Website | Blog | Facebook Twitter| Goodreads  My Review: Frankie is such a fun character. Sometimes he makes me laugh. Frankie is a detective who loves to solve mysteries. Did Miss Chestnut really poison Mr. Mulberry? If she didn't, than who did? Frankie goes through his list of suspects. Looks for clues. Finally he solves the mystery.

My Review Of Billy Bobble Makes a Magic Wand

AbouttheBookTitle: Billy Bobble Makes a Magic Wand | Author: R.S. Mellette | Publication Date: December 8, 2014 |Publisher: Elephant’s Bookshelf Press | Pages: 284 | Recommended Ages: 10+
Book Description: “E = mc2 is no longer the most powerful force in the universe. Your wand is.” Twelve-year-old Billy Bobble and his best friend Suzy Quinofski didn’t mean to change the universe. Billy, a quantum physics prodigy, just wanted to find a way to help his hoarding, schizophrenic mother – and maybe impress a coven of older girls in high school. Suzy, his intellectual equal, wanted to help her friend and cling to her last remnant of childhood, a belief in magic. Together they made Billy a real, working, magic wand, and opened a door to the Quantum World where thoughts create reality, and all things – good and bad – are possible.Amazon * Goodreads
TheBuzzAbouttheBook“What a great read! I must have been under a magic spell reading it – read it in one day, which I only do if the book is very good. I encourage all readers to pick up this book and spend an afternoon with the quantum-physics-knowing, often-bullied, lovable Billy Bobble and his intellectual equal, best friend Suzy Quinofski.” ~ Books4theSoul, Amazon“My inner geek smiled a lot while reading this book. Theories and ideas I had never heard of flew over my head… but at every mention, I grinned. I LOVE a book that tackles tough subjects, embellishes them and embraces it. These characters aren’t afraid of challenges, facing a bunch both personally and scientifically.” ~ Kirstin, Amazon“I think that this is a great book and I think that kids will like it a lot, because I did!” ~ Alec S., Amazon My Review:  Great, smart characters. Billy and Suzy don't quite fit in at school. They are smarter than most kids. Billy doesn't mean to get into trouble, but he does. That trouble leads him on an exciting, magical adventure. It pays to be smart when you can invent a magical wand. AbouttheAuthor:R.S.Mellette R.S. MelletteBilly Bobble Makes A Magic Wand , is R.S. Mellette’s debut novel from Elephant Bookshelf’s Press. Amazon (US) * Amazon (UK) * Amazon (CA)B&N * iTunes * Kobo * Smashwords * Goodreads My Review: I loved this book. 'It's weird, but after all my balled up thinking about between the lines, Dad spelled things out for me in a few simple words. Don't break the rules. Stay between the lines. Do something everyday to demonstrate your character. This is how I'll change the world.'

Hattie is such a great character who wants to change the world. She has to move leaving her best friends behind. But in a new school she makes new friends who teach her a lot about life and true friendship. Powerful story. Teaches not just children, but everyone to treat each other with respect.

Buzz About Book 1"The Age of Akra is a riveting, well-written, and imaginative story featuring an intricate plot and stellar cast of characters that is sure to be thoroughly enjoyed by tweens, teens, and even adults who love a great science fiction tale. This is a real page-turner and I highly recommend this book to children aged 10 and older. I just loved it and to think the author has seven books planned for the series ... I'm salivating." ~ Renee, Mother Daughter Book Reviews"What an imagination!! Absolutely fabulous. What a great read. The characters came to life so easily. Their physical descriptions have me a visual idea but their personalities evolved and developed quickly so they were my friends and heroes before very long. I cried when Mia was selected and was on the edge of my seat when it looked like Long wouldn't make it. I couldn't put it down. A very clever story with wonderful likable characters in amazing places with fascinating skills and weird animals. I went through a range is emotions with these characters where I wanted to hug them, love them, give them a good slap, protect and spend time with. I cannot wait for book 2. Highly recommend this series of books and hope they make a movie from it would be a blockbuster!!!" ~ 5 Star Review, Dannielle S., Goodreads"Masterfully told from different viewpoints, Starchild is neither a "boy" nor "girl" book, but rather an everyone book. Struggling readers will enjoy the simple truths of the characters, and more advanced readers will delight in the journey of Mai, Long, and Akra. A journey that introduces multifaceted characters, whom I hope will make an appearance in subsequent titles in The Starchild Series, because I'm already attached to them. Even the slightest of creatures was placed in Starchild with the greatest of skill, care, and thought. Outstanding job, Ms. Taylor, and I look forward to continuing my journey through the series." ~ 5 Star Review, C. Bullard, Amazon
Book 2: The City of SoulsThe City of Souls by Vacen TaylorTitle: Starchild: The City of Souls (Book 2) | Author: Vacen Taylor | Publication Date:October 14, 2013 | Publisher: Odyssey Books | Pages: 176 | Recommended Ages: 10+ Summary: In The City of Souls, the pilgrimage to the Valley of a Thousand Thoughts continues. Amazon | Barnes and Noble | iTunes | The Book Depository
Buzz About Book 2"The City of Souls is the second book in a science fiction fantasy featuring an intricate and engaging plot, well-developed characters who are faced with new challenges, a well-described setting reminiscent of Star Wars with a hint of Lord of the Rings and Indiana Jones-style action and suspense. I’m in this series for the whole haul as I feel completely invested in what happens next as the prophecy continues to roll forward. I highly recommend this book as well as the series to science fiction aficionados ages 10 years and older looking for something a little different. ~ Renee, Mother Daughter Book Reviews "The author graciously sent a signed copy of this 2nd book in her series to my daughter Emily. Emily read Vacen Taylor's first book in the Starchild series: The Age of Akra. She very much enjoyed the adventure and getting to know the characters. Emily eagerly anticipated the next book! Emily was thrilled when her copy of The City of Souls arrived and did what she could do to avoid her homework so that she could sneak and read The City of Souls. She read the book with much interest and said that she loved every bit of it. As a parent, it's a big comfort and joy to me when my kids find stories written for their enjoyment! The Starchild series captured the heart and imagination of my daughter. And she very much looks forward to book three." ~ 5 Star Review, Vonda N., Goodreads"Ms Taylor provides masterful descriptions that don't bore the reader. Thank you. I think the writing is at its best in the action, but the character building, backstory and forewarning is all there and relevant to the overall building of good storytelling. I'm assuming the introductions to some of the other multifaceted characters will have relevance in future books. I do hope so. Overall, a great read for children who are looking for something refreshingly new and unique." ~ 5 Star Review, Kirt T., Amazon

My Review Of Wicka The Chronicles of Elizabeth Blake

Wicka by Christy Deveaux
About the BookTitle: Wicka: The Chronicles of Elizabeth Blake | Author: Christy Deveaux | Publication Date: May 28, 2014 | Publisher: Independent | Pages: 224 | Recommended Ages: 12+ Book Description: While mourning the loss of a mother figure, Elizabeth Blake, a smart but socially introverted seventeen-year-old girl from Ann Arbor, Michigan, enrolls in an international school in the south of France to finish her final year of high school. Here she meets her true love, finds out that she is a witch from an ancient family, and discovers that her life is in danger. Meanwhile, the Elders—the most powerful coven of witches in the world—have been tracking Elizabeth since her birth. According to an ancient legend, a battle led by “One barely born existing to lead” will cause the downfall of the Elders. Fearing that Elizabeth is the heir to this legend, the Elders try todestroy her before she can fulfill the prophecy. With the help of her new friends, Elizabeth must travel to Greece to try and prove to the Elders that she is not a threat and to ask for their permission to exist in peace. With the prospect of having to leave each other once the school year ends and return to their homes onopposite sides of the world, Elizabeth and her new love have to find a way to stay together. However, a rival love interest discovers their plan and causes the Elders to act against Elizabeth. As time runs out, Elizabeth must learn to use the powers she possesses to protect herself and the people she loves most.
Amazon * Smashwords * Kobo * Goodreads
My Review:  I loved this book. Great characters. Elizabeth and William are destined to be together. I enjoyed watching them fall in love and feeling Elizabeth's insecurities. When they first meet Elizabeth had no idea she was a witch. As she learned about herself and the history of her witch family, she also discovered the danger she was in.
The Buzz About the Book"I truly enjoyed Wicka, a paranormal fantasy with love, jealousy, betrayal, and of course, magic. Young adult-friendly, the book contains its own mythos that really added to the interest in the story for me. It has a truly original take on witch lore, with its own quirks and novelties, that enrich the existing idea of witchcraft. The interpersonal story here is also compelling, and it’s perfect for teens. All in all, fantastic." ~ Sam G."Not only did I find the overview captivating when reading the description, but the story caught my attention right from the start. It takes a lot for a story to do that as I am easily bored - I may as well just be honest about it. This book had me reading it from start to finish and I couldn't put it down until it was complete. The story was well written and I look forward to reading more novels by this author!" ~ A. Drewes"Mystery, suspense, love and a fascinating main character. I couldn’t put it down!" ~ Patricia Martin

About the Author: Angela Muse Angela Muse Angela was born in California to a military family. This meant that she got used to being the "new kid" in school every couple of years. It was hard trying to make new friends, but Angela discovered she had a knack for writing. In high school Angela began writing poetry and song lyrics. Expressing herself through writing seemed very natural. After becoming a Mom in 2003, Angela continued her storytelling to her own children. In 2009 she wrote and published her first rhyming children's book aimed at toddlers. Since then she has released several more children's picture books and released her first young adult romance series, The Alpha Girls , in 2012. Angela's husband, Ben Muse writes suspense/thriller books that can also be found on Amazon. Check out what else she's working on by visiting www.4eyesbooks.com
