Summer is here!

Summer is finally here! Here in New England, we spend all winter freezing our extremities, while shoveling the white stuff, longing for this season. Time to head to the beach. Don't forget to bring along a good book.

The Precipice, Synopsis

Elizabeth is an interior designer in the heart of New York City. Her firm just landed a huge account with the influential businessman Jack Drescher. After a particularly vexing talk with her overbearing boss over the new project, Elizabeth receives a phone call from her grandmother Amelia, asking her to come home to the family inn at Pennington Point, Maine.

Upon her arrival, Elizabeth is met by her old friend Rashelle who tells her the grim details. The inn is in trouble. A teenage girl has gone missing. The police have no solid leads. The case has the same circumstances as a similar unsolved disappearance at the property generations earlier. It seems that history is repeating itself. If that was not enough, a conniving lawyer is pressuring poor Amelia into selling Elizabeth’s childhood home.

Elizabeth struggles to find a balance between supporting her grandmother and pleasing her boss, who is hounding her on her cell phone to begin working on the project for Drescher.

Elizabeth makes it her mission to find the missing girl and save the inn. But in her search, she discovers the old New England inn has held secrets from long ago, the shocking details of which challenge everything she thought she knew about herself, her family, and her past.
