My Review: 5stars out of 5

When I want to read a good romance, it simply makes sense to reach for one of Lizzie Lamb’sbooks. Not only are her heroines strong, snarky women, her heroes appropriately gorgeous and misguided, but…Scotland!

Since moving to Scotland, I’ve come to appreciate the beauty, c...

I’m appearing ‘down under’ today on the Australian Romance Readers’ Association blog today talking about my love of Scotland. It’s a great blog but there’s always a waiting list to appear on it. Do have a look if you have time.

What next for New Romantics Press?

F06 F02 F01

Three years and a couple of months ago the New Romantics Press (NRP) – Adrienne Vaughan, Lizzie Lamb, Mags Cullingford and June Kearns ‒ was born. Huddled together in the backroom of a villagepub in the wilds of rural Leicestershire, trembling with fear and trepidation, four fledgling authors – having met through the RNA and all on the New Writers’ Scheme ‒ launched themselves on the world.

Dozens of book launches, blogs, newspaper reports, radio interviews and videos later, we’ve embrace...

Adrienne’s – Fairy Tale of New York

Batman in New York

My favourite superhero Batman was there to greet me – a fairy tale come true!

Summer holidays exist to be savoured long after the local wine has been drunk (why does it never taste the same?) and the freckles have faded and it’s true, memories of happy times in sunnier climes keep us going through the January gloom.

Review of Scotch on the Rocks by Lizzie Lamb

jo lambert - writer

BookCoverImage (CS) 27th May (1)When I first started reading Scotch on the Rocks and was introduced to Brodie, I thought six foot three – yes; green eyes – yes; auburn hair….aah. You see I’ve never been a great fan of men with any red in their hair. My favourite heroes are dark, brown or blond but never flame haired. However…I have to say as I continued to read, I became quite smitten with Brodie McIntosh. In fact by the end of the book this hot American marine biologist had got right under my skin!

Here in Scotland, it’s calleduisge beatha—whiskey, the water of life. The first time I heard this was my first morning in Scotland. We were staying in a castle-turned-hotel outside of Edinburgh, and staring at the bottles of whiskey strategically placed along the breakfast buffet. When I saw the “full Scottish” breakfast—black...

Lizzie Lamb

With three novels under my belt we headed to Bonnie Scotland in July to research number four. No rest for the wicked, eh? Having just watched the Outlander Series (based on the novels by Diane Gabaldon), I was interested to visit some of the locations where filming had taken place. Then it was on to Ballachulish and a tour of Castle Stalker by the owner. The castle in my next novel,Castle Tèarmannair, islooselybased on Castle...
