favorite.

I am so glad I got an ARC of this by Jewel Ann because I've only read a handful of really good books this year and this one was on my list to read. This was an older woman and younger man book that I'd had my eye on because so often it's the opposite that's written about - I don't know why when we read the books and we're older!! I don't want to read about a young girl and older guy lol, so to switch it really made me like it even more. Elsie was a likeable character, as was Kael even though at first I didn't want to like him. It felt like a chore to like him, but I did. If you like books that are well-written and have wonderful development...then this is the book for you. If you love plot driven characters and storylines, then you'll love this book.

Secrets, desires, and exquisite pie. It’s all in a day’s work at The Company.
Growing up, I was the rough guy from the wrong neighborhood who couldn’t catch a break. Posy was the pampered girl I tried to impress. But I managed to steal only a single kiss before I had to skip town.
Now I’m back, and the tables are turned. Posy runs a struggling pie shop. I’m the VP of a secretive billion dollar security company.
Not that I can tell her.
There’s a murderer on the loose in New York, and he seems to spend a lot of time at Posy’s shop. I can’t let on that I’m here to bring him down before he can harm a hair on her pretty head.
Going undercover as Posy’s new barista wasn’t my idea. I don’t even drink coffee. But now I have to call her “boss,” and do everything the curvy perfectionist asks of me. I’d forgotten how much we infuriate each other, and that she somehow fills me with both irritation and desire in the same breath.
There’s nobody more skilled at stealth ops than me. I can bring this killer down. Right after I take a cold shower. And just as soon as I figure out how to make a skinny peppermint latte with milk poured in the shape of a kitten...

Excerpt
The front door swings open, and the never-ending nightmare that is this day smacks me in the face like a long-expired sausage. Kodiak stands in the doorway wearing only a pair of swim shorts, wet hair sticking out all over the place, water dripping on the damn floor. But God, is he ever glorious. Muscle layered over muscle, thick biceps flexing as he holds the doorjamb, a mischievous grin popping the dimple in his left cheek.
My heart seizes and gallops. I miss this version of him: the one that smiles and doesn’t hate me.
He ruins everything a moment later by bellowing, “Who’s fucking in the driveway?”
His gaze moves to Dylan, who looks as horrified as I feel, but as it shifts to me, his smile drops and my stomach tightens.
“You should really go,” I tell Dylan.
“I’ll see you around.” He disappears into his car and barely has the door closed before he’s backing out of the driveway and screeching down the street.
I adjust my backpack on my shoulder and head for the house, steeling my spine and my nerves because Kodiak is still standing in the middle of the doorway, his face a mask of indifference. I try to brush by him, but he stays where he is, making it impossible.
I sigh, exhausted beyond belief. I just want to go upstairs and have a good, cathartic cry. I try to mirror his apathy. “Can you move so I can get into my house?”
His brow furrows as his eyes move over my face. He lifts his hand, like maybe he’s thinking about touching me. There’s no way I can handle that. I jerk back and swat his hand away. “What are you doing?”
“Your lip is bleeding.”
“Don’t act like you actually give a shit, Kodiak.”
“Tell me what happened.” His voice is low and soft, and for whatever reason, that makes me even angrier, so I lash out, wanting to wound him the way he keeps wounding me.
“You, Kodiak. You happened, and you ruined my goddamn life. Now get the hell out of my way.” I elbow past him, almost tripping over several sets of running shoes.
I head straight for my bedroom and lock the door behind me. I slide down the wall until my butt hits the floor and close my eyes, taking deep breaths.
I imagined the concern in his voice.
I imagined the pain that sat heavy behind his eyes.
We see what we want to, not the truth, especially when it hurts.

This was a really great book and it took me out of reality for just a little while, which is what I needed. It was different than what I thought it would be, but just as good as all her other books. I really prefer her writing this way. Everyone should pick this one up!! I'm not giving any spoilers as I never do.
