Liza has her own baggage. Growing up an old child in posh London, she’s never wanted for anything. Her parents set her path in life: university first, then successful career, happy marriage, and children. Fed up with being told what her life should be, Liza rebelled, dropped out of school, and took to traveling to escape. She landed in Dutch Harbor, hoping for a glimpse of the Deadliest Catch crew. Working as a waitress at a local watering hole, she soon realizes that her mates were right about Alaska, where the “odds are good, but the goods are odd.” But then she meets Daniel, and the attraction is instant and the laughs and drinks keep coming.
Daniel’s wolf is showing signs of damage from his overindulging; the animal is sluggish and refuses to relinquish control once he does rise. Daniel’s crewmates and friends have tried to warn him, but he didn’t listen. A cowboy’s gotta let off a little steam, right? When trouble comes in the form of the crew from a competitor’s trawler and Liza is attacked, Daniel’s wolf can’t surface to come to her rescue. Will his wolf ever come back? And will Daniel and Liza’s love have a chance to grow before something even worse happens?

G’day readers! I thought I’d have way more time for plotting and writing on top of my editing job once the kids went back to school but, boyo, it just hasn’t happened! Work is real busy so that’s a good thing, providing for the family and all. The kids are full-time in-person in elementary and middle school, so fingers crossed it goes okay. It’s been 7 weeks and no covid cases yet, but it’s still a worry. It is quieter at least!
So we finally got our first wolf out to you in the Night Shift Crew series. He’s a cowboy and sexaaay as heck. Hope you fall in love with Daniel and cheer him on. He’s got a bit of work to do to make some changes in life and to win Liza’s heart.

Hey ya’ll! So sorry it took so long to get this second book out. I live in Michigan where Covid-19 is hitting hard and we’ve been shelter in place since March 13th. I work from home anyhoo, but when my kids came home and then started home schooling (schools are closed for the year here), I’ve struggled to keep up with my job as an editor, my kids, their schoolwork, the dogs, the farm (from Maple Syrup to springtime duties now), plus one hubby, and my books seem to get pushed to the wayside a bit. So it’s no fault of Gemma’s. Only my own. But I promise we will be faster with the next one out, Dutch Harbor Wings. Until then, I hope you enjoy Dutch Harbor Kodiak!
