This morning I volunteered at Bloxwich junior parkrun, I helped to set up the course but ran away before the run started.

This morning I volunteered at Wednesfield junior parkrun, I handed out 13 finish tokens but ran away as soon as the tail walker finished.

This morning I ran a 5K race around East Park in Wolverhampton, I was not especially quick but I did leave with a massive frozen turkey.

This afternoon I did nothing.

andrewaguecheek comments on Nuclear Weapons don't actually exist.

Facebook memories today reminded me that (most recently) during the 2019 General Election campaign in response to a question from the #CND I stated that

We will scrap Trident whilst telling the rest of the world that we still have it, all of the deterrent at none of the cost.

I'm also reminded about this brilliant short story I once found on #reddit.

9.66km 'Long' Run

9.66km 'Long' Run

I need to get back into the habit of having a long run on a Sunday evening, especially if Im going to enter the Boston (UK) marathon in April.

Managed 6 miles in 62 minutes tonight, my longest run for several weeks.

#running

Tomorrow is #parkrun day, and I'm heading to East Park parkrun to enjoy a nice breakfast at Hickmans Cafe, oh, and also to reprise my tail-walker role.

I've just got in from work, it is dark, cold, and damp, do I really need to go back out just for a run?

Yes I do, because it is Thursday and I have a #C25K group relying upon my motivation, wit, and experience, to get them through their first parkrun in a couple of weeks time.

Besides, it might even be fun.

Announcing Annotags: A Concept for a Decentralized Literary AnnotationProtocol

It took me an age to find this proposal, that I'm sure I read a few years back, by randomly googling (duckduckgoing?) terms I thought I remebered from the page.

It was remembering the author telling hamlet to get over it that finally lead me to the right place.

Not to be, man. Not to be. Get over it. #Hamlet #G1524:a3s1P24

Tomorrow East Park #parkrun (in #Wolverhampton, not Hull!) are celebrating their 3rd birthday.

I hope they have plenty of cake, because I'm planning to finish last (#tailwalking) and don't want to miss out.

It was four years ago today that I ran my first #parkrun outwith the UK, with a random trip to Dublin and Darndale parkrun.

I've since returned to parkruns in Ireland three times, including Dardale for a second time earlier this year.

I've also gone on to run parkruns in other countries, France (Montsouris), Germany (Volksgarten), and most recently Poland (Pole Mokotowskie).

One Year in England

Today marks the one year anniversary of the last time I arrived back in England, I’ve been here ever since and that is probably a new record for me. I’ve not even left the two counties (West Midland / Staffordshire) I can call home more than twice.

The 29th of February was the last day of normality for me. I had traveled over to Dublin on an overnight coach, I had a McDonalds coffee overlooking O’Connell Street, I ticked off The Silver Penny ‘spoons (my last ever new ‘spoons?), I parkraced at R...
