SO GOOD!!! 😍😍😍
I have got to stop reading teasers for the next book before I write my review for the book I just finished. I’m emotionally wrung out from a couple of pages and DESPERATE for more information about Love for Beginners.
The Forever Girl was bloody good but it was also pretty sad. Maze, the troublemaker, Caitlin, the bossy boots, Heather, the terrible secret keeper, and Walker, the Bond … a wee bit James Bond and a lot, bonding agent keeping them all connected. These guys are not blood ...more

You may not believe this, especially me being a self proclaimed angst-addict, but I do read non-angsty books. Sometimes. Not often. And when I do, Jill Shalvis is my go to.

The Forever Girl , Jill Shalvis' new book, is a story of friendship, family, love, and honesty.
Once they were all a family. Heather, Walker, and Maze were all foster children taken in by Caitlin’s parents, and they were inseparable. Then tragedy tore them apart and they went their separate ways. But while some reunited or at least kept tabs on one another, Maze has always kept everyone at arm’s length.

I really enjoyed this contemporary romance. It dealt with tragedy, heartbreak, family, friendship, second chances, and love. The writing of Jill Shalvis created a roller coaster ride of emotions that made this layered tale engaging, humorous, tear jerking and so very heart warming.

This was fantastic! It is no secret that I have been a fan of Jill Shalvis's writing for a while so I was really eager for the chance to read this newest installment in the Wildstone series. We return to the Wildstone Series, with book six; The Forever Girl giving us Maze, Walker & Caitlin's stories. Family though not through blood, as Maze and Walker were fostered by Cat's parents in their teens, but one night, one housefire and one death irreparably tears them apart, the effects still being felt and dealt with by each of them, especially as they are forced into a week of close proximity by Cat for the build up to her wed ...more

I am a huge Shalvis fan. So when asked to review this book I jumped on it. It can be read as a stand alone but it is the sixth book in the Wildstone series.
The writing is wonderful and so realistic and the characters are easy yo connect with.
I gave this book 4 stars and I recommend this series.

I’ve had this story read and ready to review for a while now, but I couldn’t quite figure out how to say what I wanted to say without 1) going into details that would give away the plot and 2) sounding like I didn’t like/enjoy the book. But time is up and it is release day so …
I’m not to sure this story even comes close to romance fiction, even tho there is a romantic element, because it is overshadowed by everything else that is happening in the book. If you’re a Shalvis fan and have read this ...more

Cat was determined to reunite her "family". After years of separation, the foster-siblings were summoned back to Wildstone for Cat's wedding. Once back together, they were flooded with a mix of emotions regarding their past, present, and future together as they worked to rebuild the relationships they previously shared.
I know I say this in all my Shalvis reviews, but I have read over 30 of her books, and she never fails to make me laugh, smile, and swoon. Once again, I was back in Wildstone, fe ...more

The Forever Girl is a feel-good-romance of epic proportions! There are characters that are bent but not broken, relationships that need to be mended, and a family that need to find their way back together.

There seems to be a pattern when it comes to Jill Shalvis books for me now. Sometimes, I really like her books and they are a huge hit for me. But then another one comes out and it seems to be a miss.
For me, THE FOREVER GIRL didn’t continue the excitement from the last book of the series. Although this is the sixth book in the Wildstone series, you can definitely read this on its own. I just found that I didn’t quite connect with the characters like I have with other Shalvis books. I find th ...more

What’s your favorite series? Wildstone is definitely one of mine and every time I read a new installment I’m reminded just how freaking good these books are. They’re full of heart, snarky humor/banter, hope and they always have some sort of emotional component that pulls on my heartstrings.
The Forever Girl is the latest book in the series, they are all able to read on their own as they’re just set in the same town but follow entirely new characters. I started at like book 4 and then went back l ...more

The Wildstone series is great for introducing a motley crew who all have to navigate with wounded past and strong emotions. In this novel, grief kept away four foster siblings but the wedding of the oldest will bring them back together.
I didn't take many notes for this book but I noted many quotes that I like so here's a few:
"She hadn't needed the shrink from Child Protective Services to tell her it was because she'd never really had a sense of belongin ...more

I am a softy when it comes to a second-chance romance, especially one that also crosses with a reconnection with old friend, who are more like family. Which is just what I got with The Forever Girl and I loved all the time I spent with Maze, Cat, Heather, and Walker.
And while The Forever Girl is a wonderful, smart, sexy redo of Maze and Walker’s romance, it’s also so much more. It’s a celebration of friendship and accepting each other’s faults and forgiving each other for past hurts.

The Forever Girl easily became one of my favorite Jill Shalvis books! Secrets came to light, family and friendship were tested and through it all was the most breathtaking bond between this group of people. Watching the story unfold, it felt as though these characters reached into my heart and wouldn't let go. And while I cried three different times, there was so much hope and love splashed across those pages. If you're a fan of Jill Shalvis, romance or stories where friendship is family, then d

4.5 stars. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book early. This is my favorite in the Wildstone series- I enjoyed it so much!! This book is about Maze. She is returning to Wildstone for her estranged sister's wedding. She is one of 3 foster children that were apart of a family with 2 biological children. The biological children were Caitlin (the one getting married) and Michael who died at the age of 9. The foster children all came in at different ages but w

The Forever Girl is a moving story about the bonds that are created by our chosen families rather than blood relatives. Maze, Walker and Heather are foster children taken in by Caitlin's parents. A terrible tragedy occurs a year after Maze and Walker join the family that splits them apart. Caitlin is getting married and has invited all of them to spend time with her the week before her wedding.

I love this series and its seaside setting. In this sixth book we meet Maze, Heather, Walker and Caitlin as they gather graveside. Something they have done yearly since they separated after that fateful night. There is tension and guilt. But we gain a glimpse of their bond, personalities, and love for one another.
Fast forward and the group is coming together for Caitlin’s wedding. Cat can’t stand that they have become estranged, but she has a plan to rekindle their bonds.

This one was a doozy, lots of drama in this family, drama that split them up when they needed each other the most and when most of them had no other support. It didn't help that they never really dealt with the drama of the past that was at the bottom of everything.
I liked that Cat forced everyone to come to her wedding and how she fooled them all into spending more time. During that time everyone seemed to remember how much they loved each other, a great thing. Then as the wedding came close a ...more

The Forever Girl by Jill Shalvis is a standalone story in the Wildstone series, and a story of second chances. For one year a family took in 3 foster children, Heather, Maze and Walker, and raised them with their own two, Caitlin and Michael, until a fire destroyed their home and took their youngest. Michael’s death broke the family apart. Now years later, they are getting back together for Caitlin’s wedding and there is a lot of apprehension about this reunion from all parties. Cat is on the fe

This is (what I imagine) may be the start of a new series for Shalvis. I have to admit, the beginning prologue was confusing for me because all the main characters were introduced at one time and a big back story was known by them all but not the reader. It took me a while to "get" what was going on.
