Danielle Annett
(Blood and Magic, #6)
Publication date: November 3rd 2019
Genres: New Adult, Urban Fantasy

I thought I’d get a break. Maybe catch some R&R.Boy, was I wrong. My best friend is still MIA.My foe turned friend—Inarus—is safe, maybe. Though he’s anything but sound. And now Melody, my Harpy gal pal—is missing, leaving behind a trail of blood like some macabre Hansel and Gretel.
I’m still trying to figure out how to balance being a mercenary, and the mate of the Alpha of Pacific Northwest Pack, and the cherry on the flipping sundae that is my life, is a string of attacks against the Pack’s Clan houses.
Something is off about these attacks. The assailants are hopped up on Harpy blood.
And I don’t know about you, but I don’t believe in coincidences. Someone kidnapped Melody and they’re using her to go after the Pack.I’ll give you three guesses who it is, but you’ll only need one.The HAC is behind everything, and my mother is behind them. It’s the fight I always knew was coming, but this time only one of us will survive.
BLOOD & MAGIC: THE COMPLETE SERIESCURSED BY FIRE (#1)KISSED BY FIRE (#2)BURNED BY FIRE (#3)BRANDED BY FIRE (#4)CONSUMED BY FIRE (#5)FORGED BY FIRE (#6)
Goodreads / Amazon EXCERPT:I spotted a familiar face in the growing crowd outside and sped towards him. Oh hell no.“Caden, you’re not coming.”He jumped and spun to face me, determination in his expression.“I can fight,” he said, his voice firm.I shook my head. “No. Absolutely not.”He flinched, his expression now wary. “You don’t think I can?”I gave a harsh sigh and pulled him away from the crowd of shifters, not that it would do much good. Shifter hearing made privacy nearly impossible.“I know you can,” I told him.“Then why?” His cognac eyes pleaded with me, but I wouldn’t change my mind about this.I rubbed my forehead. Had I ever been this rash and impulsive at his age? The answer was a resounding yes. I was still often impulsive, but I was older than him. Had more experience with life-and-death situations.Caden was only seventeen. At his age, I’d already been on my own but I shouldn’t have been. I shouldn’t have had to fend for myself the same way Caden shouldn’t be faced with a fight for his life. Not now. Not when he had a promising future ahead of him.“I know you’re eager to prove yourself.” I fixed him with an unflinching gaze. “But you’re still young and —” he opened his mouth to speak but I pushed on not giving him the chance, “if what Brock says is true and you’re to be the Pack’s next Hunter then what you could do in the future is much more important than what you could do today.”He gave me a sullen look. “I can do both. I can fight today and still be the Pack’s Hunter.”I shook my head. Even if that were true, I wouldn’t let him. I refused to have his death on my hands.“You’ve heard her decision.” Declan’s voice behind me had me whirling around to face him.“Yes, Alpha,” Caden said as he brushed passed us, heading back to the safety of the Compound with his head bowed and shoulders hunched. We both followed his retreating form. “You know you can’t protect him forever,” Declan told me.“I know. But that doesn’t mean I can’t try.”He nodded before pulling me into his arms and nuzzling my hair. “You’ll make a great mother.”His words had me jolting out of his embrace as I stared wide-eyed at him.“W-What?”He gazed down at me, and I felt his hesitancy through our bond. “I just meant that you’re protective. Like a shifter mother with her cub.”I eyed him warily but accepted his explanation though all of a sudden I felt off-kilter. Declan and I had never discussed having children. Did he want them? Did I?I shook the thoughts away. Now wasn’t the time.

Or working for…Now I have a Council Member in human jail, a ragtag bunch of stuffy law-abiders to lead, and a solid inkling that the next person on the chopping block is me.All of that would be bad enough, but I’ve got bigger problems. B@@K REVEAL: Wolf by Giulia Lagomarsino

Wolf
Giulia Lagomarsino
(Reed Security, #19)
Publication date: November 20th 2019
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

CraigI met my little pixie in a coffee house and we hit it off right away. That is, until she saw me shoot someone. But in my defense, they were coming to rob the coffee shop. Who does that? Now, I’ll do anything to get her back and make her realize that she’s mine. Kidnapping? I’m not too good for that. Getting shot? Play up the sympathy card. Marry her? You’re damn straight I will. Lay down my life for her? In a heartbeat. I would do anything for this woman and I will make her mine.

ReeseIt was one non date. We had coffee together. After we bumped into each other. It was more of a meet-cute than anything. It was fun until I realized how very naive I was. I mean, the man said that he had a gun on him and I laughed it off like an idiot. Who actually carries around a gun with them. Apparently, everyone from Reed Security. But I didn’t see that, and now I have a stalker. Not just any stalker though. This man takes everything to the extreme. But I can survive him. I will survive him. And when all is said and done, I’ll go back to my life and the boring men I date. Right?

I'm a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, "No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book." I didn't think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn't already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven't been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Like, drunk and horny and naked in your bed. With my options running out, I find myself in a cut throat race against time, fighting for the woman I want back all while trying to figure out exactly how to stay alive.

Aces High is a complete standalone in the Baum Squad MC universe. It includes intense sexual situations and some violence. Reader discretion is advised.
Goodreads / AmazonEXCERPT:She scans my bruised face with an anguished expression on her own. Have the last forty-eight hours been just as miserable for her as they were for me? Or does she just feel sorry for me? I wish I could read her mind, but I just have to hold my breath and wait for an answer. The song has ended. The music stopped, but we are still in the same spot, trapped together, unwilling to part.“Four days?” she considers.“An indecent proposal.” I slide my hands down to her ass and grip both of her juicy cheeks. She’s wearing a skin-tight pair of jeans that hug every curve of her bottom. The force of my hold mashes together our lower bodies, giving Liv an up-close and personal feel of my growing need, and want, and desire. A small, titillating moan escapes her mouth as she’s swept away in the moment.“Heaven help me. I accept.” She falls to pieces right in my arms.“I thought that was going to take more convincing.” “Consider all your efforts over the last week and a half counting toward my decision.”“Oh, yeah?” My pride swells. “Good to know it wasn’t all for nothing.” I drop a kiss on her lips, and then another. I add one more just for good luck. And maybe because I just love kissing her.“So, are we done wasting time down here? I’m ready to go to bed.” Erase the boundaries, and Liv is a livewire.“Not yet.”“You’re gonna make me wait?” She’s equally pouty and surprised.“A little bit longer, yeah. I gotta put my time in first.”“And how much time are we talking?” Liv is provocatively close.“I’m not sure. A few hours, maybe?”“That seems like an impossibly long time.”“It is an impossibly long time,” I agree, my balls aching like a motherfucker. I’ve been fighting for Liv’s attention for so long, I’ve reverted back to a goddamn horny teenager.“Well, I guess I’ll just have to wait for you, then. Alone,” she sighs, “naked . . . and wet.”“Wet?” I swallow hard.

BOOK BLITZ: My Path to You by Kate Carley #GIVEAWAY

My Path to You
Kate Carley
Publication date: November 4th 2019
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
A pharmacist and a recovering drug addict. What could go wrong? There are certain combinations that simply don’t work. Not on paper and not in real life. It is a life lesson Sawyer Ferris might just learn the hard way.Nothing has ever been out of Sawyer’s reach. He has the financial means, the brains, and the brawn to turn any desire into a reality. But when the new high school counselor catches his eye, he quickly discovers he can’t have everything he wants. At least, not without taking a risk.Cass’s attraction for the leather-wearing, Harley-riding pharmacist has her running for her sanity and her sobriety. But in the small town of Krysset, it is nearly impossible to avoid the ruggedly handsome businessman. And the truth of the matter is, she doesn’t really want to.The pursuit is on, and it’s never been sweeter. Until Cass’s addiction collides with Sawyer’s past.Return to Krysset, the resort town in northern Minnesota, for a love story of courage and strength in the aftermath of personal loss and physical abuse.
Goodreads / AmazonEXCERPT:“It seems like Jack has a hard time playing nice with his friends,” Cass said.“Look, Donovan, that may be, but you don’t need to punish him for it. Guys will be guys. They’re just working out their differences.” Coach Jenkins met Sawyer’s eyes. “Right, Dr. Ferris? Guys tend to play rough.”Since Sawyer and his close proximity had been called out, he sidled up between the coach and the woman—who finally gave him a peek. And wow was the only word that came into his mind. Her asymmetrical haircut was cute and chic and so perfect for the delicate features of her face.“Yeah, as a general rule. Guys fight and get over it.” He turned and stuck out his hand. “I’m Sawyer.”Studying his face, she offered him a smile at the same time she offered him her hand. “Cass Donovan.”“Donovan, I’ve got to deal with the post-game wrap-up in the locker room. We’ll talk next week.” Jenkins turned and hustled away.Cass gave Sawyer her full attention, eyeing him with feminine curiosity. It was the equivalent of a shot of good whiskey easing, warm and smooth, throughout his body.“It’s good to meet you.” She tilted her chin upward slightly. Her bulky wool coat hung open at the front, displaying her petite body and the slender line of her neck. “Are you a parent of one of the players on the team?”“No. Just a family friend. Came to watch Ryder play.”Immediately, at Ryder’s name, her face lit up, and a smile with dimples on either cheek brightened her face. It seemed as if all the anger from moments ago with Jenkins had faded away. “Ryder is a good kid.”“He is. You’re new to town, right?”“Moved here at the end of August,” she said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear with her left hand. No ring.“Just in time for the school year.”Sawyer took a step closer while Cass surveyed him with the most enchanting honey-colored eyes he’d ever seen. It seemed intimate, her perusal, as if she were taking in every nuance of his face, and filing it away for future reference. And his face? Well, it wasn’t much to look at. A hawkish nose and a square jaw. He hadn’t shaved this evening before coming out, so he knew he was scruffy, and his goatee needed a trim. But he hadn’t cared. Wasn’t out to impress anyone. Except maybe now, he’d like to make an impression on Ms. Cass Donovan.Without thought, he lifted his hand and scratched at the stubble on his face. “I’d love to get to know you, Cass. Would you like to go to dinner tomorrow night?”Wide-eyed, she shook her head hard enough for the longer strands of hair to bounce up and cover her left eye, and then she brushed them back. “I don’t date.”“I don’t bite.” His words must’ve caught her by surprise, because a sweet little trill of laughter bubbled out.“Did I hear Coach call you Dr. Ferris?”“Um, yeah. Most everyone just calls me Sawyer though,” he said.“Oh?” She pursed her lips into a playful pout. She was teasing. The expression said as much. “So, a doctor that no one speaks of, huh? A proctologist?”Sawyer chuckled. She was cute. And she had a sense of humor.“No. But there is something about a proctologist that makes even the manliest man shudder. No, I’m a pharmacist. I own Krysset Apothecary on Main Street.”Instantly, Cass shut down. The playfulness disappeared, and the smile fell from her face and crashed to the wood-planked floor of the gymnasium. Felt like his heart fell down there, too. With the blandest expression, she said, “It was good to meet you, Dr. Ferris. Good night.” Then she whirled around and scurried away, leaving him to watch her nimbly mount the steps of the bleacher and disappear out the doors above.

Evelyn Danaher lives a quiet, uneventful life. That is until she meets Tommy. The only man who makes her lose control of her temper and her knickers at the same time.
Tattooed Irish firefighter Tommy Riordon found the woman of his dreams, then crashed and burned when a misunderstanding left him on his knees, clutching his balls.

Contemporary Romance. Contains sexual situations, violence, offensive language and mature topics. Recommended for age 18 years and up.
Goodreads / Amazon / Barnes & Noble / iBooks / KoboEXCERPT:Tommy“Does someone want to tell me what you lot are doing, sitting around like a bunch of old ladies, and for the love of God, who let that feckin dog piss all over my feckin floor?” Danny barked, making us jump.“Shit,” Kier muttered as he looked at Driscoll. The pathetic mutt was sat next to a puddle of piss, his head tilted towards Kieran and looking like butter wouldn’t melt in his mouth.“Sorry Danny, we were just chatting,” I said, knowing instantly that I should’ve kept my trap shut.“Well how nice. If I’d known that, I’d have brought some cake and a pot of tea with me. As it is, I’ll just have to remind you this is a professional feckin’ boxing gym. If you want to sit around and chat, piss off down the tea rooms,” Danny said.“What’s a tea room?” I asked.“I think it’s like an old fashioned café, but more upmarket like,” Kier explained.“Fuck me backwards,” Con muttered. “I’m going to be training until midnight if you two don’t shut your fuckin’ holes.”We all turned to look at Danny. His arms were crossed and a cigarette hung from his lips as he gave us his famous death stare. We were all squirming and cracking under the pressure when he finally spoke.“Kieran, clean up my floor and then I want five miles out of the lot of you.” This time he didn’t he raise his voice, and that was even scarier than when he shouted.“I’ll take Driscoll with us,” Kier offered. No matter what Kier did he couldn’t train the fucker, yet Danny only had to give the dog a single command and he jumped straight to it. I could relate.“Don’t be feckin stupid. It’s freezin’ out there. Driscoll. Office,” he ordered. The spoilt mutt licked Kier’s hand, then sashayed his canine arse all the way to Danny’s office where, no doubt, he’d lay out in front of the nice warm radiator.“Well, what are ya waiting for. Move!” Danny barked, and we jumped to it.“Jesus, Mary and Joseph. That mongrel of yours gets better treatment than we do,” I moaned, as we made our way to the changing room.“You make a good point Tommy. Why don’t you go back and tell Danny how you really feel?” Kieran suggested, sarcastically.“Don’t you have dog piss to clean?” I replied, grinning when he gave me the finger. “Besides, I might not be the sharpest tool in the box, but even I ain’t that .”

Will she discover that the man who seems to be judging her most has a secret of his own? Find out in this deliciously fun romantic comedy, sure to put a smile on your face!
Goodreads / AmazonEXCERPT:In my esteemed, but obviously biased opinion, Creek Water, Missouri, population 14,012, is the armpit of the world. Scratch that, it’s a ripe pustulant boil on the butt of the Northern Hemisphere. If it weren’t my hometown, and I weren’t desperate for employment, I’d have never considered moving back. Ever.I just got off the phone with my Uncle Jed—the Beverly Hillbillies reference is not lost on me—and he’s offered to make me manager of a new commercial venture he and my other uncle Jesse (yes, like Full House) are starting up in the old warehouse district. The revitalization of Creek Water continues as my former peers have discovered that it’s cheaper to live at home and not go out into the real world like I did. Problem is, I got myself into a tiny bit of trouble in the real world.I was driven in my formative years to prove that I could make something of myself without any backing from the illustrious Frothingham family, of which I am one. I was sick to death of people thinking everything was handed to me on a silver platter just because of my last name. So, I worked hard to get excellent grades in school, and I earned myself a scholarship to college. After graduation, I moved to New York City, determined to leave my small-town, small-minded roots behind. Things were going great too, until The Event.I worked as head buyer for Silver Spoons Enterprises in Manhattan, an exclusive gourmet/kitchenware boutique chain on the Eastern Seaboard. I was stationed at our flagship location on East Seventy-Third Street. The Event was the corporate dinner dance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where all the bigwigs gathered to pat each other on the back and recognize top-performing employees. I thought I was a shoo-in for the Demitasse Award, honoring the most creative contribution to the company during that fiscal year. I was personally responsible for the whole “Linens for Dinner” campaign, which promoted the idea that both urban and suburban millennials only use cloth napkins to dine, thus not only cutting back our carbon footprint by lessening paper waste, but also adding a touch of elegance to our lives. We sold more linens that year than in the previous ten years combined. It was that successful. So there I sat in my way too expensive dress—I splurged because I knew how important it was to make a good impression on the executives and because it was the perfect little number to accept my honor in—when Jameson Diamante announced the nominees for the Demitasse. There were only three of us—me with my linen campaign, Juliet Smithers from the Southampton store for her “Drink More Wine!” crusade, and Allison Conrad from Atlanta for her “Pretty Please, Y’all” call to reinstate formal invitations on engraved card stock. Why don’t we just kill the planet, Allison, with all the trees we’re going to murder for your cause?I was poised on the edge of my seat ready to throw my hands across my heart and gasp something along the lines of, “What? Me? My word, I’m so surprised!” I’d imagined how I’d get up and show off my six-hundred-dollar understated elegance to the whole room.Jameson announced, “This year’s decision was not an easy one to make, with all three ladies greatly contributing to our brand, but in the end, we chose the contender who was responsible for the most innovative campaign.”Here’s where the chain of events gets a wee bit cloudy. I could have sworn he’d called my name, so I stood up as planned, but my good friend and table-mate Lexi says that isn’t what happened at all. Apparently, old Jameson had called out Allison’s name, and she and I both went up to accept the award. How deforesting the planet is innovative, I do not know. I did hear through the corporate grapevine that Allison had gone to Jameson’s hotel room with him before the ceremony like a Kardashian auditioning her new sugar daddy. But I digress. Back to The Event.I grabbed the silver spoon out my fellow nominee’s hand and proceeded to give my speech. All of it. Which for some reason I was allowed to do. It was a beautiful speech. I thanked my mother for her graciousness and manners, and I thanked my grandmother for teaching me how to fold dinner napkins into swans. I was about to thank Silver Spoons for having the wisdom to hire me, when Allison grabbed the Demitasse out of my hand. I may have chosen that moment to snatch it back and hit her over the head with it—obviously not very hard as she never pressed assault charges, thank God.It’s all conjecture really. All I can say for certain is that I hastily fled the ceremony, trotting down all eight hundred thousand stairs of the Met in four-inch heels, in a cloud of disgrace and disappointment. I took a cab to a nearby bar, where I proceeded to drink my body weight in tequila before waking up in an unknown apartment in Brooklyn.

I didn’t climb my way toward the top of the Bratva by being a saint. I may be gruff and dangerous, take what I want when I want, but when it comes to Cerys, I find that I can’t be harsh with her. She’s gentle. Sweet. An angel. My myshka. She’s the light to my darkness. Now that I have her, I know that I can’t let her go. I’ll make her mine in every way possible. Only one problem. Artur Orlov. He wants me to marry his daughter, but I won’t. I didn’t count on him retaliating by taking my myshka from me. I’ll get her back, and if she’s been harmed in any way, I won’t stop until every last man responsible has breathed their last.WARNING: This story is suitable for those 18+ and contains language and violence that some may find objectionable.

Publication date: November 4th 2019
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, LGBTQ+, Romance
What’s meant to be will always find a way.
Perfection isn’t an illusion.I met it, held it in my hands. But then it slipped right through.

Perfection isn’t an illusion. It’s elusive, cleverly evasive, and, in many ways, a horrible tease.

I’m not a man to be toyed with.Quiet, thoughtful, and even sometimes careful, but never someone to taunt.Even the most controlled men have a breaking point.I just met mine.

Why mess with perfection? You don’t.Unless perfection messes with you.
