It’s about time I got some writing done. I finally sat do...
It’s about time I got some writing done. I finally sat down and finished out a whole new chapter of “the Bitch King”. It is not a lot of progress, but it is some progress nonetheless. I have not exhausted my inspiration but I am forcing myself to take a break so I don’t squeeze myself dry, forcing myself into another two week hiatus.
I did re-vamp the covers of the series… again. I SWEAR THIS IS THE LAST TIME. I also updated the look of the website, and all of that good stuff. My roommate calls updating book covers my “hobby”. Maybe if I get good enough at it I can do them for other people instead of constantly tearing down and building up my own.
Anyway, here is a picture of the new lineup! I might have some more sneak previews of the Bitch King coming up soon, and don’t forget that a copy of The Dragon’s Disciples is still up for grabs! The June giveaway will end soon. And I have a cool idea for a July contest that I think will be fun. More details on that later!
And thanks to everyone who replied to my last post about advertising. It’s still a struggle, but I think I’m going to be able to see it through. Just have to keep researching and communicating with other writers!

New Mini Project
I have a new mini-project coming up for you guys. It’s a bit darker than the one I’ve been working on, and I’ve been in the mood for very, very dark. So stay tuned.
Advertising?
Hello my beautiful ones. I hope your Wednesday is treating you well. I’ve seen better hump days, but I’m still alive so I guess we all have something to be grateful for.
I’m actually here to ask a question this time. It’s about advertising, which I am sure you have all noticed I am terrible with. How do you, my fellow authors out here, advertise your works – generally and genre-specifically? I’ve been thinking about taking out print ads in newspapers / literary magazines and the like, I’ve even though about buying ad space on websites, but I have heard that buying an ad on Facebook or (hell forbid that unholy site) Goodreads is a waste of time and money. (Yes, I hate Goodreads. That is probably a whole ‘nother blog post, though.)
So, yes, your opinion? Any and all advice would be greatly welcomed. I have already done the “usual” things. My email signature has my website and banner in it, my website is up-to date, easy to access, and I have my own URL. I have business cards and bookmarks. I have my own FB page and I have a twitter and an instagram, but I need something else, something that will get more publicity.

New character on the horizon!

Sunday is almost over, you guys. What does the week to come hold for you? We’ve got a lot going on over here. A trip to see the family is coming up next Saturday, and I get to do all of the cleaning, laundry, and packing, etc that prefaces such a treat. New Website, New Giveaway…!
New website, new giveaway, new book covers, just … everything. So much new everything!
