In my writing, these themes are interwoven. When a girl, I fell in love with The National Geographic Magazine and dreamt of seeing the world. In January 2014, I traveled to Antarctica and achieved a life goal of exploring every continent. Since then, my adventures have included Iceland, Japan, Morocco and Russia. My paternal grandmother's early life in Calabria, southern Italy had always intrigued me. She emigrated to Canada in 1913 but no one knew much about her years prior to this. I conducted research and travelled to southern Italy twice on a quest to learn more about her and the family. The Inheritance is fiction but the story emerged from what I learned!(less)

“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.”
