Before and After....

Well, I did it! I had some cosmetic surgery done to my current novel The Exception To The Rule. I didn't go with a full face lift, more like a little Botox and collagen injections. I'm still waiting on all of the websites to update. So what do guys think does it catch your eye a little better than the old one:

After:

And to celebrate the new look I've dropped the price on the Kindle version to $1.99 for a very limited time! So be sure to download yours! Even though the outside is different the inside is the same!

Let the Count Down Begin!

I am so excited about my upcoming novel An Unplanned Lesson. I feel like a kid waiting on Christmas! I had originally planned on releasing it in April but I'm thinking it may be a little sooner! Maybe, just in time for you to spend your Saint Patty's Day with a hot Irish guy - Mr. Dailan O'Maley! I know he will not disappoint you!

I'm also hoping to have my current novel The Exception to The Rule up on Barnes & Noble in nook format by mid march. I can't wait to share Kat & Julian's beautiful love story with all of you nook users. The word on the street - have your tissues ready! But what do I know, I just wrote it!

I will keep all of you informed on both. So I will anxiously count the days until my book release      like a kid waiting for Santa! Here's a special celebrity guest to start the countdown:

Happy Sunday!!

Another Tiny Teaser....

After a couple hours of incredible sex, Mrs. Aymes was completely out of my mind. I moved closer to Dailan and rested my head on his chest. “That was really good,” I said.

I looked up at him as he nodded and I realized that he was half asleep. He pulled me even closer to him. “I think I could fall in love with you Nicole,” he muttered. My jaw dropped as panic ensued. I looked up at him again and he was already fast asleep.

My stomach fluttered as tears began to fall from my eyes on to his bare chest. The one thing that I had depended on this whole relationship was now gone. Dailan O’Maley had opened his heart to me. Now I had to decide if I wanted to enter.

One Month Closer To Summer!

Wow! Can you believe it's March already? Where the heck does the time go? Is it me or does anyone else feel that the older they get the faster time goes by? I am so looking forward to the warm weather and longer days!  In honor of the month of March and the whole Saint Patty's day thing I'm doing my blog in green today! Okay, I'm really doing it in green because it goes better with my book cover.

I'm happy to report....my newest novel An Unplanned Lesson may be out a little sooner than the scheduled April date (keeping my fingers crossed!) Check it out here on goodreads. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17410887-an-unplanned-lesson
Stop by my Facebook page for teasers and updates as to the release date. IF I get 200 likes by the release date, I will be choosing one lucky winner of the e-copy of my book! I am so in love with this book (is it normal to read a book about 100 times and still never tire of it?)
In other news.....The Exception To The Rule was chosen to be part of the Author Fair at the Princeton Public Library in Princeton NJ - Yup I'm a very proud book mom!! Don't get me wrong, I'm a proud kid mom too (well, most of the time) but my books don't talk back and they always do exactly what I tell them!
Happy Friday & Happy March!

Shaking it off and moving on....

Well, I knew it was going to happen eventually - someone out there was going to hate my book! I tried to brace myself as best I could for when that day happened and thought, "No sweat, I could handle that when it happens!" Well, yesterday it did, a stinkin' one star review on Amazon. And even though I thought I could handle it - it still felt like someone was beating up on my kid right in front of me.

So, after thinking about it all night long, I have come to the realization. Not everyone is going to like my book. Everyone has different tastes and prefers different writing styles. For this particular reviewer my book and writing style was not it.  I asked her for an honest opinion and I got it! Although, I would have been a little bit more okay with that one star rating, had she at least finished the whole book (okay, maybe I wouldn't have).

I'm not going to let one bad review ruin all of the good ones and all the positive things that I hear from everyone on Facebook and Twitter! It was really strange that I happen to stumble across this blog out of nowhere yesterday and found this beautiful review written about my book....almost like someone knew that I needed a pick me up:

So, here's to a better day! Be sure to check out my Facebook Page for a teaser to my new novel An Unplanned Lesson and get to know Mr. Dailan O'Maley a little better! https://www.facebook.com/BethRinyu

Happy Tuesday & Happy Thoughts!!

Get to know Mr. Dailan O'Maley

Because I'm so excited about my upcoming novel "An Unplanned Lesson" I decided to share a little teaser for all of you:

“Why are you staring at me?” I asked.

“Because I think you’re hot,” he said as he chewed on his straw and his smile became even wider. Ryan started to giggle, never taking his eyes from his coloring.

I pursed my lips and shook my head. “What, are you twelve?” His only response was the arrogant smirk that I had become so acquainted with over the past few months. “You know what – why did I even agree to come out with you tonight? Oh wait—that’s right, I didn’t agree, you just took it upon yourself to barge into my classroom and demand that I go,” I said, not finding any humor in his immature behavior.

“Do you always take demands like that from a man, darlin’? If so, I think I need to get you in the bedroom,” he said as he rubbed the scruff on his cheek.

I couldn’t take his obnoxious behavior anymore. I shook my head and shot him a dirty look before giving him a swift kick in the knee.

“Ouch, that wasn’t very nice,” he said as he rubbed his knee under the table.

“Keep it up and I’ll aim just a little higher.”

“Then that would be your loss.”

“Oh, I’m sure it wouldn’t be,” I snapped.

Ryan seemed unfazed by it all as he continued to color. I realized now exactly where Ryan got his colorful vocabulary - from the immature, arrogant male chauvinist sitting across from me. Did I mention incredibly sexy as well?An Unplanned Lesson An Unplanned Lesson by Beth Rinyu

Cover Reveal

Well....I was going to wait to share this with everyone, but my excitement has gotten the best of me! So after only a few months of writing (yes, once I started this one I just couldn't stop) and painstakingly finding the perfect title, it's here! My cover for my new novel An Unplanned Lesson. Due out April 2013. I am so pleased with the way the cover came out, it was just how I had envisioned it! To say that I am SUPER EXCITED to share this book with the world is an understatement! I am in love with it and the characters that I created and I hope that you will all feel the same way after you read it!  I am having major writers block after writing this, I don't want to leave it to go on to another! So without further ado, here it is:

Nicole Morgan, the new second grade teacher at Pineview Elementary school, has it all together in the classroom; it’s her personal life that she can’t find peace with. Unable to let go of the guilt that she is harboring from her past, she punishes herself by running from all potential relationships.
Her patience is put to the test when Dailan O’Maley the obnoxious but very sexy uncle of one of her students enters her life.  She slowly cracks away at Dailan’s crude, crass exterior when they are forced to work together for the sake of his nephew. The two of them learn a lesson in love that neither had planned as they discover that the guilt they are hiding deep inside isn’t the only thing they have in common.  Unbeknownst to her, he holds more than just the key to her heart.  Excerpt:

Here's a teeny tiny excerpt....I want you all to be surprised when you read it for the first time:

Time For Some Cosmetic Surgery....

I am happy that I received some very positive reviews about the inside of my book this weekend. The outside well....that's a different story! No one is liking my cover, so I'm considering having a little cosmetic surgery. What do you guys think? Do you think it needs a face lift?

Or, should I live by the words of wisdom that has been instilled in us all "It's what's inside that counts" Hmmm......I have some serious thinking to do before going under the knife!
On another note.....I received the proof of my cover for my new book An Unplanned Lesson (yup, I finally thought of a title) and I LOVE it!! This cover for sure, will NEVER be going in for cosmetic surgery!  I can't wait to share the outside and inside of this book with you guys! Even though after writing this one, I'm having major writers block because I still cannot disconnect myself from the story....that's how much I LOVED it! I'm hoping you guys will too....just a few more months to go before you fall in love with Nicole and Dailan (at least I hope so!). Until then, fall in love with Kat and Julian's beautiful love story in The Exception to The Rule.

Grinning From Ear to Ear....

http://bookchickwithkick.com/2013/02/15/the-exception-to-the-rule-by-beth-rinyu/

http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/536496506
Yes, this review was posted yesterday and I'm still smiling! I Just can't help myself! Especially since she hit on my main goal when I was writing this story - To evoke emotions in my readers. I remember wiping the tears off my keyboard when I wrote that one particular scene to which she was referring. I was praying that it would have the same effect on my readers, but was doubtful.  After all, I had become super close to Kat after creating her and writing about her for so long, so of course I would feel for her! But would someone who had just met her a few chapters ago feel the same? Well, I'm happy to report.....yes!!!!  To know that I achieved this with someone is worth more than any amount of money in the world to me!  So I'm going to revel in this for just a little longer. I think I will look silly, walking around with a permanent smile!
