Open Road Press releases new paperbacks

Over the weekend, Open Road Press officially released two paperbacks to the market with another release upcoming in a month. Thanks to its new distributorship through Small Press United, a division of Independent Publishers Group, titles previously published only in e-book format have been formatted for print and set up on a print-on-demand basis.

Wheels of Wisdom collects another first-place award

2018 Best Book Award WinnerWheels of Wisdom: Life Lessons for the Restless Spirit has won its fourth 1st-place book award and its eighth award overall. Best Book Awards selected the seeker’s devotional as the winner in the Christian Inspirational genre of its 2018 contest. Wheels of Wisdom places among Heavyweights

2018 Bronze Medal in the Illumination Book Awards contestWheels of Wisdom: Life Lessons for the Restless Spirit by Tim and Debbie Bishop has picked up its third book award. This will never get old! Last week, the Jenkins Group announced the medalists in its 2018 Illumination Book Awards. According to the inscription on each medal, these awards are “shining a light on exemplary Christian books.” Wheels of Wisdom earned a bronze medal in the devotional category. Wheels of Wisdom wins Readers’ Favorite Gold Medal

Preparing for the Solar Eclipse

What’s the big deal?

Most people in the States already realize that we will “see” a solar eclipse swath a diagonal path across the US on August 21, 2017. This rare event has prompted much publicity. One local county at ground zero expects 170,000 visitors, which will nearly double its population, at least for a few hours. I hope they double the rate of pay for their law enforcement.
