Before change…
This thought kept me awake last night and finally, I had to get up and try to clear my head.
The news last night was so unsettling. I’m not shy to say that Mr. Trump was not the person I saw leading our country, but I don’t see the senselessness of the destruction that took place (and I’m afraid to look at what has happened overnight). This man is who was elected and I PRAY for him to be MORE than I expect from him. I PRAY for him to turn my thoughts around and be MORE kind than some of the things I’ve seen and heard. PLEASE let him be MORE, because for him to fail… well, the only way I can even think to say it is this…
IF HE FAILS WE ARE SCREWED.
Let this new day be one of the HOPE Mr. Trump’s successor had us think about for our future. I, for one, don’t want to see a world without HOPE.
And so…
On that note… Going through chaos to bring change is what I am praying for. I have some changes ahead that I HOPE AND PRAY will bring some peace of mind back to Gene and I. I’m making a work change that will bring me closer to home, but more importantly, closer to Gene. I’m currently spending about three hours in the car round trip each day. Soon it will be less than an hour. I never thought about the commute time as a WHOLE when I took my current job. I will say – because I try to find a POSITIVE in everything – I’ve learned a lot in those hours each work day for the past five months – a lot about me… You can’t spend that much time stuck in traffic and NOT have time to think.

Hump Day!
I took the day off today to hang with Geno and get new cable provider installed, which meant cleaning… blcch! ha ha! But cleaning always makes me pick things up and think about whether I really need them, so some things are going away.
Also in the process today, I found things behind the tv in the mess of wires, cables, and power cords that weren’t even connected to anything – sheesh! We’ve been in this house almost seven years, so who knows what, when, and how…
As I dusted, I picked up each book I’ve written to cast away some dust and I felt happy – there are eight of them – nine and ten are WIPs and I’m excited to get back to them. Still have some things to settle down so that I can have more ME time, but there’s hope…

Welcome back!
Hello everyone,
I know it has been a long time since I’ve added any thoughts here – my head was full of too many other things that I couldn’t think about what to share with you. Lots of changes in my work life in the past few months and I am prayerful about more to come. If you follow along on Facebook, you know that we have had some (too many) trials with Gene’s health lately as well.
I’m hoping that with a new year the opportunities for me to have ME TIME will be greater. I am ready for some peace and calm.
I can tell you that I haven’t been writing as much as I’d like, but…
I have a final story from Andy that I am working on. He came to me and said “this isn’t finished,” and shared some thoughts with me

Andy – yes THAT Andy – Andy Stevens has shared a story with me. He’s told me all kinds of things that hadn’t been part of Bethy or Carlee’s journey. He’s coming to terms with a slew of emotions, memories, thoughts, and mistakes…
We aren’t quite ready to share more than this, YET.
I just wanted to let you know that I’ve embarked on another journey (see how I keep slipping that in!) with him. Gene approves!

Where does the time go?
I’m not good at this at this time in my life. My brain is too full of random things that keep me on the super highway spaghetti bowl of exits and on ramps – stopping – going – wrong turns – and detours.
So, I manage what I can, when I can.
I had something to share this morning, so I made sure I had an open lane to get off at a quiet exit this morning.
If you follow me on Facebook or are one of the “Angels” you know that Andy’s (YEST, THAT ANDY) been talking to me – a lot lately. He woke me one night and said he had a story to tell. I’m listening. Many of you have reached out and asked me of there would ever be another book in the Rock and Roll series about Andy, Bethy, Carlee, etc., and their lives. All along I’ve said NO. In my mind the next story with Andy would bring his death and….
ANDY WILL NEVER DIE.
He may show up in a cameo spot here or there (like in Tate), but I can’t write his end. I LOVE HIM TOO MUCH!
What he’s been telling me lately hasn’t been THE END, it’s a whole lot of answers – some that he’s been searching for, and some that you wanted answers to. We are a work in progress right now, but I wanted to give you fair warning – get the tissues when it’s ready…

Gene and I sat on the back porch last night and he asked what I’ve been working on so I shared with him my journey with Andy so far on this trip. He got teary…
I love all of you who stop by to read my thoughts when I share them. I love that you hang in there with me waiting for what’s next – my detours have me on a slow track, right now, but we’ll get where we’re going…

A day late…
I honestly had something I was going to get on here and say, but I had an unexpected date with the sweetest chocolate lab named Jager!
Anyway…
Last weekend was ANOTHER great experience with my framily. I’ve learned that if you like what I do enough to make it a point to come see me you are FRAMILY to me! I had beautiful ladies – and Sal – come LOTS of miles to meet me – all because of Bethy and Andy. What a blessing words have become to me. Sheer Bliss did ANOTHER awesome job for us!
I’m doing another one – still here in Jax – on June 4th called Sassy in Jacksonville – see my author page for more information. It’s close to home so I’m giving you every opportunity to come meet my author friends! ;* I have a couple more scheduled and I’ll update here later.
After the Fall will be the next release and it’s being “spruced up” some more. I gave it to my niece as my first critique partner and she gave me some good feedback so I’m working on making it BETTER! I love the story and I’ll have so many people to thank when I’m done. This one is personal to me because I’ve learned about something that I have, THANKFULLY, never experience in my life – not my family – not my circle of friends. Writing has expanded my circle, and the research I’m doing on this one overwhelms me sometimes…
Hopefully it will be soon’ish
