Ancient Guardians: The Reckoning (Book IV) Announced

Release date:

After a long week of pushing through edits, ughhh, let’s get real…AFTER I decided to combine two books in one and take on THAT crazy task, I finally feel that I can announce a release date. May 30, 2016 is my tentative release date. Why do I say ‘Tentative?’

Right now we are finalizing edits and then it will go to my test readers. During this time (2 weeks from now) I will be bringing my ideas to cover artist. He will take over from there. When the betas get back with their feedback, I will make suggested changes and send off to our professional copy editor. During this time, I am contacting my book formatter and I’m pretty confident she’ll have the book book back to me in time to reach my publishing date!

Thank you, everyone of you, for having so much patience with me in all of this. Honestly, if I didn’t combine books 4&5, book 4 (alone) would have been in your hands by now. But, I couldn’t do that to you…I really felt I needed to combine the two for a fantastic ending to the series!

So without any more said, look for “The Reckoning” in May! (And don’t worry, I’ll keep you updated if we are moving faster or are held up with delays)

To clear things up, I have only published books in The Ancient Guardians series!

Thankfully I had a reader bring this to my attention. I am in the process of getting this worked out with Barnes & Noble nook, to ensure that readers are not confused by the company assuming that I am Sage L. Morgan.

For now, all I can do is write this post on all my social media platforms to help readers learn that I am not Sage L. Morgan.

Here are the facts: I have only published three books!

2. Ancient Guardians: The Uninvited

3. Ancient Guardians: The Awakening

I will be publishing the fourth and final book in this series in early 2016.

The Ancient Guardians series is a clean romance novel series, targeting ages 13 and up.

I don’t read or write any form of erotica novels, sorry it’s not my style or preference.

I hope this clears any misunderstandings up.

Am I dreaming or did ALL THREE books in the Ancient Guardians series win in the 2015 Reader’s Favorite International awards??? I’m speechless! Congrats to “The Uninvited” for taking GOLD in the Young Adult Romance category, and “The Legacy of the Key” taking silver in this category as well! To “The Awakening” for snatching up the Silver medal in Young Adult Fantasy…both TOUGH categories for the books to compete in and once again, The Guardians have made me proud to be their author!!! Now for the fun part…holding up to my part of the bargain: I’ve said that if all three books win this year, I will definitely go to the Miami award ceremony…. Yeeeee!!!!!

Congratulations to “The Uninvited” now an award winning book!

I’ll admit that this was an extremely hard book for me to write. A simple example, when I write I am literally in the characters mind. For those of you who have read this book and know what Reece deals with, you may be able to understand why I had to shut the laptop more than once in order to write ‘the scenes’ she was struggling in. If that wasn’t enough, I decided to write this book in Levi’s point of view as well! Wow, what a challenge! It was mentally draining and when our Guardians went to war…I WAS READY FOR IT!!!!!

This all said, I had NO IDEA how readers would receive this book. I sat back in relief when readers enjoyed it, and now? Well…here it is, The Uninvited joins The Legacy of the Key and has won GOLD in the Global eBook awards!!!

Way to go go, Guardians!!!!

Ancient Guardians NOT a three book series!

Amazon has this lovely little feature that has me a bit frustrated even though I try my best to get the word out that the series does not end with book 3, The Awakening!

So it’s time to clear things up.

First of all, yes…my editor encouraged me to take a HUGE risk and end book 3 in such a way that it would stand out differently from the previous books. She believed that in order to make the ending “unpredictable” we cut an entire chapter and push it into book five. This risk has caused quite a bit of feedback and also left some readers so upset they sort of forgot everything else in the book and rated it low because they were upset about the ending. It’s perfectly fine, but my issue now is readers are believing that the series ends there due to Amazon’s new way of promoting the book. (3 Books in the series…picture above).

Facts: Book 4 is written and in editing and revisions. We have no concrete date for its release, but we do know this: It will be released!

Right now, I may be ending this series at book four, but if something happens in the whimsical world of Pemdas, we may have book 5…we may have book 6! We don’t know yet. ;) But the most important thing is, The Ancient Guardians novel series is not a trilogy! There is a book in edits and revisions that will pick up where book three ended!

Special note: It was the hardest decision of my writing career to end book 3 like I did. But, I like the books unpredictable and interesting, so I followed my editor’s advice and took the risk!

Now with all of this said, Ancient Guardians is not over. We have much much much more for our readers!

Book 4 of the Ancient Guardians series and a new update!

You may just have these two expressions with the news about to give.

First of all, I can’t thank all of our wonderful readers for being on this amazing journey with me. It’s been unforgettable and I feel as though we are all one big family (along with our fictional family) ❤

After weeks of consideration while we work on Book 4, I’ve decided that in order to deliver the best book possible, I will be pulling what I had from Book 5 into book 4 to complete The Ancient Guardians Series. I honestly feel this will deliver a better book and the best way to end the series.

Now, not to worry too much. The way the series will end will NOT leave anyone hanging or guessing. (Here comes the second expression from RDJ)

I am actually being pulled in a new direction with the Guardians and that is: to write short stories following Levi and Harrison when they first began guarding Earth and their encounters while doing so. (Think of it as a TV series.)

Right now this is where The Ancient Guardians novel series is at. However if Book 4 is turning out to be 300,000 words because we brought Book 5 into it, we’ll be forced to separate the two. I honestly don’t see this happening. So, I hope this is agreeable with all of our readers and I would honestly love your feedback. I’ll keep everyone posted if we change things up and we decide to keep Book 5 as our final book!
