my amazingly talented friend Catherine Cote (aka Cee Cee) shared her work using my "she is Fearless" & "be still, take action" stamps.

i about fell off my chair when i opened the email!

she rocked the stamps using inktense pencils and gesso

painting...time to just be

i have taken monday and tuesday this week to just "be" as i like to call it.

no cameras,

no pressure,

just me, my paints and the canvases

a chance to reconnect with myself and see what spills on to the surfaces i am painting.

i can tell sometimes when the process of creating for consumption overshadows the process of creating to "breathe" and i just needed a couple days to "purge" so to speak.

i worked on blank canvases,

finished up some convases i had lying around in progress and i just wen...

playing with IZINK...

trying out a new product called izink.

IZINK is acrylic-based pigment ink. This blend of ink allows it to have properties of both pigment ink and paint. It is opaque, permanent, UV-resistant, acid-free and can be diluted with water or alcohol.

like i do with most products that are new to me i test them, compare them and play a little to get a better understanding of how they will translate into my art.
