Writing Process

Note:The featured imageabove is what my desk looks like during revisions: tea or matcha latte in a Disney mug + papers everywhere.

Through Aerogramme Studio’s blog,I saw The West Wing and The Social Network writer Aaron Sorkindiscusshis writing process (the full discussion can be found onReddit):

I write a lot of drafts of screenplays and plays. I keep writing and I keep writing; what I try to do at the beginning is just get to the end. Once I’ve gotten to the end, I know a lot more about the...

The Night Circus: Review

Written by Erin Morgenstern

Synopsis from Goodreads:

The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it, no paper notices plastered on lampposts and billboards. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not.

Within these nocturnal black-and-white striped tents awaits an utterly unique, a feast for the senses, where one can get lost in a maze of clouds, meander through a lush garden made of ice, stare in wonderment as the tattooed contortionist folds herself into a small glass box...

On 07/07/07, my now-husband and I started dating. As we danced in the rain,he asked me to be his girlfriend. I blurted out that it was just like a movie, making it no longer movie-like.

Five years after that, on 07/07/12, we got married.

Sometimes I still can’t believe that this fairy tale that is my life is real.

My husband was the first who floated the idea that I should write a book. Then, he believed in my words and was the first to suggest I pursue what I love. His support has been unwav...

Moving Forward

Happy July 4th everyone! Hope you have a great day full of family, love, relaxation, and BBQ!

I recently had to rearrange my bookshelf to make room for all my shiny new BEA ARCs as well as the books on books on books I bought after the synopses turned me into Gollum. Books are my weakness. I buy them faster than I can read them and have a perpetual TBR pile. (Not that I’m complaining…it’s a good problem to have.)

I ended up removing all my dental textbooks from the shelf, storing them away, an...
