Monday Morning Blues
Well, it's back to work after have an EXTRA long weekend. Is it wrong of me to say that I would rather have my teeth drilled without Novocaine if it meant that I could stay home today instead? Besides having five whole days off and a great time on those days, I also got A LOT of writing done. An Unplanned Life, the sequel to An Unplanned Lesson is about 80% complete. I'm not going to lie, I'm taking my time with this last 20% because I am truly going to miss these characters. I thought that I had a writing hangover when I got done with An Unplanned Lesson well that is going to pale in comparison to the one that I'm going to have when I get done with this book! I'm relating very well to Diane Keaton's character in Something's Gotta Give....so many tears are being shed as I'm writing this. This in my opinion, is the most emotional book I have written thus far. I know that some of you may not agree after reading it but that's just me. So, I'm letting you all know now....stock up on those tissues when you see them on sale because come November (hopefully) you will using them all up!
In case you missed my Facebook posting last night, here is the teaser that I posted. Rachel Wiser is a new character that you will be introduced to in An Unplanned Life. She will be at the top of you list of characters to hate in this book (trust me, there will be a few others as well). Get to know her, just a little here:
“Nicole! How are you?” Debbie, Dailan’s assistant said as she gave me a hug.
“I’m good.”
“Oh my goodness that baby is just the cutest! Sorry, Dailan had to get called in on his day off, but there’s a problem with one of the big clients he’s threatening to sue the company and Mr. Allan is freaking out.”“Oh boy, well I just came to collect Ryan and Ella.”
“Oh yeah, come on back I was just getting Ryan a lollipop. Dailan’s in his office on a conference call right now. Rachel and I are in the conference room with the kids.”
“Oh, who’s Rachel?” I asked.
“She’s one of the new paralegals. I’m going to be working full time for Mr. Allan in September.” She rolled her eyes as if she wasn’t pleased. “So, I’m training Rachel. She’ll be working for Dailan.”
“Oh,” I nodded. She opened the door to the conference room and the smile that was on my face immediately faded away. I had to do a double take, when I saw my baby in the arms of Rachel Wiser, the girl who had made my life an unbearable living hell in high school. I was speechless as our eyes locked.
“Nicole Morgan?” She stared at me with her piercing blue eyes that looked as if they were looking right through you.
“Nicole O’Maley,” I corrected her as I snatched Ella from her arms.

Paying It Forward
Happy August, I can't believe how fast that time is going by! Drowning in Love will be out for a month already this Sunday....wow! Well, the month of August is going to be very exciting.....I will be doing my cover reveal for An Unplanned Life (the sequel to An Unplanned Lesson) on August 7th and there will be a great giveaway that goes along with that.
Also for the month of August I've decided to donate all proceeds from my very first novel (which is very near and dear to my heart) The Exception to the Rule to St. Jude Research Hospital for Children. I had this story in my head forever and when I finally sat down and typed it out, I let my friends and family read it, of course they told me that they loved it. So, I took a chance and published it for the rest of the world to see. I was so afraid that they might not be as nice as my friends and family. Well, I never expected to receive all the kind words and reviews that I have over the past few months from people who have read it. I didn't set out to make a million dollars when I wrote it. I wrote it from my heart and felt like it was a beautiful story that needed to be shared and enjoyed by others. Based on the feedback that I've been receiving I feel as if I have achieved my goal. So now I would like to pay it forward to help a great hospital that does so much. I am fortunate enough to say I have two very healthy children. Others are not, so I feel that whatever I can give however large or small will help make even a tiny teeny difference in someone else's world who needs it. So please spread the word so we can make this a great donation for a great cause!

Back To Reality.....
I'm back from my most favorite place in the world, Cape May, NJ. And even though it was scorching hot and the water was loaded with jelly fish I wouldn't have wanted to be any other place in the world.
I find that I do my best writing when I am there. Maybe it's the salt air or the beautiful homes that make me feel creative. When I wrote my fist novel and now as I am on my fourth, my feelings are still the same. I'm not writing to become a millionaire (although I really wouldn't complain if that happened). I write because I have stories in my head that I want to share with everyone else and hope to give others enjoyment from. But a girl could dream right? So if one day Oprah just happens to pick up one of my books and like it....the first thing I would do is move down to Cape May permanently. I would spend my days sitting on my big front porch of the beautiful Victorian home that I would buy with all of my money, while breathing in the salt air and listening to the seagulls fly overhead....and this is why I write fiction, I have a great imagination! But why I'm dreaming - which house should I choose?
Another good writing spot is right here....minus the sand in your keyboard:
Thank you for fantasizing along with me and for allowing me to share my pictures with you....now it's back to reality - unpacking, laundry and food shopping! Hope all of you have a great Sunday!

One week later.....
Well, it's been one week since I officially introduced Travis and Mia to rest of the world and so far everyone has been kind to them. I am very happy with the feedback that I've been receiving and I am so thankful that everyone loves Travis & Mia as much as I do. It is now available in paper back and on itunes. I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to message me with their kind words, or wrote reviews on Drowning In Love, I really do appreciate it. To all of my favorite book bloggers....I was holding my breath that you guys were going to like it. Thanks for reviewing, blogging and spreading the word about it. I'm so glad that all of you enjoyed it! I'm still going through major character withdraw, missing Travis & Mia very much! But they have their happily ever after that they have to live out and they don't need me intruding in life anymore (don't mind me, I talk about my characters like they're real).
I will be on vacation this whole week. I will be bringing my laptop, to be spending some time with Dailan and Nicole but don't know what the internet access is like where I'm staying at. So, if you don't hear from me as much....I was not abducted by aliens. So continue to spread the word about Drowning In Love while I'm gone! Hopefully when I get back I will have a lot more pages of Dailan and Nicole for you guys. Hope all of you have a great week....I know I'm going to try, really hard!

Saying Goodbye To Another Book Couple...It's Never Easy.
Well hopefully you all know by now, that I released my latest novel Drowning In Love a bit earlier than planned. I had planned on July 22nd then I was thinking that July 10th would have been the perfect day, since the book was dedicated to my grandmother and her birthday is the 10th. But I was like a kid on Christmas morning an had to hit that publish button!
It's live on Amazon, and nook. It's uploaded to itunes but not live yet and it should be available in paperback by next week. If anyone would like a signed copy you can order one right from this blog through the pay pal link.
I'm excited but sad about it being released.....all of the anticipation is over. I can no longer open up my laptop and delve into Travis' and Mia's world. Not to mention, I really miss them! I know this sounds crazy but, my characters become like old friends to me and when I end a book I feel like I've severed a friendship. Thankfully, I know that they are never too far away. I just have to fire up my kindle and I can go back and visit any of my book couples any time....and yes I do quite often!
So, now I have to move on to my next book couple.....Hmmmm do you know who they are? I think you just may!
If you've read Drowning In Love or any of my books, would you mind leaving a review on Goodreads or whatever website that you purchased them from?

Hello Sunday....
I was going to wait until later to post the final teaser to Drowning In Love but....I'm impatient! I'm a little sad because this will be the final teaser before it releases (and all of you know how much I love teasers). I can't believe that it's almost here. It's like preparing for a wedding all of the time an prep work that goes into preparing it and in one day.....it's over! But that just motivates me to conjure up more stories and characters to bring to life for you guys in new books!
Don't forget An Unplanned Lesson is still .99 cents on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. There's still time left to spend some time with a sexy Irish guys, for cheap! Plus, it will prepare you for my next book that I have coming your way - An Unplanned Life
Okay, I know what your thinking.....quit rambling and post the teaser already! (Don't forget to add to your TBR list on Goodreads)
