YouTube Corruption Update, Saturday June 4th, 2016
I hope this isn’t boring you guys, but there needs to be a public record of this. YouTube lacks transparency, and as I previously noted there is good reason to suspect that an individual within their organization is specifically targeting me (and many others as well). If this continues, I plan to do an expose on the extent of it, in which I’ll offer solutions through which we can No-Platform YouTube in Return.
Ultimately, they need us more than we need them.
That said – I may have run into an...

The Intersection of Grammar and Politics
In today’s world we like to think of grammar as a mild annoyance that we were subjected to during elementary school. Necessary, perhaps – a basic grasp of grammatical sentence structure is necessary for communication – but ultimately a tedious waste of time. More important than learning cursive script in the digital age, but certainly not on par with the importance of learning algebra.
Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, I would go so far as to say that it’s more important than...

This is How the First Amendment Dies
I spend most of my time buried in my work. Yesterday I was finalizing the video review of Tombstone, planning out the script for the next review of Star Trek, researching the past 35 years of corruption within the psychiatric industry, and working out when I’d have time to record the two pending Aurini’s Insight requests I have in my docket, when I realized that YouTube has upped the ante in attempting to censor me.
After writing about what happened, I decided to take a breather and look arou...

Am I Being No-Platformed by YouTube and Google?
About ten minutes ago I discovered that I no longer have the ability to upload YouTube videos longer than 15 minutes. This could be from the immediate copyright claim made against my review of 1993’s Tombstone that I just uploaded (creepy how they manage to pull that off automatically), but there was no indication of that. The only notification I received was that the video itself was being pulled for review; I’m inclined to believe this was an additional punishment l...

Links & updates to stuff you may not have seen
It’s been a busy month; I relocated at the start of May, and it looks like I’m going to be relocating again this weekend, with all the incumbent fun of effort and expense that a move usually takes.
Over the past few weeks there’s been a bunch of my content going up in atypical places – podcasts and an article – which I neglected to link to at the time. This post will be a round up of all of them, as well as an update as to what you can expect over the next couple weeks.
First there’s my recen...

Technological Illiteracy and Wireless Power Transfer
“We live in a society exquisitely dependent on science and technology, in which hardly anyone knows anything about science and technology.”
~Carl Sagan
I recently received a request to do a video discussing the technological idiosyncrasies of my novel, As I Walk These Broken Roads.1 One of the major themes of the book is people’s inabilities to think laterally, or to follow logic to its inevitable conclusion. “How is it that you can have good quality ales in a city, and yet they lack the tec...

Why Ghostbusters Was Doomed from the Start
It wasn’t a bad script that killed Ghostbusters (2016); the movie was doomed from the start.
BassFzz’s Video: My Problem With “Empowered” Female Characters
The new Ghostbusters film hasn’t even been released yet, and it’s already turning into a disaster. Audiences are panning the trailers, heads are rolling at Sony, and the Director – Paul Feig – is blaming it all on misogyny.
The problems with this film should have been obvious from the beginning. There’s a reason audiences have reacted so...

On Depression
This past week a friend of mine committed suicide. The week before that, one of my relatives lost her boyfriend to suicide as well. Along with all of this, another man I know lost his close friend to illness, and when he reached out to me for support I ignored him, because I didn’t understand what he was asking of me; I didn’t know that he was hurting.
So I posted a short video yesterday imploring anybody who was feeling down to reach out to somebody, to take action, reminding them that there...

Diversity is our Strength
War is Peace
Freedom is Slavery
Diversity is our Strength
Black Pigeon Speaks just released the most heavily-cited and well-edited videos on the “Diversity is our Strength” lie that I’ve ever seen. Even if you’re already aware of how false that statement is, you may still pick up something new from his video – I wasn’t aware of the mathematical/game theory analysis, though it doesn’t surprise me at all.
Interesting addition: did you know that in territories where different races of grasshopp...
