NASA Spacecraft Data Suggest Water Flowing on Mars

PASADENA, Calif. -- Observations from NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter have revealed possible flowing water during the warmest months on Mars.

"NASA's Mars Exploration Program keeps bringing us closer to determining whether the Red Planet could harbor life in some form," NASA Administrator Charles Bolden said, "and it reaffirms Mars as an important future destination for human exploration."

Dark, finger-like features appear and extend down some Martian slopes during late spring through summer, fade in winter, and return during the next spring. Repeated observations have tracked the seasonal changes in these recurring features on several steep slopes in the middle latitudes of Mars' southern hemisphere....

ARCs of Invisible Sun Have Arrived!

Did I say ARCs? Make that ARC, singular, as in one. It arrived in the mail today with a nice note from its editor. Though it hasn't even been opened yet, I have great plans...to give it away. As soon as Goodreads approves it, I'll post the URL so that everyone can enter to win. I will give away more ARCs later when more arrive. For now, though, this is the first and only.

Invisible Sun is a breathtakingly beautiful book, with an the OMG cover by , he of Mortal Instruments fame and the artist who created the paperback jacket for Black Hole Sun. I'm kind of partial to the inside, too.

So, if you'd like to be the first on your block of the internet to read Invisible Sun, watch this space (and Twitter, Facebook, and Google +) for the announcement in the next day or two.

The Landlord in Soul Enchilada

Lots of hits have been coming in from Google with the phrase "landlord in Soul Enchilada" or something similar. This, of course, has piqued my curiosity, so if you've visited my site (or are currently here via such a search in Google), please leave a comment to let me know what brought you.
