Update on my attendance at IABE 2018
Hey everyone!
Due to some conflicts in my schedule, I will not be attending the Indie Author Book Expo in a professional capacity. I will be there to support Jenn Thompson and Joleene Naylor for a few hours on Saturday, so if you want to come say hi, please feel free. I will gladly answer any questions you have about Celine, what’s going on with the series, etc. Hopefully next year my schedule won’t be so conflicting. I can tell you that Jenn will have copies of Celine available, and I will gladly sign a copy for you if you want.
I’m sorry if I let you down, but please understand that I am trying to be there for you all! I love and appreciate all of the support you guys give me.
XOXO,
Maegan

Changes, and IABE 2018
Hi everyone!
I hope that you’re having a good evening. I’m having a pretty decent one myself. I wanted to hop on here and let you guys know about what’s going on in the TNTC universe, and updates about Indie Author Book Expo 2018
TNTC Universe changes-
Honestly, some of the changes are pretty minor, and some of them are pretty big. I guess that’s how changes work, huh? Well, I can honestly say that I am changing Silas’s partner, John Wassom’s name to David Wassom. This is simply because I got stuck on ‘J’ names, and I was struggling to keep them separated when writing. For instance, I would be thinking about Jason and write ‘John’. Then with the addition of Jeremy… It was just too much.
As for other changes, there isn’t anything I can officially announce without spoiling the whole series, but just know that I am working on writing the best books I can for all of you. I appreciate your support.
I have an editor working with me, so there is a lot more character and story development happening. One of my biggest complaints about my own work is that it’s too short. I live with all of this happening in my head and when I write, I tend to leave things out because to me, they’re implied, while to everyone else is being excluded. This is something that is going to be corrected this year. Yes, this means another new version of Celine will be coming out next year. I’m very sorry about this, but if you don’t want to read it, just know that the premise and basic plot will be the same.
Indie Author Book Expo 2018
That’s right, friends, I am going to be attending IABE this year and I’m so excited. I was unable to find the space in my schedule last year, and unfortunately had to miss. I am so excited that I can make it work this year. I’ll be missing a Sabbat, but it should be okay. I’ll actually have books this time, and I’ll be doing signings, as well as a panel on Sunday. I’ll have swag bags, character images, and hopefully posters this year. There are going to be a ton of amazing authors and vendors there, so please stop by and say hi if you’re in the West Des Moines area.
That’s all I have right now, but as always, please feel free to reach out to me with questions, comments, and the like.

Getting back on the horse
Hi guys! It’s been a while.
2017 was a year of creative garbage. I didn’t reach any of the goals I set out for myself. I didn’t finish any book that I actually wanted. I feel like a failure as an author. I feel like I’ve failed my series, my characters, and above all else, I feel like I’ve failed you, my readers.
All in all I had a fantastic 2017, but my creativity and motivation were non-existent. Because of that, I intend on making 2018 a better year. I don’t have any resolutions this year. I’m not planning on posting any goals or anything like that. I just intend on working.
I’ll be getting back to filming for Youtube, working on this blog, and writing. Change is going to be slow, and I might not get everything done that I was hoping for, but I’m going to try.
I hope that you have an amazing year! If you have anything you’d like to see from me, or this blog, please let me know.

The Amaranthine Series by Joleene Naylor
Welcome to Book Reviews By Heather! Normally if I am reading, have read, a series of novels/short stories I would give each an individual review. Considering I read this series like I had just ran a marathon and needed hydration, I will be writing this first review on the entire series and short stories! Yes, it is that good!
I found the series by complete accident while browsing the “Free Nook Books” section of barnesandnoble.com (I’m a thrifty shopper don’t judge). What initially grabbed me was the cover art, seeing as how I discovered the “Vampire Morsels” short stories first, I found it interesting that she used colorful cartoon looking illustrations for each characters backstory cover. Do not be fooled by the character illustrations, these ARE NOT children’s books!
I know exactly what you’re thinking, “Oh hell, not ANOTHER sparkly ooey-gooey vampire series,” as you slam your head into a…

Amaranthine Fan Fiction Fling
There may or may not be a crossover with a Night Touched character or two. If you’re a fan of the Amaranthine series, you definitely need to check this out.
Did you want Verchiel to turn Katelina? Did you want to see Sorino and Kai in a romantic short? Or maybe you thought Micah should hook up with someone, or that Katelina should have said yes to Samael. Now’s your chance to address those things, and right the wrongs. That’s right. It’s time for fan fiction!
What is fan fiction? A story written by a fan about characters from a fandom. Fan fiction can stay in the canon universe (in other words it could fit in with everything that happened in the series) or it can be alternate universe (meaning that crazy things can happen, like maybe Patrick didn’t get killed, or maybe Katelina joined Malick and had a showdown with Jorick – the possibilities are endless!)
Between May 16 – July 16, 2017 submit as many Amaranthine fan fiction stories as you’d like by sending them to Joleene (at) JoleeneNaylor.com…

New Teasers and Some Decisions
So, I’ve decided in the past few days that I need to actually do more to advertise. I’m an author, I have books and works that are available for people to read, why do I not tell more people about them. With help from my dear friend, Edith, I am feeling much more motivated to tell people about it. I have a couple of teasers for you that you are welcome to share, or do whatever you’d like with. If you haven’t read Celine or any of my other work yet, please know that it is all available on Amazon and part of the Kindle Unlimited program!!

Something to write about
This week has been incredibly difficult for me. I never expected to be as sad as I was, or get over it as quickly as I did. I am feeling much much better, and honestly, I am ready to move forward.
I am doing a beta read/edit for a dear friend and I’m enjoying it already. I wish I could tell you guys more about it, but I can’t :P.
I started doing the 365 Days of Gratitude challenge, after some encouragement from my friend, Jonathan Harvey. I’m on day 3, and I think that it is really helping me find things to be grateful for. It’s like a social contract with my Facebook friends, which is really cool.
Spiritually, last Sunday was a big moment for me, and I am beginning a new step on my path. I am so so happy with everything right now.
I’m still working on Jeremy, even though it is NOT a rewrite. I’m just struggling with focus. I don’t write on here often enough, and I hope to change that soon. Even if I just post little life updates like this.
Thank you to those that still read my blog. I’m sorry I’m not better at it.
I’ll be off to bed soon, but I just felt like making a post. Having a wonderful evening/ day!
