Non-Amazon options coming soon

Back in December, when I released Handle with Care , I joined the KDP Select program on Amazon, which meant my e-book had to be listed exclusively with Amazon for the first three months. That was a strategic decision on my part and I don't regret it. I had always intended to drop out of the program at some point and make the book available through other outlets. But you know what they say about best laid plans...

I dropped out of KDP Select 3 months ago, but the story is still only available on...

New Short Story Preview

Picture I'm so excited to give you a sneak peek at a new short story that I hope to publish very soon.

As you can see, the cover is ready to go and the story just needs to be edited and proofed. Since it's only 10,000 words, that shouldn't take long at all.

Here's the blurb:

Chris, Sean and Tim: three former college roommates who reunite for a relaxing weekend at a lake house. When they discover that they have all been hiding secrets, will the revelations damage their friendship or will sparks turn int...

Free M/M Fiction

There are a couple of books offered for free today on Amazon that I just have to mention. The first isToo much, Too little, Too late by my friend, Alp Mortal. This is the first book in a series of six that make up The Great Dane Saga. I read these before Alp and I met, and I fell in love with Dane from the start, devouring the entire series in just a few days. Dane is a larger than life character: influential, sophisticated, suave, but at the same time kind, loving and generous to a fault. He...

Another LHNB teaser

Here's another teaser from the story. Hopefully I'm not giving too much away :):
“I’m okay,” he said slowly, “or at least as okay as I’ll ever get. I’ll never be able to forget, will I?”

“Maybe not. Certainly not if you never do anything to replace those awful memories with some good ones. You can’t spend the rest of your life alone. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for you, but you have to try to make a connection with someone, to let yourself fall in love.”

Abruptly, he shifted h...

LHNB Teaser with a Teaser Cover!

Picture Okay, the title of my LHNB Story is not really going to be "Title goes Here," but this was the only way I could think of to post a teaser cover without revealing the actual title. I hope you like it, though I think it will make a lot more sense once the teaser title is replaced with the real one.

Along with the teaser cover, I thought I'd also post a bit of a teaser from the story. To comply with event rules, names of the main characters have been replaced with X and Y :)

Here it is:

“Like any...

Editing is fun!

I wonder how many times I would have to repeat that before I made myself believe it? I think there's probably not enough time in my lifetime to actually do that. As much fun as writing can be, editing is a painful process. Editing on a deadline is the worst! And, of course, after the editing comes the proofreading. Thankfully, I will get someone else to help with that. :)
Although I hate this part of the creative process, I am excited, because it means the story will soon be out of my hands an...

Happy May Day

Picture Around Chicago, Spring has finally sprung, which is great! It's warm and sunny and the trees are flowering. very inspirational! Of course, there is another cold front heading our way (so the weathermen say) but it's too nice out right now to worry about that.

Unfortunately, I did not meet my goal of having my LHNB story written by April 30, but I came pretty close. It stands at about 18,000 words right now and I should be able to wrap it up tonight or tomorrow. Then I will have to edit and fi...

Crunch time!

Picture My hubby and I went away this past weekend for a long overdue mini-holiday. It was a very nice, relaxing trip, and exactly what we needed, except that it robbed me of a weekend's worth of writing time when I could least afford it. Now the LHNB deadline looms large and I really have to put the pen to paper to get this story complete by Wednesday at the latest, which will give me a couple of weeks to edit and proofread. If you have any good vibes to spare, send them my way :)
