I really like your post about C-3PO and his place in the Star Wars universe, but I feel like it also doesn't do his character a lot of justice. Whilst it's true that he presents a very "caring" figure, he isn't limited to that - as of current canon (TFA),
Good to know!
Someone’s also pointed out that he had an extended role in the books previous to the TFA re-imagining.
