Jessica Mae Simmons is AquaWoman. No, really! #AtoZChallenge

On July 8, 2017, at a busy Panama beach, two children of the Ursrey family got separated from the adults by a riptide 90 meters from the beach. Parents, relatives and even strangers tried to get inside to save the children but all 11 people ended up getting stuck themselves.

With time running out and help a long way away, the people (including a grandmother) needed both a superhero and a miracle. They got it in Jessica Mae Simmons and nearly 80 strangers on the beach that day.

Determined to sav...

Liz Woodward - A Tale of Kindness Returned #AtoZChallenge

Firefighters Tim Young and Paul Hullings were exhausted when they stepped into the 130 Diner in Delran for breakfast at 6 am. They had been fighting a horrible fire for a mammoth 12 hours. When the time came to pay the bill though, they were in for a surprise.

The young waitress who had served them had overheard their conversations and chose to pay their bill for them, leaving a sweet message on their check instead - “Your breakfast is on me today – Thank you for all that you do; for serving o...

The Disagreement Hierarchy - How do you Argue on Social Media?

Trust me. This article is not as boring as that title. It is actually extremely relevant to you as a social media user.

In 2008, a computer programmer named Paul Graham made a disagreement hierarchy, placing the logical form of disagreement at the top and then tapering downwards to the most illogical and uncouth form of arguing. He could not have predicted how telling his chart would be as a mere decade later, social media is pretty much a war zone with friends, strangers and faceless trolls a...

Kristina Masalova & Eugene Petrus are Global Heroes for Pet Lovers #AtoZChallenge

This story begins on a dark night at Fort Kochi. A favourite tourist spot for foreigners and locals alike in Kerala (South India), a young Ukranian couple - Kristina Masalova and Eugene Petrus - are on holiday when they hear a pitiful yelp as they are walking back after dinner. On seeking out the cause of the cry, they come across a tiny puppy, dehydrated and starved, struggling on the beach.

They could have left the pup alone and walked away. Perhaps even fed it a few scraps and done their go...

Let 6 year old Jaden Hayes show you how to deal with sorrow #AtoZChallenge

At the age of six, Jaden Hayes suffered a pain that no child should ever suffer. Having already lost his father at the age of four, his mother too passed away in her sleep two years later leaving him an orphan. The child was truly heartbroken. How he chose to channel his suffering was something nobody anticipated though.

His aunt first realized how special Jaden was when he came up to her and told her how sick he was of seeing everyone sad and how he had a plan to change it. With her help, the...

Ibrahim Dogus is an example of Determination in Kindness #AtoZChallenge

In March 2017, a terrorist attack outside the Palace of Westminster in London resulted in injuries to 50 people, including 5 casualties. People watched in horror as policemen and emergency personnel worked around the clock that day and night, securing the area. All businesses and shops were ordered to evacuate the nearby surrounding area to be safe, to keep the people safe in case there were further attacks.

One man, however, refused.

36 year old Ibrahim Dogus - who had come to London as a refu...

Heidi Russell is the Neighbour You Want in a Crisis #AtoZChallenge

Heidi Russell, living in Tenino, Washington, was shocked when she woke up one Saturday morning and looked out her window. Racial slurs and 'KKK' (a reference to the hate-filled racist Ku Klux Klan group) had been spray-painted all over her neighbours - the Phillips, who were on vacation - house and car. The warning in those slurs were clear - that the Phillips were not welcome here and it was time for them to leave.

Heidi had other ideas, though. Determined not to let racial hate win, she woke...

The Goodhue miracle #AtoZChallenge

Goodhue is a tiny town in Minnesota. How tiny? Well, the population of the town is 1000 and they don't have traffic lights. That tiny. And yet, they performed a record in 2011 which goes against all medical logic and can truly be described as a miracle.

54 year old Howard Snitzer was walking out of a grocery store when he suffered a massive heart attack and collapsed on the sidewalk. Even as the store clerk called 911, the only other customer rushed out and started cardio-pulmonary resuscitati...

9 year old Mikah Frye's selfless deed on Christmas #AtoZChallenge

9 year old Mikah Frye was walking down the streets with his grandmother discussing Christmas gifts when he saw some homeless people struggling to stay warm in the cold night. When he asked aloud if he could do something for them, his grandmother suggested giving up a gift to donate a blanket for one of them.

That thought stayed in Mikah Frye's mind and when he reached home, Mikah informed his parents not to buy the Microsoft XBox gaming device he had asked for earlier. Mikah had been doing the...

Which are your Top 3 Marvel Movies till Date? #SuperBloggerChallenge2018

Thanos is coming. You have to be living under a rock if you are not aware that the behemoth movie event Avengers: Infinity Wars is coming to cinemas this April. It marks the culmination of a decade of cinematic storytelling that began with a billionaire playboy named Tony Stark getting kidnapped and held hostage inside a cave.
Since then, oh, how far we have gone.

We have been to the mystical land of Asgard where we saw the best (Thor) and worst (Loki, Hela) of the people there. We ha...
