This morning I listened to a story on the radio about a 56-year old woman who was fired from her teaching job of 30 years after posting some comments she shouldn’t have on Facebook. Now she’s had to dip into her retirement fund to pay her rent.At first, I felt bad for her. How awful.

Then she goes on to say how unfair it was that she was fired. She had no idea that her comments were not private, because Facebook changed their privacy setting. She was posting things on only her friend’s pages....

Is Charging to Sit In an Emergency Exit Row Ethical?

As we all know, in the past few years airlines have instituted a healthy menu of fees that aren’t likely to go away anytime soon. While they may originally have been a well-meaning attempt to avoid bankruptcy when oil prices skyrocketed, they remained in full effect after prices returned to normal levels. In fact, they expanded to encompass the entire spectrum of an airline’s offering. From fees to board the plane first, to fees to print a boarding pass, air travel has become an a la carte op...

New Airport Game @ Washington Dulles International

Caught this pretty sweet life-sized game of Memory while on a stopover at Washington Dulles International Airport. Didn’t get a chance to play, but fairly certain I would’ve missed my connecting flight had I been swept up in the excitement of trying to best the top score. I’m a sucker for awesome Apps… especially ones that are six feet wide.

I had no idea this was such a hot topic. This is definitely an oversight that will be sure to make the next edition of Please Hug Me–I’ve Been D...
