I'd had to remove cloches, and wrap the tender plants - tomatoes, aubergines, peppers and French beans in plastic protectors - see the photo above! - I do enjoy my home grown vegetables. It seems to me that we have become a nation of whingers. It's nothing but moan and complain and curse the government and yet demand the government should fix everything: RIGHT THIS MINUTE.
The climate change storms have swept away roads. People have been cut off and flooded out, which is devastating and frightening yet even if an emergency road and a Bailey bridge are hastily put in place there's no thanks. Just moans about a single lane track and too many traffic lights.
