******************************************  A few thoughts about Locke and Cassidy and this book...at first I was totally confused.  I'm not going to lie.  I am not familiar with the Titan series so I went into it blind and I probably shouldn't have.  I usually do better homework and try to catch up but I didn't.  That being said, I totally caught up and got my bearings within a couple chapters.  I liked having a strong heroine.  She wasn't a pushover.  She didn't take any junk and she stood her ground.  Locke was what every alpha male should be.  I liked the side story in this also.  The one thing that was a little bit of a distraction for me was all the internal dialogue but again, it wasn't enough of a distraction for me to really even say this isn't a 4.5 Star read.  I love Cristin Harber and her books are always detailed and thorough, and this was no exception.  It's an awesome addition to the Titan World.  I would really rate this more of a 4.5 than a 4 and it's worth reading.  I can't wait to read Victoria's story, even though I haven't read the others...that's just how much I loved the side characters.  If you love the Titans and Cristin, then you'll pick this up!!

Being adopted never made Jane Smith feel unloved, just unlike the rest of her family. As her twenty-fifth birthday approaches, she is struck by an overwhelming longing to finally find her place in the world. So, in a very un-Jane-like move, she books a last-minute ticket to Greece to find her birth father and the real Jane. All she knows about him is that he was a tour guide named Dimitri. Armed with this knowledge and several surprise boxes of condoms from her mom (not embarrassing at all), Jane takes off.
Within minutes of landing she makes two important discoveries. First, everyone in Greece is named Dimitri, and second, fate might be playing a sick joke on her when a sexy tour guide called Dimitri comes to fetch her from the airport. After failing to find concrete information about her father, Dimitri offers to help Jane with her search – if she’ll go on an adventure with him. Stable Jane would never risk a steamy vacation romance, but real Jane might finally be ready to listen to her heart. Will Jane find her biological father, or will she end up finding something else entirely?

Excerpt“Just in case.” He repeated the words and they sounded so loaded.
In case what? In case I decided to lose all common sense, judgment, control, my mind (although that was already up for debate) and call you for a midnight beach romp. I’ll be sure to bring my watch so I can take note of how long it takes you to make me start screaming your name in wild ecstasy…Oh God, that sounded good!
I took a large step back. He took a large step forward. Back. Forward. Then he leaned in again. Holy Crap! He was coming in for that double-cheek kiss again and I wasn’t sure I’d be able to remain cool and calm and controlled this time.  Only he didn’t. He did something far, far more odd and unsettling. He pulled my sunglasses off, placed them in the same hand as the card and then closed my fingers around them. He squeezed my hand closed while looking into my eyes in a way that rattled me to my very core.
My head started spinning and suddenly I felt a tad unsteady. I hoped to hell that I wasn’t about to be knocked off my feet by my raging hormones and fall into his arms. He gave my hand one last squeeze, and then… he was gone!
What the hell did that mean? You can’t just take off a person’s glasses, put them in their hands, stare into their eyes meaningfully and then mysteriously walk away without saying a word. What the hell was he playing at?
And why was it so hard to keep myself from falling for it?
Guest Post from the awesome Jo Watson
Five funny things you do to prepare your manuscript for final print (they don't have to be funny).

I'm not sure about this. There is so much you do before your book comes out, during the writing and editing process as well as the long wait for publication day.
1. Edit and edit and edit and edit and edit and edit- I'm obsessive and can get stuck on a single sentence for hours, debating the best word to use in it. It's completely ridiculous and totally counterproductive actually, but I'm still a new author and have quite a lot of insecurities and uncertainties when writing. So I can really get stuck on things- for far too long.
2. The wait from handing in your final proofs to publication day is usually a nightmare. Maybe it would be easier for a patient person, but I'm not. The date always looms and the closer you get to it, the slower the days seem to tick by. Like right now. I've been waiting for this book to come out since forever (well, it feels like that anyway)
3. I usually have a friend, Jessica read through my work and give me feedback before handing it over to my publishers. Jessica used to work for me and she's now my go-to girl when it comes to giving feedback on my books and helping me edit them.
4. Pester my husband. A lot. My husband has helped me with all my books- he's a bit of an ideas genius. He's in advertising and has this uncanny ability to come up with millions of brilliant ideas in a matter of seconds. I always run my thoughts by him and we do a lot of bouncing back and forth. He's helped me come up with some of the best ideas for my books. You can get stuck when writing sometimes and often need an outside eye to help you snap out of it. And he does that. He snaps me.
5. I guess chew and pick at my nails. I'm a nervous nail picker and my nails seem to get shorter and shorter as my publication day gets closer and closer.

Title: Free BallerSeries: Bad Boy Ballers #2Author: Rie WarrenGenre: Sports RomanceRelease Date: May 1, 2017

Blurb
Brooklyn Holt, Carolina Crush’s top tight end, made a vow after his wife left him: never fall in love again. He doesn’t need a long-term lady. Hell no. He has the magic hands, the downfield rushes, the easy chicks by the dozens. And finally a team on a winning streak.
Being a free agent with the ladies is exactly what Brooks wants. Until Delaney Jones happens. The hot bitch with the serious attitude shows up with her own team in pretty much half the uniform he wears. Quarterback of the all-female Carolina Cougars, she’s sleek as a racehorse, mean on the field, and immune to all his moves. Every time she gives him no time just makes him hungrier for her.
Delaney Jones takes her work and her personal life seriously, and she’ll never be mistaken for a cheerleader, in spite of her athletic body. She’s never rah-rah’d with her pom-poms for any man—hunky, hot as hell tight end or otherwise.
Brooklyn Holt has swagger. He has strut. But Delaney isn’t about to be the free baller’s willing slut. Until she scratches the surface and discovers his wounds run as deep as hers and his heart is warmer than she’d ever thought. It’s just too bad the past won’t die. When the danger she’s run from for years catches up to her, she’s determined to keep Brooks out of the crossfire. Even if it means Game Over.

Excerpt
“HEY, DELANEY.” I SMILED easily, holding my hands out to my sides. “’S’okay if I join you?”“Just for a game of hoops?” The gold-flecks in her irises turned almost black as she walked toward me. “Yeah.”“You’re on.” She shoved the ball at me. I dribbled between my legs then raced off to the other end of the court. Four pumps of my legs and I swished that motherfucker in nothing but net. Delaney wasted no time retrieving the basketball. She dodged every one of my lunges, heading down court like a missile. She made a three-pointer from the line. She was hotter than anything I’d ever seen.A real tomboy, with a banging body and a great rack. And the woman dazzled me enough that I forgot to catch the rebound when the ball bounced on the floor. As she double-dribbled in front of me, I watched a drizzle of sweat slide down her neck. Gulp.“Play b-ball in high school?” I asked when I found my voice, shadowing her across the waxed floor. “Point woman. All-Star states team.”“Why football now?” Dodging in front of her, I stole the ball. Delaney came right after me, fast hands trying to nab the basketball. “I’ll take sport anywhere I can get it.”“Balls too?”Because fuck yeah to that. “Maybe yours.” When she said that, I pretty much stumbled over my own two feet. Delaney snatched the basketball, hit net, and I curled around her from behind. The forgotten ball bounced . . . bounced . . . bounced . . . Unbalanced, we dropped to the floor, Delaney landing on top with a gust of bright laughter. Her hair fell in my face, softly scented black tresses I puffed out of my way. Horsing around, we rolled across the floor until I stopped on top of her. I held most of my weight off her, but when my groin connected with her pelvis, my chuckle turned into a deep groan. “Oh damn,” she whispered. Heat slammed me in the balls, and I was fully hard, my cock crushed against her pussy through the thinnest barrier of clothes. “The rumors were true.” Her hand wandered low, and she slipped her palm beneath the waist of my shorts. Warmth met my thick dick, and I pushed into her fist. “What rumors?”“Girth Brooks.”I pulled her hand free and grinded against her as come prepared to unload from my cock. “Do you always go commando, Free Baller?”Her hips jutted up. Her lips found my neck. Her hot mouth and teasing tongue made me pulse harder against her. “Am I crushing you?” Hurting you?Uhhhn. Feels good.”Fucking. Hell. I dipped my head, just about to kiss her long and hard when the door banged open and a voice boomed out, “No fraternization, Holt!”Goddammit. I quickly jumped off Delaney then pulled her from the floor, sheltering her behind me. “Jeeesus, Coach D. Don’t you have a family to go home to or what?”“Yeah.” He slapped his baseball cap against his thigh, scowling at me. “And I already done raised Philomena. Now I’m stuck straightening you dickheads out.”I ushered Delaney past him and into the corridor, prodding her in the opposite direction. “All right already. Look”—I started ambling the other way—“I’m going to the men’s locker room. She’s headed to the lady’s.”“Mm hmmm.” Coach D replaced his cap and pulled the brim down. “Better keep it that way too.”I listened to his whistle retreating all the way to the front entrance then another loud bang of doors. Sneaking back down the corridor, I reached Delaney just before she entered her locker room. I grasped her arm, and she spun around, mouth open to shriek. “Ssshhh. Just me.”Her feline-like eyes narrowed. “Boy, you are asking for trouble.”“Coach D’s gone. We’re in the clear.” I released her and grinned. “Damn, you make me feel like a teenager. You know that?” I squinted at her.

Title: DaxSeries: Southside Skulls Motorcycle ClubAuthor:...

Title: DaxSeries: Southside Skulls Motorcycle ClubAuthor: Jessie CookeGenre: MC RomanceRelease Date: May 26, 2017
Dax Marshall is six foot four of hard muscle and raw animal magnetism. As president of the Southside Skulls Outlaw Biker Club, he’s had his share of women, but never one who meant more to him than his Harley or the brotherhood. That was before she walked into the Spirits Bar and told him her name—Angel.Angel Brady went searching for something she would only find by hiding who she really was. But she found much more than she was looking for, and now her secret stands between her and what matters most. Can Dax and Angel overcome the other dangers lurking in the shadows that threaten everything they live for? Secrets that even Angel never knew. This is the first book in the Southside Skulls MC Series. This is a Standalone HEA Romance Novel, with HEA and No cliffhangers.  Intended for Mature Readers.
“How, Angel? I don’t understand!” Micah was dragging his hand through his hair the way he always did when he was upset. That was normal. She was used to that gesture. What scared Angel the most and tugged at her heart were the tears building in his eyes. Micah had been a homicide detective for ten years. He was a street cop for five years before that. At thirty-five years old he had probably seen almost everything there was to see, and somehow, she had been the one to make him cry. Fuck.
“I don’t know.” She was whispering and her voice was shaky. She had just killed her career and destroyed the rest of her future with the same figurative bullet. Micah was looking at her like she was an alien with two heads. Sadly, she couldn’t blame him. She was happy she was merely getting that look, and not the one of pure hatred that she had thought he’d have for her.

“You’re just confused, that’s all. Have you been using drugs with them? That’s probably what happened. You got in too deep. The drugs and the alcohol and…”

“I’m stone cold sober. The most I’ve indulged in is a few beers at a time and a hit or two of a blunt, you know that. I showed up for every one of my mandatory drug tests. Micah, I’m not confused. I’m in love…with Dax Marshall.” There it was…that look of disgust that would quickly turn into hate, she was sure. She knew that he was wondering if she had been sleeping with Dax and him at the same time, when they last made love. He’d have to go way back. It was months ago. They had both been so wrapped up in this case…and then what happened to her dad…that he hadn’t really questioned it, at least not to her, out loud.

“You’re screwing him?”

“I prefer not to call it that, but yes.”

He snorted. “Should I say, making love? Jesus fuck, Angel. What a fucking mess. I knew this was a bad idea. I told them when they set this up. It was a bad, fucking idea.”

Angel came out of the Hartford Police Academy two days after her twenty-first birthday. She was fresh-faced and filled with excitement for her future. Her dad was a cop as well as two of her brothers. Angel had four brothers. Two of them had bought a fishing boat together and gone in a wholly different direction. But she had always wanted to be a cop, just like her dad. Dad was her hero from the moment they laid eyes on each other and she wanted him to be proud of her more than she wanted anything in her life. She had worked on the streets for five years now and had just taken the test for her detective shield. A few days after that, her captain pulled her into his office and told her that he wanted to send her in to infiltrate one of the most lethal motorcycle clubs on the East Coast. She’d been scared to death, but thrilled at the same time. It was going to give her career wings if she handled it right. Her dad had been so proud then, but she was pretty sure he wouldn’t be now.

“Is this about your dad, Angel?” Her dad was the one that gave her the name “Angel.” Angel’s real name was Cecelia Brady. Her dad had called her Angel her entire life and that was what she had always told people that her name was. It stuck, and her dad even had it tattooed, along with a pair of white wings, on the top of his right arm.

Angel had leaned into his coffin three weeks ago, just before they closed the lid and put him in the ground, and pressed her lips to it. She looked down at him that day and found it hard to believe that she’d never hear his voice again, or see him smile. She would never forget how he lit up a room when he walked into it. Everyone loved him. After he died, Angel and her brothers were heartbroken. But this wasn’t about her dad. She was devastated about his death, but she wasn’t so depressed that it had made her suicidal the way she knew Micah thought she was. A cop that comes from a family of cops, in love with the president of an outlaw biker club…she has to be suicidal, or just plain crazy. She knew that was what he was thinking. But this wasn’t about any of that. It was simply about Angel and Dax. It was her life and she was taking control of it once and for all. “I fell in love, Micah. Why is that so hard to get?”

He actually snorted. “Well, for starters, because this whole time I was under the impression that you loved me.”

“I’m sorry.” She whispered that too. She was sorry and so ashamed of what she was doing to him. Micah and Angel had been together for three years. She did love him, but lately it had felt more like the love she had for her brothers rather than the kind that she should have had for him. She just couldn’t deny how she felt any longer. “I’m sorry I hurt you. That was never my intention.”

“Damn it, Angel! Don’t you see that it’s not me I’m worried about? I mean…hell yes, it hurts. I feel like you reached into my fucking chest and ripped my heart right out. But I’ll get over it. I’ll live. I can’t say the same for you if you hook up with this guy. He’s dangerous, Angel. He’s the main reason why you were put there to infiltrate this club. He was our number one suspect, you remember that, right? You remember all of those bodies…the burnt and mutilated bodies?” Angel shuddered. She remembered them. The smell of those bodies in that shallow grave behind the big old farmhouse in the country would be burnt into her nostrils and her memory forever. It was the most horrible thing that she’d ever seen, or smelled. She had wanted to catch whoever had done that and see that they paid for it, worse than she’d ever wanted anything, and she had helped that happen. They had two men in custody and if they kept digging, she was sure they’d have more. For six months, as she was falling in love with the president of the Southside Skulls, she was doing her job. Her job was done and now she had every right to move on with her life.

“We have the perps in custody, Micah. The Sinners were responsible for that hit on Mayhem. Now Mayhem is pretty much wiped out and the Sinners have gone back to their own territory. The Skulls don’t have any arguments with them, and they had nothing to do with what went down that night.”

“The Sinners are a spin-off of your boyfriend’s club.” He spat out boyfriend. “If they took on a hit as big as the bulk of the members of one of the most dangerous MC’s in Massachusetts, they did it at the behest of Dax Marshall.”

“Grant Benning is the president of the Sinners, not Dax. Dax only calls the shots for the Skulls.”

Micah bent forward in his chair and put his head in his hands. When he looked back up at her, the angry look was gone and it had been replaced by a sad one that made her heart feel like it was breaking. “So let’s put all of the police business aside for a minute, Angel. Where do you go from here? Are you really, honestly prepared to walk away from everything, to be with this…biker? You’re going to give up your family, your job, us…to be what? An old lady? Jesus Angel, I can’t even wrap my head around that.”

“Do you love me, Micah?”

“Of course I do; it’s not my feelings that are in question here.”

“Neither are mine. But my point is, if I wanted to say, move to California, you’d go…right?”

He shrugged. “You want to go to California?”

“No. I’m trying to get you to understand. You love me, so you’d be willing to change your life for me. I love Dax. I’m sorry to keep saying that, I know it hurts you. But you want me to explain this, so I have to tell you the truth. I love him and yes, my family is not going to understand that any more than you do. But I’m twenty-six years old and the bottom line is that it’s my choice. I’m making the choice to be with him, whatever else I have to give up.”

“Does he know that you’re a cop, Angel?”

She resisted the urge to put her hands across her aching belly. She didn’t want Micah to know that it was hurting. She had ulcers already at the age of twenty-six. She worried way too much about everything. “No, and he doesn’t have to know. I’m going to see the captain this afternoon and resign. I won’t be a cop any longer.”

“This is insane, it’s dangerous. Angel, if he finds out that you were a cop, or that you come from a family of cops…”

“Dax would never hurt me.” Micah was looking at her like she had completely lost it. She knew that he thought she was being naïve, but the connection she has with Dax went deeper than anything that she’d ever experienced and as impossible as it was to explain, she knew it was real.

“Assuming that you’re right about that, it’s not the only risk. We’re not going to stop going after them, Angel. You’re just as likely to get caught in the crossfire as anyone else. You know as well as I do that it happens all the time. They’re out of control and this community is demanding we do something about it. You know all of this. Are you willing to risk your freedom if you get caught up in a sweep? Or, God help you, your life?”

God help her but she was willing to risk everything to be with Dax. This was no impulsive decision. She had lain awake night after night agonizing over the consequences of it. But when the sun came up the next morning, every one of those nights had something in common…the final decision was that she’d do anything to be with him. She didn’t answer Micah’s questions. Instead, she managed to usher him out of the apartment and even secured a promise from him not to tell her family or captain until she had a chance to talk to them. Micah loved Angel the way she loved Dax and that was the only saving grace in this situation. He might never forgive her for hurting him, but she still trusted that he wouldn’t do anything to hurt her. It took about ten minutes after he left for her to find out how wrong she was. She had picked up her phone to call the captain and arrange a meeting, and it began to ring. It was her brother Kyle’s ringtone, and as soon as she heard his voice on the other end of the line she knew that Micah hadn’t kept his promise. Jessie Cooke writes hot romance novels about tough guys, bad boys, bikers, fighters and lovers and the women of strong character who tame them. Dax hasn't been set up for preorder on Amazon but that can be done soon once we complete the final formatting to include an excerpt of the next book Cody that is currently in editing.
Does that need to be ready at this stage?

Review: Drifter by Janine Infante Bosco

"Stryker"I’m a drifter.A man born to ride through this world alone. There used to be a time when I thought I was the rescuing type. I enlisted in the Marines and made it my duty—I was going to save lives.I was going to be a true American hero. But God had another plan.Or maybe Satan did.For everything I touch finds mortality.I’m no hero.I’m nothing.I’m a veteran biker, a former nomad who survived war only to live in hell. Now I ride with the Satan’s Knights of Brooklyn and I’m drifting into a different kind of chaos. The kind that revolves around a pretty girl with intoxicating green eyes.A girl who has the power to turn me inside out.A girl who doesn’t need anyone to rescue her because she’s her own savior.Until she’s not.But a man plagued by war and the devil inside him can never be her hero.
Gina SpinelliStrong. Independent. Fierce. They are the three things I strived to be.But sometimes being successful can be lonely.Sometimes a girl just wants to be a girl and have someone take care of her.Maybe even love her.Sometimes the strong become vulnerable.Or worse, the victor becomes the victim.Sometimes we lose control or in my case it’s stripped from you.Defeated. Broken. Haunted. They are the three things I have become. In my darkest hour I admit defeat. In my darkest hour I need one person.I need him.Stryker.

*********************************************************************************

I love Janine and it's not because we have the same name, are both from the north (It might be both those things but I'll never really tell) and she's just so darn good at what she writes. I absolutely loved her book Drifter. I didn't read it because I had to review it, I didn't get asked to read it...I just did it for pleasure. PURE PLEASURE!!! Can I tell you that it was better than chocolate? It was. It was better than having a man around but then again book boyfriends usually are. Stryker is one of those characters that grips you from the first page and doesn't let go. He just has so many demons he's fighting and he's doing it on his own. He doesn't want to hurt anyone and I dang near cried when he went through all the things he did (I'm not giving you any spoilers - read it yo self!!) So, everyone is fawning over the cover of this book and that's great because as a person Matthew is awesome but and here's my but...JANINE IS AN AWESOME WRITER!!! Don't forget that. You might buy the book for the cover because let's be honest, some people do but she's got some writing chops. I met her at a signing and she's just as real as she writes on paper. My final thoughts on this book are this...if you aren't 18 - you've been warned that this isn't for the faint of heart. There are topics in this book that are potential triggers for someone that is young but also for those that have been assaulted. I'm throwing that out there because it can cause you to have flashbacks. PTSD is real, it attacks a staggering number of people. This author did an awesome job portraying that. She is now amongst my top 5 authors that I will buy NO matter what and that's saying something. I don't take reviews lightly. If I don't like your book, I either don't review or if I'm asked to, I give a true rating. However, this was my unicorn....

Review: Wanderer (The Nomad Series) Janine Infante Bosco

CobraI’ve lived two lives. One full of innocence and one full of sin.I mourned the perfect life I was born into and made it my duty to chase the phantom who stole it from me. Revenge, mayhem and loss are all I know.
I am the lone man—I am the wanderer. The former nomad—now, Satan’s deadliest soldier. The two worlds were never supposed to collide. Innocence and sin aren’t made to coexist yet somehow my past bleeds into the present and I find myself facing my biggest regret…I find myself face to face with her—the girl who got away. The girl I let go.The woman I’ll ruin if I stay.

CelesteOur young love was marred by violence. Our guilt destroyed us, fate tempted us but, it was he who broke us.They say time heals all, but all time did was dull the ache of his abandonment. Now, dressed in leather, covered in ink the boy I mourned is now a man—a man tormented by his demons. In another life we were everything to one another. In this life we’re strangers.
*********************************************************************************
I read this on Kindle Unlimited as soon as I finished Drifter and I had too...It was a compulsion. I totally understand when someone says "They made me do it." Again, for me, this was a 5-star read. I loved Cobra, I felt for him over the loss of his sister that I'm not giving any spoilers because it's not my style. Celeste put up with a lot of crap, but she loved him...like LOVED him. Who wouldn't? Janine's a rockstar to me. In my other review, I stated that she was awesome, in this she outdoes herself and I can't wait to see what's next. I want to be her friend...seriously it's not stalking if you're waiting on baited breath for Roamer, is it? The next time I see her - I don't hug (LIKE AT ALL) but she's getting a hug and they may have to call security because she did such a great job on this series thus far that I'll probably scare her a little. No really, I can hold my inner fangirl in...Really I can. So, this book had some moments where I really thought WTF??? She pulled it off though...Read the darn book and you'll see what I'm talking about. You won't be sorry!!!

Review********************I found myself throwing all other books to the wayside for Wrench because..well it's Addison Jane and when you get an ARC copy of one of her books that's what you do.  I wanted to hug Sugar so many times in this book.  Anybody that's ever had a problem with addiction or known someone who has, know that the thoughts she has are very real.  She does what's best for her child though.  Wrench, gosh Wrench!! I just loved him and that's saying alot...especially when I love Op.  I loved Wrench more.  He wanted to slay her demons and boy did he.  He didn't care that he might have to do it without his brothers at his back - he was going to do it anyway.  He was a true hero.  GOSH, THAT MAN!! Addison is my go-to girl for writing an MC romance that just tugs at the heartstrings.  LOVE HER!! Buy her books and you will not be sorry.

When she gets the chance she enjoys the little things in life such as reading, dancing, music, and Facebook, but her world really revolves around the little girl who calls her Mum. It's an awkward balance between alpha males and Disney princesses but it works.

Writing stories has been something that's come naturally since she was young, and with the massive support of her friends and family, she finally decided to step out of her comfort zone and share them with the world.
