I wasn't sure about this one at first but it was fucking amazing. I can't wait to read the next book. I love this author.

I love this story!
Such an interesting idea, making the heroine completely blind. That’s what ultimately cemented my decision to buy this book. And I was not disappointed!
Cerys was vulnerable, and yes, she needed protecting. But that’s 100% okay. I like stories when the woman relies on her man, just like we all do at one point or another.
Don’t get me wrong, Cerys was severely tested and her inner strength totally came through, but she also had a timid side, which balanced her out perfectly.
Similarly, Viktor had his vicious side, but also his “Cerys side,” the softer side he showed only to her.
Being a Mafia romance, I expected the violence and graphic descriptions. But I loved the ending, and was so happy with Cerys and Viktor’s Happily Ever After!

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Collateral damage is the first book in the ‘’owned by the mob’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline entertaining. Cerys is an eighteen year old blind girl living with her abusive father. When her father owes money to the mob, the last things she expects is to be taken as collateral. Viktor wants Cerys as soon as he sees her. When he has the opportunity to have her as collateral he jumps at the chance but can he keep her safe?
The chemistry between Cerys and Viktor is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really disliked Artur.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.

Cerys is blind and lives with her piece of shit father, he owes money to the bratva and when they come to collect/punish him the fmc interrupts them and Victor the mmc takes a liking to her and takes her as payment. Within 24 hours he’s taken her virginity and married her. The events of the book happen over a few days and it’s quite ridiculous, like within 2 days of them having sex for the first time she’s apparently suffering a miscarriage like wtf.
It’s only 131 pages tho so it’s a quick read but it wasn’t very good.

-Owd- he marries the fmc within a day of meeting her to make sure he can’t be forced into an arranged marriage with a fellow bratva dudes daughter, he had never been with her previously or anything it’s her dad that wanted the match. The ow dad kidnaps the h when he finds out the H married her and attacks her, the ow hits her too. Turns out ow dad had been sexually abusing ow since childhood to groom her into how to be a perfect bratva wife and then he wanted to gain more power through whatever marriage he arranged for her. So h felt sorry for ow when she heard this but H had a bounty on her head anyway after he killed her dad but we’re never told what became of her.

-epilogue 2 months later- kind of a pointless epilogue, he finally says I love you to the h. He’s a boss in the bratva now and they’re at some kind of function and all the other Bratva wives had been vicious and cruel to the h (I think because she’s an ‘outsider’) and the H said he spoke to their husbands and ensured they’d be kept on a tighter leash and given fewer freedoms for a while. I’m sorry but wtf, you’re a boss? And you’re letting people shit talk your young, blind vulnerable wife? And their husbands are just going to have a word?! Wow, badass bratva boss over here, I’m swooning 🫤 not

Cerys is blind to the world around her. Her father is cruel man that owes the Russian Mob money. When she is the bargaining chip to pay the debt, he has not true problem with letting her go. Viktor didn’t expect to fall for the “little mouse.” Her innocence and kind heart drew him in. He will never give her back nor will he ever share her. But he has a bigger problem. Artur wants him to marry his daughter. Viktor will not budge on his care and protection of Cerys but sometimes things are that easy.
This is actually really a good new series. Cerys father was a jerk. He deserved what he got. Viktor may be the heavy but he has a heart of gold. His care for Cerys is unending. You have to love that. The sex is hot and steamy. But when Artur makes a move things really heat up. Boy, when you read what he did, you KNOW he is going to be one sorry man. You can just picture Viktor’s rage. I was sad to see the story end. I wanted more. I wonder who we will read about next.

"Collateral Damage" is a pretty bog standard mob boss meets innocent (and blind) young woman, claims her as his property, story.
Viktor is incapable of love but within 24 hours he has married her and:- "Even if I couldn’t give her my heart, I’d still pull the moon from the sky if I could and hand it to her." Sounds close to love to me!
Cerys may be blind and a virgin but, while the blindness is forever, the virginity is soon disposed of and the little minx takes to sex like a woman possessed.
Will her inherent goodness rub off on the vicious mobster?
Or will the path to happiness be paved with the bodies of Viktor's enemies?
It's a bit of both!
It's well written but I've read too many similar stories to be impressed.

If you're a fan of Harley Wylde's MC series, you'll love her new venture into mobsters and their ladies. What a fantastic way to start the "Owned by the Mob" series. Cerys and Viktor don't necessarily have the greatest introduction, but you can tell from the beginning that life will be better for Cerys. Or, so we believe!
Viktor is a member of the Bratva and Cerys' father owes a debt. As you can imagine, Cerys somehow becomes the "collection" and from there, the sparks and suspense begins for our mismatched couple. As the description states, Cerys is blind. However, she's a tough cookie and could put the sight seeing world to shame.
If you need a great HEA for a Friday night or weekend, this is the book for you. I enjoyed the book without having to wait for suspense, drama, or even love between the characters. The authors made sure to pack as much detail in the pages as possible. I can't wait for the continuation of this series. I'm very curious what becomes of the other Bratva members and also, what becomes of Tania? Curious minds want to know!! You've read my review! Go get the book and feel better!!

She's already an amazing author to her other books but this one? Yeah she set it on fire, I couldn't believe how amazing this book is. Viktor owned my heart for sure, they didn't meet under normal circumstances but she was it for him, love the action, the emotions the characters potray. This is a must read hands down!

This is the 1st book I read outside Harley's bikers series. I was in loved with her biker series and hoping to fall in love with this too. This one was not too bad. The H was badass bratva who never knew love and didnt understand it too. "How do you recognize love when u never had one?" I think that's the overall theme. As per usual Harley's book, the pain was written beautifully. Dysfunctional love and relationship, but who doesnt have a flaw. Two opposites who fell together in the pits of romance and there's no way to get out of it.

Good story.
There are triggers. I like the plot and main characters. Cerys has a hard life when Viktor meets her. Cerys is resilient. There are steamy scenes , action, and violence .

This is the first book in a new series by Harley Wylde and i enjoyed it. Cerys is blind and her father is in trouble with the bratva however she is taken by them, Viktor is meant to b marrying another that he hasn’t had much contact with or even agreed to marry, so takes Cerys away to Vegas to marry, it all comes to ahead as ppl are kidnapped the end of the book leaves it open for more to happen

Meet Cerys, a blind woman who is abused by her father and who lost her mother. Victor is a high member of the Russion Bratvabut and Cerys catches his interest. He even gives her a nickname myshka which means mouse. To protect her from another one of his commanders who had been pushing him to marry his daughter, he married Cerys.
Cerys is a strong woman, who has to face the outside world suddenly. She had never gone very far from her home and each experience is new for her. It’s obvious by several experiences that she has trouble in crowds, for example when she was going to get new clothes and had a panic attack. She is surprised at the difference in Victor from when they are home and when they were out in public. Like any of us facing a new situation and the love that develops so quickly, she is unsure if he really wanted her forever or if he would leave her. What she learned about her sexual preferences surprises her. She ends up liking the spanking and even the anal play.
Victor is a tough, hard-hearted man and able to keep himself and Cerys safe. He was attracted to her at first sight and impressed by her bravery, even knowing that her father was a jerk. He When he noticed all the bruises on her and finds out that it was his father’s fault, he even went back to show him that he had ruined a treasure. The poor guy didn’t know how to handle a woman he wanted to keep, and when he gives her jewelry he doesn’t understand why she is not ecstatic. He opens his heart to her, slowly realizing that he loved her even though he thought he was never able to love.
I did think that their relationship was too fast and the fact that they fell in love so quickly was a little crazy. I did enjoy the story, especially being blind myself and reading how she navigates the world. The author does a good job keeping her in character. I have read a couple books by Harley Wylde but this Collateral Damage is the first book I have read which has been co-authored by Paige Warren also. I liked this pairing of authors and thought the story was well written, had an interesting and engaging story-line and characters that had depth and emotion. This story is about mobsters and the women that bring them to their knees and have their protective and possessive Alpha's roaring out when they need to take care of her.
I liked this story and will definitely be picking up more in this series as they are published. I would recommend this book to anyone that already likes Harley Wylde or would like to discover her writing.

Whoa, this one was intense! Having read Harley Wylde a lot I can say that the violence was taken up a couple of notches compared to her MC books. It was totally in keeping with the Bratva element and it was awesome. Cerys is blind but she isn't weak. I am a total sucker for disabled heroes or heroines in books so I snapped this one right up. Viktor takes her from her father's home as payment for a debt. He is kind to her, yet he doesn't completely soften. Cerys feels trapped and scared but is still drawn to Viktor. I loved that she did speak up, feeling she didn't have much to lose. He defends her, caring for her in his way. I couldn't put this one down, would have loved for it to be longer as I fell in love with them both. Can't wait for more mob stories from the amazing Harley Wylde!
