The Tomni'Tai Scroll is Published!
The Tomni'Tai Scroll is the first novel in The Netherworld Gate series, and is available for purchase here. Please check it out and let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy it!
Kai is an elite Ranger, skilled with the sword and quick to exact justice. When his sister is kidnapped by a ruthless Kuscan for sale as a slave, Kai is forced to set the rules aside to save her. His vengeance is quick and hot, but he uncovers more than a mere group of underhanded thugs. Now he races against time to destroy the Kuscan’s underworld network to ensure his sister can live in peace. Meanwhile, he must dodge fellow Rangers who now view him as an outlaw for his vigilante style of justice. As he battles for all he holds dear, his destiny will bring him across the path of a ruthless killer hell-bent on releasing an ancient tide of wrath over the land. Talon, a cold, calculating assassin has been double-crossed by his partners. Having barely escaped their trap for him, he returns their treachery with his blade and continues to seek the Tomni’Tai Scroll –the one artifact that will grant him incredible power and enable him to finally put many old enemies to rest. A well-renowned elf sage sits near the top of Talon’s list, but that isn’t all. Talon seeks even to slay Basei, the demigod of battle. As Talon’s power grows, only one man stands a chance of stopping Talon from unleashing his ultimate and unbridled wrath upon the realm. As Kai battles for his sister, and his very own soul, his path crosses the trail of destruction Talon has left behind him, and he learns that there is much more at stake. It falls to him to halt Talon before the Netherworld Gate can be opened.

Front Cover for my Next Novel
I am very happy to show off the cover image for my next novel, The Tomni'Tai Scroll. The book is set to launch at the end of the week for the e-book, and the beginning of next week for the hard copy. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did while writing it.
Here is a short tidbit about the book itself.
In the Common Era, year 1075 the Elven Crisis was ended. The Sierri'Tai and King Lemork's cleansing war against their dark elf cousins, the Tomni'Tai has been stopped and the Sierri'Tai have been banished through the Netherworld Gate to ensure peace.
Shortly thereafter, the nearby lands were consumed by the Mage Wars, a time in which human nobles directed a crusade against all magic users on the main continent. The Mage Wars were so extensive that virtually all people with "the gift" were slain or exiled from this corner of Terramyr. The fractured kingdoms that remain find themselves locked in continuous hostility with each other to this day as they fight for control of their limited natural resources. Armies clash, threatening to engulf the realm in the terrible flames of war. Only the elves were able to retain the right to use magic, but even among this noble race magic use is limited to a select class within the Svetli'Tai elves who reside on the Elven Isles.
The Tomni’Tai Scroll occurs in the Common Era, year 1575, approximately 500 years after the Elven Crisis. An assassin has unlocked the mysteries of the Tomni'Tai Scroll, and holds the key to reopening the Netherworld Gate and unleashing his revenge on those who have used him, including Basei, the demigod of battle.
One man stands in the assassin’s way. Kai, a disaffected ranger struggling to regain his own soul after his sister is kidnapped. Kai's path is setting him on a collision course with the assassin as he seeks to save his sister and redeem himself by guarding the scroll and those threatened by it.

New Book, New Series
So, I just got some concept art back from the artist for a new book, and things are progressing right along. The new novel is called The Tomni'Tai Scroll. I won't go into too many details now, but we are shooting for a late September launch. I'll be sure to put up a "teaser" and likely a first chapter or two.
As for the sequel to The Dragon's Champion, I have received several inquiries asking me to move up its release date. I can't promise that it will be out before Spring 2014, there are many cogs involved in the machine... but I will see what can be done. Either way, I will post updates as things progress --stay tuned!

The Dragon's Champion
In the middle of his arduous training in Kuldiga Academy, Erik Lokton discovers that he is destined to become more than a mere knight. His inexperienced eyes are forced open as demons and evil creatures that had previously only haunted his nightmares awaken, and old feuds boil to the surface once more. However, Erik lacks the discipline of a seasoned knight and despite his growing knowledge of the dark forces at work in his world his curiosity and headstrong ways get him into trouble. With the help of a master swordsman and a few friends, he must learn to balance his duty to family with his destiny and responsibility to his kingdom. Yet, not all friends are true, and old debts are coming due. Erik must choose between rescuing his family, and extinguishing the crimson tide of darkness that threatens to swallow the whole realm.
